"They put out a $20 off coupon, thousands of folks ordered using the coupon and now they are cancelling the orders. Timberland is NOT set up to do mass amounts of business. I am done with them and will be contacting the BBB"
"I ordered the Nellie in wheat and in black when there was a 40% off promotion code available. Timberland processed my order in 2 days and shipped it via FedEx Ground. They also e-mailed me a tracking number. The package arrived 4 days later.
The quality of both of the boots is fantastic as usual. Unfortunately, the boots turned out to be too big. I had ordered custom Nellie boots from them in the past, but they were a bit snug so I ordered boots a half a size larger this time around.
I called Customer Service and asked about an exchange. The rep who answered was polite and informed me that I would have to put in a new order. She told me that I would be refunded 40% after wards, since I had used a promotion code for the order I wanted to return.
The size I need is currently out of stock, though, and the Nellie in black appears to no longer be available. However, Timberland's Return Policy is 60 days, so I will just wait it out and hope that the size I need is available within that time.
Update: I won't be returning the boots after all. I tried wearing a pair of them for a day, and I've gotten used to the feel of them."
"I love Timberland. I recently started buying buttloads of Timberland goods becuase of their constant 40% off sales coupled with Google Checkout. The combination of savings is unreal. $125 boots ended up costing me about $70 shipped. They are usually quick to ship, and the greatest thing about their online shopping experience is if something doesn't fit or I need an exchange, I can go to the local Timberland store and do it. Most retailers are totally seperate for B&M and Online and you can't exchange between one or the other. My only beef would have been the Google Checkout procedure. It seems Google Checkout defaults to 2nd day shipping. It seems that contacting customer service just doesn't work well. I'm not sure if it's Timberland or Google Checkout, but I wrote Customer Service through Google checout requesting my shipping be downgraded to standard, but they never answered and shipped my items out 2nd day doubling the shipping charge. Besides that, everything has been good with Timberland.

"Timberland is a bit pricey, but you do get what you pay for. I purchased shoes on their once a year 40% off sale, which was a deal. They shipped quickly and include pre-paid postage for returns if you aren't near a store."
"I made my ordered on December 5th. Order confirmation e-mails came quickly. The shipping information didn't come until the 9th. I called their customer service on the 8th. They told me they have a huge load of orders to fulfill. Also that would i not get my order until next week. However, the shipping confirmation e-mail did come on the 9th, and I got my order on the 10th. The packaging was nothing more than a box with the hats inside. The hats had no plastic wrapping or anything. Now if it had rained that day, I'd be mad. Their customer service is 24 hours, which is good."
