Same lens at a discounted price, just have to go about warranty service differently if have an issue while under warranty. Same exact factory making the same exact lenses. This purchase was a Sony 24-70 2.8 G-Master lens. I called TriState to ensure it was in stock and had a 1 year warranty. The rep assured me it was in stock and so I place my order on-line and paid for overnight shipping which came to my surprise the next day as I had place the order fairly late in the afternoon.
The lens is exactly what I expected. Brand new with a warranty card and it has worked flawlessly as expected. I will not hesitate to buy from TriState for my next lens purchase. For those of you unsure about gray market items, you are truly missing out. It is a great way to save money and get the exact same manufacturers item and warranty without having to pay the extra money for a USA warranty.
So many people are fooled by this "Not an authorized dealer" nonsense. And by the way after your product is out of warranty Sony will allow you to ship the lenses to them for any needed service or repair. You just have to pay for the services and call the correct service center number to set it up to do so."
