"This is the 4th time in twice as many years that I've had the pleasure of consulting with Velocity Micro to satisfy the computer needs for myself, my friends, my family and my business colleagues. They're on point every time when they suggest a "tweak" here or there to improve a machine I'm configuring or to explain ways that I can save resources by utilizing the various components they install. If they keep doing what they do best, I'll keep coming back and so will the people I've referred.
I Can't say enough about the experience.

"Eight years ago, I ordered a Z55 from Velocity Micro. It proved to be an excellent system that performed well. Three years after I received it, one of the RAM DIMMs developed a fault, but it was covered under warranty and replaced without charge. Aside from a video card upgrade four years in, and the addition of a SATA SSD, no further tweaks were necessary.

I ordered a Raptor Signature Edition from Velocity Micro at the beginning of this year. It arrived in excellent packaging, with all materials, extra cables, driver CDs, etc. As promised, there was zero bloatware on the Windows installation and the build quality was excellent, with clean cabling layout and clear airflow. The custom case was easy to open and add extra hardware, while also having a restrained, professional look. The CPU and graphics were custom-overclocked and offered excellent performance.

However, a week after I received it, the video signal began to fail. I worked with VM customer service - polite and competent each time - and we determined that there was a hardware issue. I shipped it back to VM - shipping covered by them - but UPS damaged it in transit. (It was obviously dropped, with many dents on the case.)

VM diagnosed the problem as a faulty video card and replaced it, while also replacing the damaged case, then shipped it back to me at no extra charge. The system has been running solidly for over a month now with no issues, delivering the promised performance. I will definitely work with Velocity Micro when I next need to upgrade my system - hopefully in another eight years."

However, it sometimes show brief periods of unresponsiveness to the mouse which may or may not be due to the websites visited. "Just bought a new pc from them. They helped me pick the base model, then customize the components and accessories to exactly what I wanted and within my budget. I called and emailed them several times to help me get everything up and running. They only use top of the line components and when you call for support they actually answer the phone and it has always been an American who speaks English you can understand.

This was the second computer I have bought from them. The last one I got in 2011 and there is still nothing wrong with it. Only that I would have needed to replace some components in it to upgrade to Windows 10 and I didn’t want to do that and end up with a hybrid computer of old and new components."

"Couldn't find a prebuilt computer to meet my needs so decided to try Velocity Micro. Build process was easy and I got what I wanted at a competitive price. Small miscommunication with tech support resulted in a monitor cable adapter having to be ordered twice and a weeks delay in getting the computer working. Computer has only been operational a couple of months but so far works as advertised. I would recommend Velocity Micro. "

"product arrived a day ahead of schedule and configured as requested. machine is fast compared to the other laptop I use. Also it is not as heavy as I thought it might be. Velocity responded to all of my questions and helped me select the build I needed. Based on their timely responses I would say they have very good customer service.

one thing I would caution anyone loading the latest Microsoft products onto their new machines need to be aware Microsoft is moving all of their programs to the cloud and in some cases a subscription format. It is becoming harder to keep files & programs only on your computer and out of the cloud storage and finding the ways to over-ride these settings is more difficult to locate as Microsoft seems to like to make controls more difficult by hiding them...in my opinion not as user friendly for old school users...maybe more useful & cool for new users.

"Computer would restart on it's own, even while I was working on it, sometimes less than 10 minutes would go by before restarting, other times a couple of hours. Started on Day 1 and even Hour 1. Can't say it was software that I added because it did it before I got into doing that. Did work with support trying to get it to work with no luck and with a lot of wasted time during my busy season. They did offer to do repairs on it but what I am going to do without a computer in the meantime. I run several small businesses and depend upon my computer every do so being without a computer for an unknown length of time wasn't acceptable for me. Have returned the computer and expect a full refund as it wasn't returned because that I didn't like the computer, it was returned because it was faulty. If I do get charged a restock fee for something that was faulty when I got it, then they might be getting a bill from me for all the time I spent on my own and with support trying to fix it."

"I have had many custom computers over the years, spending thousands of dollars and replacing every few years in disappointment. When looking for a new company that I haven't used before, for the first time, I saw a category specifically targeting architecture and 3D rendering. After a number of online chats and tweaking the options offered, I soon received the best computer I ever had thus far. It exceeds my expectations with quality and product (out of the box brands have nothing) and the service (in home) was the deciding factor on taking a chance I do not regret.
I didn't buy this brand based on price (though in the target range of their competition) but needed quality and service which this offers. No regrets. The only thing I will end with is that it is a relief to speak to tech support on the other end and understand what is being said."
