"I could not be more frustrated. If any of you have even thought of going through ThinkGeek - just...just don't. My first time with them. I order stuff for Christmas mid November trying to plan ahead. My order got to me on the 20th. One item, the Aperture Science Portal Gun, was shipped damaged. So I call (and let me tell you, any time you call these guys, it's like they have 1 or 2 people on staff because they'll tell you you're caller 10 and you'll wait 2 hours). I finally get someone and I ship it back. Sadly, they refuse to reserve the item for me ("it wont go out of stock, we have plenty"). I have little choice here. It gets to them and...nothing. For a week I get no calls or emails confirming they received it or are sending my item back to me. So, of course I call. I'm told that they don't have it. UPS has a signature that they dropped it off to Tom at their front desk >> and they insist they don't have my return. I keep calling. Finally, someone says that 'my return expired and that's the issu--- no actually it's that it is out of stock' >> you don't say. At this point, I just never want to deal with ThinkGeek again and want my money back, but my headache isn't over. They try to first refund me $50 for my order (it's listed as 119$ but I had a total of $70 on my ENTIRE ORDER, so of course all those discounts are on this one item right? what a joke!). I explain how seriously frustrated I am and they tried to wow me with an offer of 15...no, 20$ off a ThinkGeek store item instead. I refuse and she gives me 'more than my order is actually worth' - $82 back. How generous, expect I actually paid 95$ on the item. After having to explain the most obvious fact that the total discount is on the total order and not my single item and that I actually should be getting 95$ for my item - she checks and confirms ... giving me just the 95$ for the hassle. So first my item is damage, then it disappears in their hands, then they try to rip me off on getting my refund? What...a...joke... That's just the item I had an issue with too. The other items were about as expected - pretty cheap in quality for what I was paying, but I expected that to be completely honest."

"They sent the package to the wrong place and after waiting 2+ hrs on the phone told me to call UPS. Very unsatisfactory. Now my present's not going to make it in time for xmas. Thanks for nothing."

"Placed an online order on 12/5/14. On 12/7/14, received an email saying my order has shipped and my credit card was charged. However, according to my tracking number, the item was never picked up by the shipping carrier. Tried to call customer service number on 12/2/14 to find out what has happened. Wait time was OVER 3 HOURS! Finally talked to someone over live chat from their website after waiting 15 minutes. Said that they were sorry and would reship it, but I'm not holding my breath. Searched twitter and facebook to find dozens and dozens of posts from folks reporting the same issue. Terrible customer service. Will never trust to order from them again."

"They joke around a lot about monkeys and robots doing their work, but I'm now convinced that is less of a joke after trying to deal with their customer service. I ordered a product, and got an email the next day saying they had to cancel my order because the item was actually out of stock. That happens. I work for an e-tail site and we have zero ships too. But we call and send an email, and our email is not misspelled with poor grammar. However, the item was still showing "in stock" on the website. Trying to get an actual answer was impossible. The live chat agent told me two different things (with more misspellings and poor grammar) really unprofessional. Trying to call in to get it straightened out was just as impossible. I'v been on hold waiting to talk to a real person for an hour and a half, and that is not a hyperbole. I'm still on hold. I love what they sell, but hate how they sell it. "

"I tried to get my boyfriends Christmas present 11 days ago. it was supposed to arrive two days ago. that night i called the think geek customer service, they answered real quick, which was nice. she said since it was the day that it was supposed to arrive i had to wait. i also called ups just to make sure it was on its way since it was late. the ups lady also said everything was fine. yesterday, obviously, still not here. i waited an extra day because its the holidays. well, today i called UPS again and they said that it was now at the USPS station. SOOOO i called them. and guess what? they don't know where my package is. they said it was still at UPS. so i called BACK to the ups store and they said it was at the USPS store. i told this guy what was going on and he finally decided to do actual work and tells me that my package is missing. How did my package g missing?! and now all i want is my money back. i'm sick of online shopping. this was my first time doing it and LAST. this is in No way more convenient. so i have been on hold for now a grand total of THREE AND A HALF hours trying to talk to one of their customer service people and the same annoying song has given me a head ache. DO NOT shop at this store. his is RIDICULOUS. if the lady had refunded me the first time when i called i wouldn't be in this mess in the first place. nnow i need to find another present. "

"I had placed an order and paid extra for expedited shipping. My package is not scheduled to arrive for 7 days. I tried to contact customer service at Thinkgeek to see if we could resolve the issue for 2 days with no luck staying on eternal hold on the phone.
I do a lot of shopping online and will gladly take my business elsewhere.

"worst company I ever dealt with, NOT TO BE TRUSTED.
635cadd3c: 12-8-214: PRICE DROPPED 25% WITH 2 HOURS. THEY WOULD NOT HONOR NEW PRICE OR CANCEL ORDER. STATED IF THE PRICE DROPPED 5 MINUTES AFTER PLACING ORDER, i HAD TO PAY FULL PRICE.

"-- Beware if you order from abroad --
DHL shipping fees are just incredebly high but the wort is that you will have to pays about 50% of your order again when you receive your package. I just order for 130$ worth of item, got an extra 40$ for shipping (yeah...) and 42euros of tax to pay when I received my order.

I'm really starting to think that I paid twice for my order :s

"!!!CANADIANS BEWARE!!!
It cost me in excess of $110CDN for the purchase and delivery of goods valued $50US. They charged $28.35US to ship a package weighing 4.1 lbs. on a non-priority basis. Their only carrier option, DHL, charged another $31.61CDN for duties, administration., etc. Think Geek's offer of a $5 gift certificate to ameliorate the situation is an insult. I won't buy from them again, nor should you.

"CANADIAN BUYERS BEWARE! Purchased a $80.50 order online. It cost me $28.50US for shipping then when the packaged arrived it cost me an additional $46.85 in charges. DHL processed the order and charged me tax and duty on a tshirt that was free! DHL also charges a $25.00 administration charge. So for an $80.50 order I paid over $75.00 on top of it!...NOT WORTH IT!"

"Very customer-unfriendly operation. Also very problematic with reliability of stocking merchandise. These people are very arrogant and do not care about their customers. "Thinkgeek are just awful. Constantly had problems with them but decided for one more chance. The site says items are in stock. I wait, a week later I notice one of my items is not there. I question and they tell me it's out of stock. I go on the webpage and the item STILL says it's in stock while I'm arguing with the help. Tells me the inventory hasn't been updated. It's been a damn week! They offer to send me an email when it's back in stock so I can repurchase it and get charged another shipping fee (which by the way, the shipping fee was not reduced when I did not receive one of my items.) I already paid the damn shipping on the item and also how can I trust the email any more than the webpage? Do yourself a favor and order from someone more reliable than these markup con artists."

"BUYER BEWARE. This company is the most shady. BEWARE. They are real and sell lots of stuff, but you cannot reach the real company. They use a call-center in another State and if they cannot resolve issues even they do not have a way to contact the real company. They only have an email. I have had issues with orders, and impossible to resolve. even Google research you cannot find a ph# for the real company. You can find the address but not any real contact info.
BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK. Any company that operates like this is SHADY, small-time operation, or hides because they have a reason to be hiding. There are competitors out there that treat their customers better.
