"I purchased a pair of women's renovo pro shoes for work and returned the first pair , within the 30 day window because they were too small. They refunded my money, so I ordered another pair that was too big and they refuse to exchange the shoes for the correct size. Mind you, they were only worn in my home and this is within the 30 day window. I even sent pictures of the shoes, that clearly show no wear, but Lona, the supervisor says different! This company has terrible customer service and I won't be purchasing anything from them again! Stay away from this company!!!"
"I am writing to submit a complaint for Timberland. I bought a pair of good hiking sneakers 3 years ago.
Hardly wore them. I maybe wore them 10 days a year at most! I was horrified when this morning saw that they are falling apart on the are where they have a gore-tex reinforcement. They were expensive and I trusted the brand. Will post this shocking story online to alert people! I know people who heavily use not branded hiking sneakers and they last longer, how can this happen?? Truly shocked."
"The laminated soles on my Timberland Pro work boots came apart less than a year after I purchased them. I sent them back as requested on their web site. They returned the boots with a tough luck letter saying they were more than a year old. How could they tell? Not by the minimal wear on the defective soles. Thinking that Timberland makes a quality product, I didn't save the receipt. If I did have the receipt, they probably would have said it was normal wear and tear. I'm not buying any more of this crap."
"I brought a pair of boots 18 months ago for $160CAD from Browns and after 1 year the eyelits (where the laces thread through) came apart from the leather and even split the leather. I travelled to the nearest Timberland store in the states at Seattle Premium Outlet (as Canada doesn’t appear to have any stand alone stores) and was informed my boots were out of warranty (warranty is only 1 year for a $150+ boot!!!!) and even if they were in warranty the split eyelits would be classed as wear and tear and would not be covered.
I was further informed by the assistant that I had been tying the laces up too tight - lol. I have several pairs of leather and suede boots that use laces and this has never happen before. The assistant said there was nothing that could be done except me taking them to the cobblers at my own expense or paying Timberland another $160 for a new pair that may or may not fall apart again.
I can just assume that Timberland use the poorest Quality of leather and suede and then charge $150+ for the boot. I expect a pair of boots costing that kind of money to last longer then 18 months before falling apart. Never again will I purchase a pair of Timberlands. Terrible boots and customer service. Terrible morals - let the celebrity rappers endose their crap product!

"Soles splits, company doesn't back defective boots, they say it's normal wear and tear but it is not normal for soles to split....wear out yes split no. "
"Purchased Men's, Chocorua Trail 2.0 boots, Waterproof Hiker. $120.00.
1 st. time wearing.Spent abt. 1 hour working in 6 in. dew , water covered grass.Nothing compared to full wet conditions.
After abt. 1 hr. thought I felt my toes getting wet.Went inside and took boot off.Toe area of boot , front 4/5 ins., completely wet; inside boots wet, socks wet, my toes wet.Very disappointed!!
I regard this situation as minimal wet conditions. In rain or heavy wet conditions I assume all of foot would be soaked."
"I recently purchased my first brand of Timberlands. I luckily was able to get them for a very cheap price, and in my size and my favorite style. These shoes were not broken in, and I got them for a production I was in.
The quality of the shoes were very nice. They had very sturdy laces, and the leather was very nice. The leather on the shoe was very thick, and I could tell they were very durable. The bottoms were very nice durable rubber, and I could tell they would last a long time.
Now one problem I had was how painful they were. I probably should have gotten them earlier so I could wear them out before my production, but I just started wearing them on the stage. This was a mistake. They were incredibly painful, and it hurt one of my toes so bad that it got sore and even months later, I can’t walk on it all the way. The leather was also so thick and stiff that if I wore any socks that went below the top of the shoe, I would have painful marks for up to thirty minutes after I took the shoes off.
Now while this was incredibly annoying, and painful, the shoes were still great, and I blame that mostly on my inexperience with breaking in shoes. Breaking in very sturdy shoes is usually painful, and so I should have gotten them before I had to wear them a lot.
If you get these, I recommend purchasing ones that will go with a lot of outfits that you wear, because they will last a long time. If you want to get these for a trip or event (like I did) I would recommend buying them quite early in advance so that you can wear them in. I really recommend this if you are buying one of the more stiff versions with very stiff leather. If you are just buying them for a casual look, I would wear them for only short periods at a time at first, and then start wearing them as much as you like. I can tell that these shoes will become one of my most comfortable pairs of shoes, and that they will last for many many years. I highly recommend this product, especially if you are in the market for long lasting shoes.

