"I honestly think that shopping at the House is one of the best online shopping experiences. The site is incredibly well organized, the video informational pieces on youtube are really well done as well. "I have been buying snowboarding merchandise for my now almost 17 year old nephew for the past few years and he has always been very happy with everything from bindings, a new board this year, jackets and pants. You can't beat the quality or prices. All have been name brands. Will soon begin to buy for the 7 year old who is just beginning to snowboard and is loving it."

"The House is easily the best place to get great deals, fast delivery, and amazing customer service on all types of sport equipment.

The customer service is everything you could want, I can say from personal experience from multiple times I've accidentally ordered wrong sizes or had questions. The House lets you return with no hassles and fast responses to emails/problems.

I've ordered several sets of Skis and Snowboards through them and I will continue to do so for the future, along with recommending them to everyone I know.

"Just received my order. My wife and I are beginning to ski and ordered everything we needed to get started. Skis, bindings, poles, boots, goggles. We opened the two boxes and my ski boots were missing. Verified that they were on the packing slip, and the order, and that we paid $180 for them. Called customer service and was expecting the response most companies give: "Oh, we're so sorry, we'll get them out to you right away." Nope. The response was, "We'll have to verify the shipping weight with FedEx, which will take up to 72 hours, and if it matches what it's supposed to be, then you'll have to file a claim, which can take up to 30 days, and we may be able to send you a replacement." MAY? I don't think so. I will give them the 72 hours they requested. If they're not sending them by then, I will be disputing the charge with my credit card. And I will NEVER buy from here again, and encourage everyone I know to never buy from here. If you're thinking about buying from here, STAY AWAY."

"I purchased a pair of hiking shoes that are not available anywhere else online as far as I could tell and are some of the cheapest nice shoes I've been able to find (by Hi-Tec). Their ordering system is a little annoying because you have to be 100% spot on with how your name appears on your credit card and billing address (most other websites I've ordered from are NOT this strict), so at first the system sent me a rejection notice asking me to call customer service. I wasn't in a rush so I didn't call right away and then noticed that a day or two later they shipped the shoes anyway, I didn't end up having to waste any time talking with customer service. The shoes are great, well packaged, came via FedEx so they had to be signed for. They clearly care for how the products are presented in the box. They included a letter from the company sales manager, the shipping slip and some cool board stickers. "

"My experience with The-House was less than satisfactory too. I ordered a ski jacket from this place in November. I live in Hawaii and the shipping was outrageous ($35)with only that option. I contacted them to see if there was a less expensive way to ship (I know for a fact that it could have been sent priority for about $11.) They said no, but did offer a 5% discount code (wow!). The price for the jacket was good, so I ordered it and sucked up the shipping cost. When it arrived, the color was no where near how it was depicted on the website, so I was forced to return it to them at my cost (an additional $11 in a flat rate box from the post office - total $46 in shipping!) I received an email that my return reached them on Dec 20. I am still waiting for the return to appear on my credit card. I have emailed them about the credit and no response yet. My phone call only yielded a 20 minute wait on hold and speaking to no one but the receptionist. My feelings are the same as most others about this retailer. Horrible customer service. I particularly like the insert they send with their orders about the wonderful culture and attitude of their company and employees. Total bs."

"I wish I had done better research on this company before I ordered from them....sadly, I am now seeing that their poor customer service is standard operating practice for them. I had ordered a Bmx bike for my son, per his request, from this site, and when we finally got it, it was poorly made, and the parts were broken so that the brakes didn't work? We had to call the company, and wait for new parts, then send the old ones back...not too bad, just annoying. Then my son wanted to order some jackets....so we ordered 2. Waited patiently, but when they finally came, one was the incorrect jacket. I contacted the company,gave them all the item numbers per their website ,and notified them of the error via email. The first response was..."as soon as you send a photo of the wrong jacket"....so my response was,"why should I?"...then another "person" responded that they would send the correct jacket to me, sans photo" along with a return label.....but,after waiting almost a month, through a holiday, no jacket arrived. So, since a 15yr old boy was waiting!!!....I finally called the customer service line....placed on hold a long time, then spoke to "Danielle" who couldn't apparently figure out a computer screen or what good customer service is, and she told me that the jacket was no longer available, so that is why it wasn't sent and she couldn't tell me what they could do to make it right. When I became upset, she wouldn't listen or problem solve, only interrupted me several times, told me I had no right to be upset, and told me she couldn't pass me to anyone higher than her to solve anything...I would have to speak with "Jerry" who had lastly told me ,via email, tha he was sending said jacket,...but of course, he was "unavailable, out in the warehouse". I left a message on "Jerry"s line, and waited. When he called me back(surprise), he laughed, and said he had forgotten to send the jacket out...was all ready to send but,"giggle,giggle" couldn't imagine why he had forgotten to send it.....he was very cavalier about the whole thing, and barely apologized at all...didn't even offer anything discount,ect to keep my business(not that I would ever use them again anyway). The jacket did come finally, but the return label has their standard "threat tactic" label that states that if I don't now send the original wrong item back to them within 15 days, to be received by them in 25 days, then they will have to charge my credit card for that item!!!!.....from what I have read here with the other reviews, I plan to contact my credit card company ASAP to block that action, as this company has now pushed the return of their item to be coming through the christmas mail....and here's a thought, maybe they could be just as patient to receive it back as I had to be to NOT receive what I ordered???......and, p.s......just so all of you know, had I not called them, they apparently would have NEVER called me to let me know that they forgot to send out the right jacket......they would have been just as happy to keep my money WITHOUT ever sending product......hmmmm......I hope this makes others think carefully...some have been lucky, but it appears most have had exceptionally poor interactions with this company....."
