On top of that, they also sent me a coupon for a future purchase. I really felt like they cared about my customer experience. "I am very intrigued by your company and the concept and have recommended it to several friends. I do have some comments. I am very satisfied with the buying experiences i have had on Thred UP. I have bought three items. I like the personal shops where I find it easy to track and find brands I am interested in and when you receive new items. My items have all arrived as described with timely shipping. I do think if you could display more items on mannequins it would be helpful to buyers. I would not buy items that are displayed flat as you just can't tell how it is styled or how it might fit. And sometimes black items are hard to discern from flat pictures what they look like - maybe different lighting? I am less satisfied with the selling experience. I followed instructions closely for brands accepted and only sent brands that you accept and was surprised with both bags I sent as to what you took and did not take. I see items for sale that are less desirable or in worse condition then ones I sent. You accepted 5-9 items from each of my bags. I am most dissatisfied with the experience of sending a London Fog lined black trenchcoat that is hardly worn and perfectly useful to someone. I was told after my inquiry as to why it wasn't accepted after seeing an identical one on the site for sale that mine had some minor soil on the bottom of one side which was very minimal and easily remedied. It was not a tear or anything fatal to the coat. I'm sorry I did not catch that, but it could have easily been wiped down and sold for a decent price. If I had thought you would not take a full trench coat that cost me over $200 I never would have sent it with no return. I am sure you were able to sell it to some other entity but giving me no credit for it. I think perhaps you should consider some additional specific guidance for sellers that would be helpful. I have been reluctant to send another bag seeing what happened to my first two bags. I hope this review is helpful as you improve the company. "