"I am the owner of a pair of Timberland women's Smart shoes, brown, lace up. I wore them to work one day and the sole on one of them actually began shedding all over the carpeting at work. I contacted Timberland and returned the shoes. Timberland refused to make any allowance on the shoes, citing that they were over twelve months old...I do not believe that twelve months should be the expected lifespan of shoes...I am very disappointed with Timberland and the fact that they do not stand behind their product. I can think of no reason why the rubber sole on a Timberland shoe would actually shred!

"Angela needs to be fired I have never dealt with a more disrespectful customer service rep before .... Timberland need to train their customer service reps.. I will never spend my money with is company again."
"I realized that my most recent purchase of shoes from Timberland were a few weeks out of warranty.
I should have inquired sooner about the problem I had with them. That is on me.
I realize that Timberland didn’t have to recognize my statement that the shoes had a manufacturing or design defect that occurred months before my contacting them. That is their right.
As this most recent pair as well as the pair prior that I purchased from them had the same defect, I suspect they already know about this issue. The odds of the same problem occurring with the same customer over two pairs of shoes are very high indeed.
As a repeat customer of the same pair of shoes (four pairs), Timberland could have waived their right of refusal on the warranty and given me the benefit of doubt. However, they have decided not to do this. That is also their right.
I, as well, have the right of refusal to do business with Timberland for providing me with an inferior product.
I also have an understanding of how Timberland deals with just out of warranty concerns with long term customers. A customer who has no record, ever, for warranty issue with them.
Thank You Timberland for showing me the true colors of how your management treats its customers as it is clear to me you do not deserve any more of my hard earned cash.
Take care Timberland, I will not be purchasing anything further from you."
"I returned a pair of boots because the sole was coming apart in the middle of one of the boot so I sent back for repair or replacement but they didn't repair or replace but they pulled the whole sole off boot and sent back and said it's not covered by warranty and can't repair. I will never buy another pair of timberland boots ever again."
"I had a large roller piece of luggage for about 4 years. It was never great quality. The first few times I checked the bag, it came out will small tears in the fabric and stains. Eventually the rubber wheel cover tore off while I was pulling it over a curb. I called customer service; they emailed me a free- shipping label, and I sent the piece in. I had completely forgotten about the luggage until 3 weeks later I received a full refund from what I paid 4 years ago in the mail. Quality of products could be improved, but great customer service and return policy!"
"Timberlands are the original work/outdoor boot. And their classic #10061 wheat nubuck leather boot has been around for 45 years because it continues to deliver warmth, stability, and durability in the face of the most extreme conditions. I should know! I've had mine for 5 years. In that time, I've subjected them to heavy construction, rigorous outdoor activities, and even the occasional accidental washing machine excursion, and these babies still look as good as the day my wife bought 'em. 100% recommend!"
"Bought my teen daughter a rather expensive pair of Timberland hiking boots due to a positive review by Backpacker Magazine (won't listen to them any longer). Initially, the boots were very good--fit well, supported well, comfortable. But despite only periodic normal use and proper indoor climate-controlled storage, the boots have literally come apart at the seams and other locations, rendering them completely useless. Timberland's customer service just notified me that they only warranty their boots for 1 year from date of purchase. NEVER would have purchased them with such an insufficient warranty, especially at the price I paid. NEVER AGAIN!!!"
"2017-11-23 Black Friday buy shoes for $ 84. They sent me different shoes worth $ 56 (the price is Black Friday). Customer service offered to send them shoes back with a $ 84 gift card. The postal service refused to pay. I do not recommend this store, you will only lose money."
