"Be aware that Think Geek will NOT honor the sale price on an item if you attempt to exchange it, requiring you to pay the difference. In addition, they have no mechanism for exchanging merchandise...you need to return the item, wait to receive store credit, and then re-order the item and pay shipping on it again. "I get so annoyed with them because it seems like they pull products on a regular basis. I buy quite a few things from them, but the main thing that we were buying was the Zombie Blood and Zombie Jerky products ... not as gross as it sounds. We are HUGE fans of the Zombie world and out of nowhere right before the holidays they yanked the products from their online store. My husband still had one of the old bags (packaging), so luckily we were able to find out the manufacturer and their online store. I am giving them 3 stars because I hate when retailers decide what we as consumers want.
P.S. - If anyone else is like me and upset they took the Zombie products away - google Harcos Labs, they are the manufacturer and have an online store with more products then ThinkGeek was offering. "
"Ordered a couple of things from Australia on Nov 27th. Package arrived on Dec 28th (Yep, 1 month later) obviously it missed Christmas day, which I was hoping to get it on time because I was buying several presents for my family.
During this whole month I sent a number of emails to customer service, and they always replied the same irritating and frustrating message:
"Unfortunately, there isn't any tracking on economy shipments, so it's hard to know for certain where your package currently is. Let's just hope the delivery truck didn't drive near any black holes."
Since there is no tracking information, at least, I asked for shippment dates, and other revelant information for me to be able to find out what happened to the package. But they always come back with the same idiotic message and asked me to wait a little longer.
Even after asking for an order cancellation and refund options, they continue sending the same message again and again, made me think, this business is really run by monkeys with black holes in their brains.
Won't buy from this store again - Total waste of money and time."
"DO NOT USE THEM IF YOU CAN AVOID IT. See what products they have and order on E-Bay or Amazon. Way, way cheaper. And the stuff that isn't cheaper, the shipping will even it out. Why am I dissatisfied? Horrible customer service. Needed to change an order right after I placed it. Kept me on hold for 30 minutes, then said the order could not be changed because while I was on hold for so long the order had been processed. You tell me that they could not contact someone in the warehouse and ask them to change the shipping company from DHL to UPS? When I spoke to complaint department, they didn't try to offer any solutions, just made excusses. "

I had a very great experience with this site! Bought a couple things from them for a wonderful price. One of the items arrived and did not work, and I needed it for Christmas. After emailing them about the problem, they overnighted me a replacement and the customer service agent, Andre, was very kind. Will definitely be coming back to this site, keep up what you do!"
"The worst shopping experience I've had in a long while. They charged my card, took my money and never sent the package. It was an internal server error. When I told the rep that I think their system is broken, she said "The system is fine, you need to purchase again." They upped the cost of shipping in that time frame which tacked on another 7 bucks. I told her that and she just "ended the conversation."
I placed the order again, trying to do even quicker shipping(paying more) and they advertised getting the shipping out before a certain date. Well, they missed the date and now I don't have what I wanted for this holiday.
Horrible service, horrible time management. It was my first time shopping there and will 100% be my last."

Ordered a Christmas gift on December 11th. Waited ample time for delivery only to find out it was re-routed and shipped to West Virginia. Operator said it was MY FAULT for putting "Do not open til' Christmas" on the package. Customer service unwilling to issue a refund without 'more time to investigate the circumstances' even though I sent them the link showing the package had been returned to the shipping center in Ohio. Operator then told me I would have to order AGAIN to receive the product and would not offer any mechanism get the package to Christmas on time citing that it was my fault. Completely awful."
"Warning International Customers: I will never order from ThinkGeek again; they inflated the price on the parcel and I had to pay over $65 (US). I recommend ordering the same product from eBay, Amazon, or some place else, even if it's more you'll save in the end. After buying hundreds of things from the U.S. this is only the second time I've had a customs charge and it wasn't $65. The items weren't even worth that much! "
"I used to love this site, and I frequently recommended it to friends, but not after my last experience. I ordered a shirt on the October 31, and after several weeks finally checked the tracking info. My product had made it to my local Post Office, and somehow got shipped to Cincinnati, OH from there. After the post office failed to resolve my problem, I decided to ask ThinkGeek to intervene. The response I got was essentially, "too bad, so sad". That is HORRIBLE customer service, imo. So basically, I ordered $40 dollars worth of frustration as my product has slipped into oblivion, and nobody will help me."
"I am very uuhappy with the service at ThinkGeek.com... I placed an order with them and within an hour I was unable to cancel it. The item has not been shipped and will not be shipped for another 1-3 business days. It is absurd that I will be charged to ship an item that I called within an hour of placing to cancel. When I spoke to a customer service rep they were very unfriendly with me and were quite rude. I will now be charged to ship an item and pay to have it shipped back, even though I called before the item was processed. I will NOT be a repeat customer of this franchise."
"I love these guys. Their prices are a little on the high side for some things, but they also have a lot of stuff you just cannot get anyplace else.
Like someone else said, I am surprised by the amount of negative reviews I see here. Maybe their shipping has slipped a day or two behind what it used to be, but I just figured it is some "growing pains". I will watch my next few orders to see if I have the same slower order processing experiences as other people, but so far everytime I order something (about once a month) it all goes smooth. So based on my personal experiences I would give them a top rating."
"I am amazed at the bad reviews for this company on here! I have been ordering from them for over two years and have loved every experience I've had. Yes, shipping is a little pricey in my opinion, but they offer free shipping and $10 off coupons quite frequently, so it's not a big deal to me. They don't charge my account usually until I've received my order, which is always very quickly, and only once has an item been missing, which I immediately called them about. They said okay, shipped it out and I got it within three days. I love shopping here, for gifts and for myself, and I love the geek points you get with every item purchased, so I always get something free when I order there. Oh, and my 6 year old loves the monkey sticker you get with each order!"
"I ordered before 1:00pm and paid for overnight shipping. After two days I got an email that said they were just shipping and that the package would not arrive until several days later. Then I was told that any order includes two days for processing.
Seems overnight shipping is NEVER available, even though they will charge you for it.
Customer service was horrendous

"I placed an online order with ThinkGeek and 3 weeks later had to ask what the status of my order was. About a week later, they finally sent me an email saying that although they had received the order, the payment didn’t get associated with the order in their system (although my credit card had originally been charged for the order). 3 days later they refunded my payment on the order, claiming that the item was now out of stock for the unforeseeable future. I will not ever...EVER...place another order with this company."
"Absolutely horrible customer service...at least, that would be my take if I actually received customer service! They don't live up to the terms on their website as to when items ship. They don't answer their emails. And, even when they claim they've shipped, by sending out a shipment notice, 36 hours later UPS does not have the package in their possession. Utterly and completely the WORST online shopping experience I've had in the modern e-commerce era!"
