"My experience with Velocity Micro was pleasant from beginning to end. Selecting and upgrading my system of choice was very easy. The process was well laid out. When I received my PC it was well packaged and all the contents were nice and organized. Last but not least, my system runs like a dream! "
"This VM computer is absolutely beautiful, and runs current graphic intense games flawlessly. The case is quiet, and sleek. Aside from a minor installation miscommunication (resolved), a non working game key # (resolved), and a delay in production/shipping, I am very pleased with the end product. This is my first high end gaming rig, and I couldn't be happier with the performance of Velocity Micro! Thanks everyone at VM."
"Computer took about a week longer than estimated to arrive at my home. Otherwise service was fine. Packing was excellent. Will send update once I get it up and running."
"It was easy to use the website. When I did some research about the reputation of Velocity Micro, I found that they consistently ranked in the top five of reviews I read. The particular computer I ordered consistently ranked in top two or three. The computer shipped exactly when they said it would and it arrived in perfect working order with good instructions. I had it up and running within a half an hour."
"The initial order arrived on time, but the SSD was dead, and even replacing the SSD led to random failures to booting, leading me to suspect a problem with the CPU. I sent the machine back to V-M. They got it fixed up, used extra internal packing to ensure that it would be safe going cross-country, and I got the machine last night. There was one problem with the cabling (a loose power cord) but I was able to fix it myself. Everything works great! The machine is wonderful -- so fast, and so quiet (and this is even with two high-power video cards in it). I really like it! This would have been 5-stars except for the drive/cable issue, plus I would have preferred more status updates during machine assembly and repair."
"The computer looks used right out of the box. There was no 25 digit key for windows 8.1 so I can't even get started. I can't even open a word document. The computer won't recognize any of my flash drives. There were no instructions or tutorial for this computer, only a system startup map that tells me nothing on how to get started. I spent so much money and waited weeks for this thing to arrive and I can't even use it to write a word document for class. How am I supposed to write my doctoral thesis on this thing? I am so frustrated!!!!! I wanted to buy a computer made -or at least assembled-in the USA to support our economy. But what good is it if I can't even use it? "
"These are the best computers money can buy!"
"I have never been more satisfied with a computer or the service and support given to me during the purchasing and shipping process than with Velocity Micro. Both times I called I was assisted by a knowledgeable and friendly staff person who even contacted the engineers on my behalf to inquire as to the progress being made toward the computer's completion. For this, I would like to expressly thank Josh Covington for his fantastic attitude and patience with my calls. Thanks a lot, and I would recommend this company to anyone wishing to buy a powerful, mid-price range PC. Thank you!"
"computer arrived, in great shape and on time and with specs met."
"Straightforward ordering process. Some issues around a specific request to receive my PC on a certain date, but otherwise pretty satsified."
"Josh was incredibly helpful in helping me choose my very first desktop. It runs like a dream and I am very happy with my purchase. Honestly, if they didn't reach out to me with a follow up email, I might not have bought from them. I am really glad that I did though.
The only thing I'm really "meh" about is...even though I was warned that my 120GB hard drive would fill up fast with games, I wish they would have pressed the issue. I've had this computer less than a week and I'm already looking into getting a second hard drive.
"
"it is a good computer but they gave me a wireless adapter doesn't work. Everything else is perfect!"
"Prompt, quick service. Excellent product and packaging. "
"It's such a pleasure to do business with a"Made in America" based company. Thrilled they can understand my "southern drawl" and in return, speak my language!"
"Drop Dead Service...
That is, they tell you to drop-dead. Bought a Velocity Micro Edge Z40 Desktop PC -- I7-4771, 16 GB, 250 SSD this past October. The sales dept. recommended a 2GB AMD Radeon video card. I did not know and was not told that the card was still in Beta. Out of the box the card repeatedly 'failed and recovered' causing the monitor to shut off and the system to crash. When I complained to VM, they had me download an AMD software fix. It didn't work. After six weeks of 'wink outs' and system crashes, I insisted they send a replacement NVIDIA card. They agreed. Five days later and no card, I call again. There was no card because the technical rep I spoke with 'didn't recall' agreeing to send out a card and instead, I'm told my only recourse is to download a 2nd AMD fix. Again, it didn't work. I called again and got the technical supervisor. He agreed to send out a NVIDIA card. I checked back the next day to confirm the shipping address. The supervisor has 'forgotten' to open a 'ticket.' He now opens one. I called again three days later and am told the unit is being shipped, but once again I had to correct the shipping address. Now the story gets ugly. The unit I receive is a 1 GB card. I paid for a 2GB card. I called VM again. The supervisor is out for three days. I called VM's corporate offices. After being placed on hold for 15 minutes, I'm put into voice mail. I leave an email for the 'foounder' telling him I'm having a lousy experience. I called technical support three days later. I'm told the supervisor authorized the 1GB replacement card, it 'shout be' equivalent to the AMD card and he hung up on me. More calls to corporate offices...more trips to voice mail. Now here's the thing: I spent just under $1,800 on my machine. The 1GB replacement card VM sent me retails for about $125. The card I should have received retails for about $185. Here's a company that can do one thing well: Shoot itself in the foot."
“Mike,
We apologize for the confusion and slow replacement. We will be sending you the 2GB card that you need and providing return service for the 1GB card. Thank you for your patience and hope you have a happy holiday!

"One of the worst experiences I've ever had with a company. I'd suggest building your own system rather than buying anything through them. In the long run you'll save yourself time, money, and the frustration of dealing with their "customer service".
I purchased a Raptor™ Z90 from them for $3806 in May 2012. They missed the estimated shipping date by over a week and then when I finally received my unit it didn't work properly. Being a "high end" gaming computer I expected a high performance machine but nearly every game I tried to play on it crashed to the desktop.
After trying to resolve the issue with their customer service but getting nowhere, I updated the motherboard's BIOS following the instructions in the manual THEY provided. Unfortunately that really messed things up and when I contacted them they told me I had to ship the unit back to them and pay for $99 an hour servicing because the BIOS the installed on the unit was different then what the manual THEY shipped me had said.
At this point I had had enough and simply replaced the motherboard myself (And now it works as it should). After paying nearly $4000 for a computer the expectation is for it to work perfectly, not barely function. The final slap in the face was that following instructions they provided somehow voided my warranty. It simply doesn't make sense. I'll never give them another dime of my money."
