"Two main comments, one positive, one negative.

1. Positive. In the supporting comments online about the Compaq notebook I was buying, Tigerdirect warned that many companies no longer included rescue disks; they had to be created by the purchaser. I have never needed such disks, though I have been glad tio have them, and I would not have noticed they were missing without TigerDirect's mention. I have created the disks.

2. Negative. Also on the same page advertising the Compaq was a note that a 'Must Have' was a mains connector with multiple adapters at a price of $99.99. This, to me implied that the computer came without a mains adapter, especially as neither the specs nor the photos showed this. It took a quite unnecessary phone call to TigerDirect to confirm that, as usual, the laptop did come with its own adapter. I believe that listing such an item as a 'Must Have' was misleading."

"I'm a repeat customer (18 times). I like the format of the Tigerdirect web pages, the amount of information they post for each product, their prices and their after sales service. Delivery is on the slow side compared to other on-line stores and packing is crumpled paper but all the electronics I bought from desktops to TVs have all arrived in good working order - despite UPS penchant for leaving my precious goods behind the door in sub-zero weather. My last netbook purchase sat unnoticed buried in snow for two days, but worked fine after a slow thaw to room temperature. One complaint - TD frequently drops prices just after I buy something and then getting them to honour their price protection policy is difficult, also, don't reply on the 'buy today ships today' slogan."

"Straight foward purchasing. Order was processed in reasonable time frame as well as reasonable shipping time. Shipping cost were a little high but i guess Tiger has no control over that.
Second time order of same product but was slightly unhappy about the price increase within about 6 weeks. Still great value for the price however.
I have no real complaints with my Tiger Direct purchases.
