I took it back to BB&B and they exchanged it for another one that they promised would work. Once again - it was the incorrect one. "I purchased the Maverick / Oven Chek Professional Roasting/Baking Thermometer for baking Bread. DOES NOT WORK! First use was to prove my water temp. to get my YEAST started. The temp. would not go below the 130F level. The Temp remains on the 140F all the time . I would return it, but it would cost more than it's worth in postage. Sooooo disappointed."
