"I recently ordered a set of Viking saddle bags (order#77670-150503) and followed the instructions to the tee, even viewed on you tube and was thrilled when I got the first bag on. When I got the final bag on which was on the drive belt side I was saying to myself "man what a great deal on these bags and how simple they are to install". Needless to say the excitement was short lived because a soon as I drove down the road with my new bags the acceleration from bike caused the bike to spring downward and the bottom of the bracket caught my chrome drive belt guard. When I heard this I slowed down which in turn brought the bike upward and with the brackets being caught under the guard it pulled the guard up and bent it. I have since readjusted the brackets and all is fine but because Vikings instructions did not warn me that this condition could happen I now have a scratched and bent drive belt guard that I will have to replace thus costing me more money, also will need to order more caps to plug extra holes I had to drill. This is very unsatisfactory business because as a company Viking should have tested all issues that could arise and warn the consumer to watch for these possible issues. I will never buy anything from Viking again because this project turned out to be more of a headache and cost me more than expected."
