"I have returned 3 clean-out bags to ThredUp. For the first 2 bags, I was happy with my payout amount; although the payout I received from my third bag was so low that I felt it was not worth it, and I would rather have just donated those clothes! I'd originally used ThredUp as an alternative to selling my items on Ebay, as I felt it would be less of a hassle. However, most of my bags have taken at least 3 weeks to process, and then there is a 2 week waiting period for getting the money via PayPal. In that time, I could have listed my items on Ebay 5 times; they likely would have sold. So, I don't think I'll use ThredUp again, at least not in its present form. "

"This is a great way to clean out your closet and make some extra cash. The ThreadUP procedure is easy to follow. Because of the volume the turn around was a bit slow. Also - there were a number of items I was sure that would be accepted but were not - including a Patricia Nash bag, Coach bag and Rachael Zoe sandals - I inquired and did get back a very quick response. I have since sent a second back and was very careful and deliberate as to what I sent - depending on how that transaction goes, I will continue with ThreadUP "
