"My son purchased a custom desktop from Velocity Micro for me a few years ago. It has been operating flawlessly since, but recently started crashing and struggling to reboot. I took it to a highly rated local shop and after having it for over a week, the technician advised me that both the motherboard and processor were bad and needed to be replaced, at a cost of over $700. The shop technician made this diagnosis by excluding other problems, including by "confirming" that the power supply, video card, etc. were good.
I was not convinced, so I called Velocity Micro. After talking with their technician (Anthony) for a few minutes, I realized that calling them should have been my first move. The Velocity Micro technician pulled up the records on my computer and quickly diagnosed the likely problem based on the symptoms I described and his knowledge of the components in my particular system. He advised me that he was relatively certain that the power supply was the actual culprit, that degraded thermal compound was a contributing factor, and that the processor was probably OK. He offered options for purchasing replacement parts from Velocity Micro, and gave me the specs for a replacement motherboard, should one be needed.
I conveyed this information to the shop and ten ADDITIONAL days later, the shop technician finally determined that the Velocity Micro technician was indeed right, and that the shop's diagnosis had been wrong. My computer will now be up and running for just over $300, instead of $700, with replacement parts purchased from Velocity Micro (with additional help from Tamer). I very rarely write reviews, but Velocity Micro's technical support was simply superb, and was in fact some of the best customer service I have received from any company, ever. I can't recommend them highly enough.

"This was an upgrade that I've been waiting for for about 3 years. I was thinking about originally just an upgrade but I sure am glad that I bought a brand new system from Velocity Micro. This system is amazing very fast, and I'm loving windows 10 and I've had no problems whatsoever. The purchase process was amazing, I'm here in Hawaii and the system took a little longer than I thought to get here but I understand we deal with shipping issues all the time. It took about 8 days to get here. I ordered Z55 Micro ATX case whth a Pentium 7 that is liquid cooled, I couldn't be happier because of our warmer weather I need better cooling the system. The System is very quiet, a lot more quiet then my previuos Velocity Micro. Keep up the good work guys!!"

"I customized a gaming rig, and it arrived on the day they estimated. The top USB ports didn't work, but the support rep was able to walk me through troubleshooting the problem and re-attaching the cable that had come loose in shipping. I was pleasantly surprised by his expertise and ability to give clear directions.
My bigger problem was the top fan. It worked for about a day and a half and then gave up the ghost. The support rep walked me through troubleshooting steps and determined that the fan was faulty and they would send another one. I called late in the day on Monday, so I didn't expect a new fan to be shipped that day, but I was very disappointed that they didn't ship the fan until Thursday. It was also shipped by ground shipping with an estimated delivery date of the next Thursday. This means that I have to wait about a week and half from the day of my initial call to get my replacement fan. I don't consider this good customer service when the part failed almost immediately out of the box. I was told I would receive an email with a tracking number for the fan, but I didn't get one until I contacted them again asking for the tracking number. It makes me wonder if perhaps my warranty request got lost until I reminded them that they needed to do something about it. This is not the type of service I expect when spending over $2000 for a computer."
"Well I purchased Velocity Micro. The very bad mistake was that I spoke to a SALESMAN.
I told him what my needs are but all he thought was how much money he would make.
Result is I got a computer with a small drive C the drive D is ok. I am looking at the C drive and already ate the half, you see it is used for windows 10.
The unit is fantastic from the point of hardware, no complains there.
Something else your internet connection sucks. I could not see when the pc was shipping,nothing.
Again I spoke to the salesman and he said that it was fine! Unfortunately I am working with computers 20 years, and I know when the internet is fine!"

"Velocity Micro Inc. Showed their expertise in building a MX50 laptop for me, packing it to avoid damage in shipping and delivering the laptop to me within 5 days.
I was surprised that no signature was required, the package was left outside my front door. I told Velocity of this and they confirmed that was normal practice, unless a customer asked that deliver include a signature request. This I did not do, so the problem was me.
I ordered two extras, an AC adapter and an Optical mouse, they were sent separately.
I would recommend the company to other potentially purchasers and will buy from them in the future.
