"Tradesy’s “smart technology” authentication process is complete GARBAGE. I spent over $1000 on a “YSL” that is so clearly a fake. The pictures posted by the seller conveniently hide the obvious fake stitching and Tradesy did nothing. Of course when I filed a claim, Tradesy required ME to send them pictures of every part of the bag. A single actual picture of the stitching is evident of how fake this bag is. Yet, their “smart technology” couldn’t detect that? You don’t even need to feel this bag to know it’s fake. YOU CAN TELL BY A REAL PICTURE. And then Tradesy only gives you 4 days after you receive it to make a claim. If you ask me, their 99.7% accuracy rating is mostly based on people not following up in time. Their policy is WACK and totally NOT DESIGNED FOR THE CUSTOMER. I took my item to an authorized retailer right away just to make sure and unsurprisingly my bag is FAKE! Anything you buy from this website, authenticate it yourself and do it quickly because Tradesy is GARBAGE. They’re nothing but greedy middle men content with passing GARBAGE along while they “claim” to be so customer-facing. Better yet, don’t buy anything from them."
"Place an order to supposedly be delivered FEB 1.Never received after going back & forth and supposed investigations & me signing an affidavit for an item that they claim will require a signature. I'ts now almost a month later & I'm being told no refund, file a police report if I believe it may have been stolen. SERIOUSLY A MONTH LATER. They have my $ & I have nothing. Will file a dispute with my credit card company.DON'T BUY FROM HERE THE SIGNATURE REQUIRED POSTED ON THEIR WEBSITE IS A JOKE"
"Beware! My first buy, my worst buy! Was NOT sent what I ordered! Website does not let you post bad reviews! "
"Sell from other platform! They were downhill and allow returns for no reason, no to mention the big fees they charging and the payments take forever to your acc! There are more buyers just abused the policy and returned my items for no reason after weeks of purchase! And some are def. show sign of use after returning back to me. Stay away from this website! "
"Tradesy is an awful website.
I used to love selling on there until recently I sold something, Contacted them about my funds. They than told me they updated their return policy to allow buyers to return WHATEVER they like for a refund no matter what their reasoning is due to COVID-19..But guess who gets screwed over in the midst of it? The seller! They also changed policy without notifying anyone which is against the law. If you are looking to sell your high end items - Stick to eBay, or even Poshmark they always try their best to resolve an issue UNLIKE Tradesy. Its what they want! They changed their policy to what's beneficial to THEM. not to both parties. They also said their warehouse is closed BUT SOMEHOW is open to process the returns back to sellers. A BIG LOL. They are lazy, inconsiderate and RUDE."
"Tradesy changed its return policy, without disclosing it to the customers, which now requires that all returns must be send back to sellers, even thou the sellers represented items correctly and followed sellers policy. Normally Tradesy would be obligated to hold returned inventory. When I reached out to Tradesy, they said that “due to a pandemic we are not taking any returns”. Tradesy warehouse is operating as every return is shipped to the warehouse, inspected by Tradesy staff, and than returned to a seller. So to say that because of the pandemic we are not taking returns is ridiculous. Not taking inventory is just more profitable for Tradesy and they are capitalizing given distressed market environment.
Tradesy returns on average take about 8 weeks, and chances are that you will not receive your item back (there is a huge error rate in shipping labels), and if you do get your item back most the time it will be in terrible condition— Tradesy has relaxed rules for buyers in terms of returns and buyers can return items after 10+ post delivery. I am still waiting for two items to be returned to me since February.
As an ex seller I would not recommend Tradesy."
"I will never purchase anything from tradesy again.
Purchased handbag from Coco-luxury weeks go by with no shipment and we I requested shipment date she would not give one. She was politely arrogant. Stating because of corona virus she couldn't give date..yet I have received shipments from multiple companies no problem.
When I complained to Tradesy they canceled order stating bag was not up to standards. Left me hanging for weeks. No apology nothing."
"Item sold was returned without reason. They don’t give a full or minimal explanation why item is eligible for a return. Their payout turnaround is ridiculously long. It takes anywhere from 4-8 weeks to get paid. I have sold with them for years and it’s getting worse and worse. I sell on multiple reselling platforms and this is by far the worst. Slow payouts. No explanations for returns. High selling fees. Plus they charge you a fee when you transfer funds for direct deposit. Your return after fees is not worth it. Use other sites like Poshmark or Mercari. They do not do due diligence in providing a seller friendly platform. Stay away. Not worth the wait and the experience. "
"Terrible service! Very DISAPPOINTED!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND! Tradesy suspended my seller’s account after I changed my account’s address to Brooklyn. This looks like DISCRIMINATION to me. They did not provide me with any explanation. Trust team (Brandon H.) ignores my messages and does not reply. When you call customer support, they tell they can not help you. When I sent message to Tradesy on FB, I was told that somebody will get in touch with me within 2 days, however, that NEVER HAPPENED. I sell original items and wanted to solve this problem, but instead I’m just being IGNORED."
"They had to many fees. I regret of selling my Louis there because after all the discounts, commission and fees you are getting only 73% of the total earns. And they take a month to give your money. Next time ebay! "
"A very abusive seller after I cancelled my order started to send me my personal information on a very threatening way. Tradessy has not even replied to me. She has all my information and now I'm concerned about my own safety "
"It takes at least 21 days to get paid and the buyer has your item doing god knows what with it while you wait. It’s a 20 percent fee to sell plus another fee to withdraw you money. There are cheaper better places to sell where you also get paid quicker. Look around before selling there. There are better options. "
"They get 25% profit fro you sales. You are forced to mark up your item because they get most of the profit. Waiting time for money is 21 days. They charge 3% on transferring you money to your bank and then count 10 more days. "
"I will never buy anything from Tradesy again! I purchase Chanel 2.55 recently. The bag was in a dust bag and I was only wearing it twice and the lock fell off!! Not to mention that leather on a chain strap looked ripped and worn out. It was not mentioned on sellers descriptions and TRADSEY response was that there is nothing they can do and I should bring a bag to a local shoe repair for fixing. At this point, I don't trust that this bag is original.
JOKE! DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THEM. Lesson learned- there are other co-signment online stores that I've been using that are trustworthy and take care of their customers. "
"WARNING: DON'T SELL ON TRADESY
Tradesy used to be a good platform for sellers, the major reason being that they handled returns (as long as the item was listed accurately). However, a new policy has changed this, and they will return the item to you for any reason, even if the item was listed accurately. The reason that they will cite is that the item was sold "above fair market value," which they don't even specify. Clearly this is a way for Tradesy to avoid reselling the item and dealing with inventory.
Unless you want to waste your time shipping items that will only be refunded when buyers return them, do not sell on Tradesy
---------------------------------------------
Dear Tradesy,
As a seller, I am tremendously disappointed to hear that you are returning my item---the item was listed accurately and the buyer chose to purchase the item, which should be adequate demonstration of "fair market value." You did not even state what you consider "fair market value" for the item, which points to a complete lack of transparency regarding your return policy for sellers.
I have been a seller on Tradesy for the past several years. The main reason that I was a seller on Tradesy was because of your prior return policy for sellers of accepting returns, as long as the item was accurately listed. Clearly this is no longer the case and Tradesy has decided not to handle any seller returns, using the "fair market value" reason as an excuse.
I will be pulling all of my listings off Tradesy and will not sell or buy on your website anymore. "
