"I purchased a Velocity Micro, Cruz tablet for my college grand-daughter and we have both been happy with it until the AC Adapter crashed and we needed to order a new one. We called Velocity Micro and they were quite rude. I then went online and ordered an adapter from the Velocity Micro website. I paid $18.99 for it and then added an extra charge for ONE DAY shipping ($48.00).
I entered two addresses... mine for billing, and my grand-daughter's in Santa Cruz, CA for delivery. I confirmed the order.

Today, six days after I ordered it, the adapter arrived at my house in Chula Vista, CA, NOT my grand-daughter's residence! I am now going to ship her the adapter tomorrow morning, overnight at a cost of $60.00. NEVER, NEVER USE VELOCITY MICRO. I know I will never do so again.

"Purchased my computer from them in October of 2006. They still astound me with their knowledge and service. Ellen Reardon was there when I purchased it and she is still assisting me with upgrades and add-ons.
When I hear the horror stories of some of the other more well known computer companies (you know who I mean), I just have to smile.
My computer is still as good as the day I purchased it and I can't imagine anyone buying a computer from any other company.
I have nothing but accolades for Ellen and VM.

"This review for Velocity Micro is something I almost never do unless it is something really outstanding and that is the case here. Quality--service, product, price is something you do not see very often within the same company, maybe one or two but almost never three.
I'm a very happy customer! Velocity is a great company,
I now use Velocity as my new top standard to measure all other companies I do business with. So far, no one even comes close to them in regards to quality, value, responsiveness, customer support and overall buying experience.

"I've had my new Velocity Micro Edge Z40 for two months so far and this thing is awesome! My Dell laptop of 4 years finally died and I was in desperate need of a computer -- fast!

Velocity Micro listened to what I wanted out of my computer (programs I needed it to run, games I play, etc) and walked me through, part by part, what I'd need. They were incredibly knowledgeable and patient with me despite my incredible lack of computer knowledge and helped me to put together a system that is by far the best computer I've ever owned.

And it's so nice looking! The window on the side allows me to truly appreciate the time and effort they put in to the presentation of their product. Not a wire out of place! Great job, guys! I love showing it off! :)

Iggy from VM even helped me pick out a monitor, even though it wasn't one of theirs. He spent time going over the pros and cons of various monitors on Newegg and helped me eventually find the perfect monitor for me! And let me just say -- the monitor he picked out and the PC they built work together like a dream. I couldn't be happier!

If I ever need anything else computer-wise... I'm DEFINITELY going back to VM! Thanks so much guys!

"My Velocity Micro system was used to review games at Ars Technica, and when I began working for Penny Arcade I liked it so much I purchased it outright. The system has been stable, fast, and easy to use. I couldn't ask for a better rig for high-level PC gaming. "

"I have had blue screen problems since owning a Holiday Addition PC for just over a year now.Warrenty is now up...Have had two video cards installed,one vidio card was sent to me and still had problems..Sent PC back and they installed another one..After receiving my PC back from them, had damaged blue ray drive,so they sent a tech out to home for replacement...After many many phone calls to V.M.,and reloading windows 7 three times and drivers..to this day still blue screens at start up and shut down during usage....I thought they did extensive testing with there products before they are sent to customers..It is not the case when it came to them selling me a PC..I asked to talk with a supervisor and they would not.They got my money.."

As you well know, blue screens may be either software or hardware related. You spoke with a Velocity Micro technician earlier today, completed a diagnostic utility, and the two of you have decided to proceed with a warranty depot repair. The errors were the same as those reported last Fall and immediately followed a clean install of the operating system and the latest drivers. We thank you for the opportunity to complete more thorough diagnostics and any necessary repairs.

Because this was a repeat of a problem reported last Fall, Velocity Micro provided the customer with a shipping label for the depot repair. Tracking information shows that VM will receive the computer at the beginning of next week.

02/29/12 Velocity Micro completed warranty repair (including a replacement hard drive and and upgrade CPU heatsink and fan.) The comptuer is shipping home to the customer today.”

"I just wanted to share the great experiences I've had with Velocity Micro. I purchased a "Holiday Edition" PC just over a year ago. I have had excellent luck with it thus far. The PC quality is very good and the build was neat and tidy. I've reached out to their "Service/Support" recently. I was treated with profesionalism and courtesy. The staff member(Wayne) put me at ease with my hardware issue and had my PC up and running before my coffee got cold. The PC's are quality and the service excellent. Looking forward to my update in a year or so."

"I ordered a high-end PC and received it just before Christmas. Initially I experienced several problems--blue screens, non-functioning drives, slow response times, etc. I spent a great deal of time on the phone with tech support and doing my own troubleshooting. Eventually, I took the system back for expert work on-site at Velocity Micro. It turned out that a bad keyboard driver is what caused corruption of many other things with my PC. So I do not recommend the Razer Lycosa keyboard... Customer support thru the process was excellent, and I received detailed, personal support. It is the "extra mile" (such as follow-up phone calls and emails) by folks like "Iggy" that changed my initial feelings of regret into satisfaction. Bottom line is that when you buy state-of-the-art, there can sometimes be bumps in the road. The difference-maker is whether or not you get good customer support. Velocity Micro has been stellar on customer support. I am a happy customer and I will not hesitate to upgrade my current system or buy a new one in a few years from Velocity Micro."

"What a delightful experience I have had and continue to have with Velocity Mirco; from sales (Jay) to support (Ellen & James)Velocity Micro ha made sure that my experience was positive...and it has been! I ordered my machine in early Jan12 and it was delivered on time in a condition one would expect, perfect. Upon delivery there was an issue with the Ceton CableCard system. After spending some time with Ellen in Support we were able to assertain that the issue was not with Velocity Mirco or Ceton, but rather an issue with driver interaction with Norton. I am very pleased with my device and even more so with folks at Velocity Micro. "

We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of your second tablet for RMA replacement. You have 40 days left in your 90-day warranty of your refurbished tablet. Please do not wait too long to send it in to us!

On your first RMA with your first tablet, we paid for inbound shipping even though you were not entitled to it. I am sorry, but we cannot do the same on the second tablet. I know that you spoke with a technician that mentioned a return label (no idea who Brian is), but no promise was made to you other than to abide by our warranty, which we strive to do to our mutual benefit.

Will you please send in your tablet ASAP so that we can replace it for you?

"This is my second desktop PC I purchased from Velocity Micro. The reason I ordered a second one from them is because they build very reliable units. Also, the sales staff is very knowledgeable with all the parts when it comes to customizing orders. I want my units to be a bit special than what’s being offered on the standard menu and so this is very helpful.
My first one being almost four years old and I am yet to have had a single problem with it. Whenever I have any questions I call Micro Velocity’s help desk and staff, they have been very kind and helpful, even though my warranty has been a long expired.
Now, since there is new Intel i5 is on the market and I wanted to try it out with the newer Windows 7 (My old one uses Vista), I have decided to give my old one to my son and buy myself a new machine.
I received my new PC about a week ago and it works great, thanks to the Senior Development Engineer, Mr. I.C. who helped me put this unit together and get the most out of my money.
I have owned many brands (About 10 computers) of other U.S. and Asian big brand PCs but sadly, those never lasted or lost their performance after two years or so. Those may be designed well, however the manufacturing process just doesn’t compare to that of Velocity Micro’s hand crafted units.
