Viking Indian Specific Brown Leather Motorcycle Saddlebags

"This past summer I did 3000 miles through 7 eastern European countries. I utilized the Viking Century Sissy Bar Bag and the factory Indian saddle bags. Around town, the factory bags were fine, but with my wife on the back and us on the road for 17 days, it became clear that the factory bags, although nice, simply were not functional. The openings and internal capacity is small and made our travel more difficult. I have since upgraded to the Viking Indian Specific Brown Leather Motorcycle Saddlebags with the help of Scott Adam over at VikingBags.com. The openings allow for loaded duffel bags to be placed inside and removed at our destination much easier and the locking feature improves security. The fit and finish of these bags are fantastic and at 1/3 the price of the factory bags, they are highly recommended. "

Surprisingly good product w/Great Customer Service

"I was so pleased with my saddlebags from Viking Bags that I got three more types of motorcycle bags from them! Their customer service made it easy and the bags are of impressive quality. Zippers are big, thick and easy to operate, even with gloves on. The materials are well made, and have stood up to the weather challenges I put my gear through. They have a plethora of mounting options with D-rings and straps so you have plenty of options to make the bags fit on your bike. I truly am sold on Viking Bags! "

Awful Experience

"Awful Experience
I purchased hard bags from Viking and three things really soured my on the experience:

1. The mounting hardware was incorrect - I spent $50 on the correct mounting bolts, nuts, etc.

2. The paint finish on the bags has degraded quickly after only two weeks.

3. The customer service is awful! They will not honor their warranty if the bags are installed! They told me they will inspect the bags and at their discretion decide if they can be returned. If they deem them good, I would have to pay for return shipping! I sent them pictures and they still don't believe my issue is valid!

I would steer clear of this company. They are dishonest and don't stand behind their products.

No/poor communication

"Ordered bags and quick realase hardware on a Monday, also ordered some other items from a competitor at the same time. Wednesday the competitors product showed up so I checked the status on the items ordered from Viking. It said waiting to be fulfilled. Odd since when I ordered it said everything was available. I used online chat and the person on the other end, without apology simply said they would send it to the warehouse and it would ship out. Friday, I check the status online and it still says waiting fulfillment??? This time I tried calling the help number and after having to call at least 6 times to get a live body I as put on hold. When he came back I was told it would ship out later that day. Btw my cc was charged on Tuesday this is now Friday, do they not ship product that’s payed for until harassed. Checking Monday a whole week later it shows my hardware shipped but the bags still have not. Again, everything showed available when ordered. I can’t understand in today’s tech world how a company would need a week or more just to process an order. Yes, called customer service again and they said I should receive the bags this week. I guess I will see if that actually happens. Still no apologies or any other sort of contact from them even though I have expressed my concerns with the online customer service and the customer service on the phone, 2 contacts each with all of my information given to them so they could easily contact me. Apparently once they get your money they are in rush or have no concern to get your product to you in a timely manner."

I really like the style

"I really like the style. Very sturdy and good quality. A lot of people complain about the side but if you understand dimensions listed.. you get exactly what you pay for. Looks great on my 2013 Sportster. Instructions aren't great but there are a lot of videos, Customer Service is good thanks, Livia"

Feels like part of my bike

"I acquired these Viking Cycle saddlebags along with the Viking Cycle tail bag and a Viking Cycle Skeid leather coat to start the riding season soon. Viking bags makes high quality stuff at reasonable prices.
These saddlebags are really good with sports bikes but they will also work well in cruisers. I have tried them on my Honda CBR650 my dad's 1996 Katana, and my mom's Honda CTX 700. It works for all these models because it is adaptable using the included adjustable straps. These bags have lots of room, can be expanded and have outside pockets. Enough room for days of riding or just to do errands. Very tough and durable material and the right look complete the five- star package! As you can tell, I really loved this product. It is much better than another set of saddlebags that cost me more and were not as strong as these. They are also very easy to install and take off the bike. The photos show how well they look, even with the Viking Cycle tail bags to complete the set! Thanks, Viking Bags Thanks Livia

Scam artists

"This place is a scam outfit. Their reps tell you on the phone that the product will your fit bike. When it doesn't, you have to pay to ship the product back to them AND they take the original shipping off your refund. For a 100.00 order they screwed me for about half of it."
