"Of course, I'm going to wish that all of my items were accepted and that I received more money but in reality that's not realistic and not what I was expecting. I sent in a bag full of items (20 items I think) and was expecting them to maybe take a few and maybe get $10 but was hoping for at least $20. They took 11 items, so over half of what I sent in and I received $46.06 and it was easy. They sent me the bag and mailing label, all I had to do was put my clothes in the bag, attach the mailing label, and place it outside my door for the mailman to pick up. Done. If I took these items to Clothes Mentor or Platos Closet, they would of taken maybe one or two items, making maybe $5, and the ones they rejected would still be in my trunk waiting for me to donate. The best part about Thredup is the items they reject are out of my house, they donate them for me. They do give you the option to get them back if you pay shipping but I rather just let them handle the donating. I already recommend this to everyone I know."

"My experience could have been better if thredUP offered the option to review what items they did not accept before mailing them back. I had selected the mail-back option in case some of my more expensive items had been rejected, but all of those items were accepted. If I had been given the opportunity to review the rejected items first, I would have preferred that they had just been donated and could have kept that extra $12."

"I admire the idea of recycling used clothing-bravo! Unfortunately you have a very confusing payout policy. Largely disappointed at the amount I received in comparison with how many items sold. May I suggest simpler policies easily understood by the average customer? Either than that, beautiful concept."

"I do not believe they have knowledgeable people reviewing the clothes inventory. An item from a high-end designer (Moschino) that I thought should have been on consignment was placed in the upfront payout category. I would have preferred to have it sent back to me (and given back the money). But there is no way to claim back something once they have paid for it upfront. The return assurance is only for items to be returned that are not accepted."
