"I placed an order for a Kitchenaid Mixer with the Gourmet Depot on 12/5, on 12/11 I recieved an email saying the order was cancelled because the item was out of stock. On 12/14 I found and purchased the item elsewhere. Then, on 12/18 I recieved an email from Gourmet Depot saying they had shipped the original item. I sent an email to Gourmet Depot saying I didn't want the item as I had purchased it elsewhere. I didn't get a response, but they were able to intercept the UPS shippment and do a "Return to Sender". I believe this is probably a good company but they could work on their communication a bit."

"This order was placed on September 3rd. The website stated it was back-ordered, but each time I called, maybe every two weeks, and each time I was told a shipment was expected that week and I should have the product soon thereafter. Finally, I talked to someone about two weeks ago and was told the delay was due to Hurricane Sandy soaking the supply. (I find this interesting as this company is on the west coast, but I suppose the supply could have come originally from the east coast.) I was asked if I still wanted the order, I said yes, and it arrived yesterday, Dec 20th. "

GD notified me by email when they got the order and included contact number and information on the product. Then they called me to let me know it was shipping and they estimated delivery. I asked if they could rush the shipping so I could get it before Christmas. It was scheduled to go out two days later but they moved it up and it was shipped that day! No argument, very nice people. Then they follow up to be sure you received the package. I wish all companies were like Gourmet Depot. A very nice business that cares about customer satisfaction.
