"I ordered two packs of asparagus crowns. I knew they would be mailed at a later date, but I didn’t think it would be mid-May. Emailed after three months of waiting and all of a sudden it shipped with no explanation or apology. When they arrived the roots and crowns were all moldy. "
"I have placed an order for seed potatoes in 12/2020, they have already took the money for the order and I have waited for the seed potatoes to ship sometimes in April, but I haven’t received anything from this company
I started calling their phone number, nobody answers the phone, sent emails to their so called business no response...
I reached out to my bank and asked to dispute the charges for this “ scam of a business”
I have placed hundreds of orders with other companies, this was the first time and last time I will place an order with this company ..
I dont even know what makes this business call themselves a business, it is so poorly run and I am surprised their web site is still up...
If I could give them zero stars I would have...
I found another company and placed the same order even though it is getting late in the season, my order with that company was shipped within 48 hours !!
Avoid at all costs, avoid all the aggravation dealing with such company
Never again ! "
"Dear Urban Farmer seeds,
My first purchase from you was in 2013. I've made at least 4 large purchases from your company including one recently. However, my last purchase had a 'back ordered' written on a part of the package which I should have received. I sent in 2 nice phone calls and 2 nice emails inquiring on a date when the seeds would have been available. No response either time. An answer like "Next planting season" would have been more than acceptable to me. However with the level of your non-existent customer service, I'm taking my business elsewhere."
"Ordered Irish Cobbler Potatoes because my son couldn’t find them in GA. Arrived in perfect condition. Customer service actually answered my questions. Thank you!"
"Well if you like shipping after a week plus of placing your order and you appreciate crickets after several phone calls and emails and most of your items missing once you finally receive your order, this is the company for you!
Shipping they say 1-2 days one order took 7 days for them to ship the other took 10 days with no updates.
Missing most of my purchased items.
They say contact us if there’s any issues or questions, if they don’t respond what’s the point?
"
"Shipping was right on time and products were great."
"I bought their Georgia wildflower seeds mix. They claim in multiple places that these are Georgia native species. They are NOT! Half the species they listed for this blend are non-native species introduced from Europe and south America! FALSE ADVERTISING "
"Finally got my seed potatoes and strawberry roots but they look pretty bad - sprouts are all dried up. This is in stark contrast to seed potatoes and strawberry roots I purchased else where. And like other reviewers, they rarely answer your e- or v-mails and ship dates are way past promised. Will not buy from again. Terrible."
"I have sent information to customer service twice without a response regarding the delivery ... actually the lack of delivery. These plants were shipped on 4/13 and delivered on 4/23."
"Ordered live seeds (potatoes) over a month ago keep getting the run around. And now? No response. Baker creek seeds is way better we ordered 2 weeks later and got our live seeds in a week! This company needs to be shut down!
"
"Made a $80 + order only received $15 worth with note rest would be shipped at later date ,2months latter nothing ,,emailed text phoned with no response from this co.pany ,,,so buyer be ware you may never get what you order or o ly partial and they keep all your money"
"I certainly wouldn’t go through this store, if you are a serious gardener who is on a strict planting schedule. It has been nearly a month and we still haven’t received our order of seed potatoes, on which we spent over $100. The USPS tracking information indicates that the postal office is still waiting to receive the package in order to ship it. Customer service isn’t answering the phone and the phone messaging system is full; so it is not allowing anyone to leave messages regarding the status of their orders. Although customer service won’t pick up the phone, it did leave a rather lengthy recording filled with excuses over how busy they are due to the surge in orders. Hence, it appears that the store is overwhelmed and cannot meet demands. Because it is planting time, we had little choice but to get our needs met elsewhere and we ended up settling on some generic, local varieties, which is a bit disappointing. We had to send the customer service an email message to cancel our order, but—if they are too busy to answer to their phone or free up some space on their messaging system—it is likely they won’t answer our email in a timely fashion either. Anyway, I am going to be pretty angry if I am billed and sent seed potatoes that I no longer need and that will be too late to plant. "
"Sweet potato slips were easy to order & they arrived on schedule in good condition. I will plant them tomorrow."
"I received a box full of mixed seeds. Every bag had torn open. I called, and emailed, and they made it right!"
"I ordered Asparagus the first part of February and receipt told me it would arrive April 5. April 12 and no roots. They do not answer their phone. Their message says their new system did not transfer customer orders but its O.K. they still have them. What does that mean? Don't order from this company. You'll be sorry. No customer service to address your concerns. I'd order elsewhere but I hate to spend another $60 for 50 roots."
