"Ordered a Nikon prime lens from TriState and it arrived on-time and in perfect condition. The only less than perfect part was that free shipping goes through DHL and USPS. My tracking number didn't work on DHL's site and I didn't know what day it was projected to arrive until the package arrived at my local post office. It's really a non-issue, so I still give them 5 stars!"

"I ordered a Nikon D7200 body & received it in a box for a kit consisting of the body + 18-140mm lens. Of course there was no lens in the box since I only ordered the body. But this seemed very odd: to ship a DSLR body in a body-lens kit box. There was also no Nikon USA warranty card in the kit box. After calling Tristate about it, I was told the body was a grey market product & that I would get a Tristate warranty instead.

I didn't want a grey market part, so I sent the body back & was promised a full refund. No refund occurred after 2 weeks & multiple calls. Each time I called they would say the credit will show up in my account in 48 hrs but it never happened. So finally I call my credit card company to dispute the charge & got my refund. i had to pay the shipping & insurance ($30) back to Tristate, which I would not have spent had I known it was a grey market body.

"The description says that a user manual is included with the camera. It's really just a "quick-start" guide. Many pages long, but dozens of languages. There's only 3-4 pages in each language. I wrote to Tri-State and explained this. They sent me the exact same multi-language quick-start guide. The only way to get the full 170-page manual is to print it out from the internet, which would be a pretty bulky thing to have. I bought from this company because they claimed to have a user manual and other sites did not. I would have purchased cheaper at another site if I'd known the paper manual wasn't included."

"Knowing that there are several sites out there that are shady, I was a little hesitant to buy from TriState when I saw they had one of the lowest advertised prices for the Canon d5 Mark iv, but since they had been well reviewed, I took a chance and am not disappointed. I also chose to pay via PayPal, just so that I wouldn't have to share my credit card number if anything went wrong.

But the experience I had was great. Like many others, I received a call to confirm my order before it shipped and was upsold an extended warranty, which I actually appreciate for an expensive piece of equipment. The camera arrived brand new in box, as expected.

I had to call TriState to obtain tracking information.
