"Reply to tigerdirect.ca comment : absolute BS I called 7 representatives between the 26th and 31st of December who all swore it was in stock and would ship the next day + a email who said I should receive it early the next week, your reply is has weak as the entire shopping experience...... As of yesterday you still show ed this projector has being in stock order today ships today and today its listed as ships in 24 hours and you come here saying it's backordered?
Just plain wrong....

Ordered a Benq W1000 projector on the 26th of December 2009,

I bought it from them because on the item description it said :

"Order today ships today" which is absolutly false and misleading.

Since last Saturday (6 days ago) I've spoken to no less than 6 different persons from their costumer service dept. who've all told me the same story one after the other

"It'll ship out tommorow", "you'll receive the shipping info tommorow", "a email has been sent to a manager","the manager sent a email to shipping to release the item" etc etc etc over and over. Bottom line is it's at the same status since Sunday "Not shipped yet" they were all feeding me the same lines not actually cheking anything, it's now Thursday an guess what... still hasn't shipped.

The worst was the email I received from them : "You should get it early next week", that's the entire email.....this was on the Tuesday and it hadn't shipped how can he say I'll receive it if it hasn't even shipped out? No "Hello" or "good morning" to start a email from costumer service?

Update on the 31st of December at 16:00 no email nothing from tigedirect this is now my status : Backordered..... JUST PLAIN TERRIBLE!!!!!!!

Bad experience, false advertising, false claims of same day shipping, abysmal costumer service, waste of a week of vacation time and phone calls just pathetic.

The service was excellent - super fast shipping! But the item arrived with a front face plate unfastened inside the package. The package was also extremely dirty. Not just dusty - my fingers were full of a black sooty substance - the entire package was covered in it. I'm really disappointed about the face plate, though. I don't have time to return it and receive another before Christmas and it's a gift so I'll have to give it like that which is going to look really bad for myself and for TigerDirect. "
