"I was trying to decide between two totally different cameras. Zak, the store manager, had told me I would be happier with the lesser expensive of the two, but I should rethink my lens choice. At first, I thought he was just trying to sell me a more expensive lens. But then he suggested I rent each of the two lenses I was considering, try them for a day, and then decide. Since my old camera worked, I thought it was a reasonable suggestion. The folks in the Rental department were helpful in explaining the difference between the two, and Harry seemed really interested in understanding what I wanted to do with them, also recommending that I listen to Zak's advice.
Still not convinced, I did rent both and shot my daughter's recital. Wouldn't you know I hated the photos I got from the lens I would've picked. The focus was poor and there was a lot of added noise in the images.
Unique Photo gave me half of my rental fee back to purchase the lens. I also traded in my old camera, so the whole thing cost me less than I originally thought. Thank you, Unique Photo!"
