"When I placed my order I was not informed that the item was backordered. A week later I called to find out why my order hadn't shipped to be told that it was backordered from the manufacturer and wouldn't ship until the end of July yet my credit card had already been charged. The item shipped a few days earlier than specified in the call but WAM somehow forgot to tell UPS about the Suite number so my item is now in Exception status. I don't think I will buy from them again."
"STAY AWAY!!! This company blatantly lied to me and ripped me off. They shipped a faulty, used product after claiming that it was new, and then refused to admit it. Everything about this experience was the worst I have ever had. Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere!"
"I had been looking for a specific ceiling fan and found it for the lowest price on WAM Home Center. I read a few negative reviews on this site mixed in with many positive ones. Knowing that nothing is perfect, I decided to give WAM a chance to prove themselves worthy of my business. I called customer service to see if the product was in stock and a very courteous gentleman told me it was. I asked him if it was a return or open box item because the price was so low. He assured me it was brand new. I ordered the fan and the next day received an email telling me the fan had shipped and provided a FedEx tracking number. Right on schedule it was delivered in 3 days! It was brand new, in a sealed box, but when I opened the box I saw the light globe was broken. I sent an email to customer service and they immediately answered back and arranged to send me a new light globe. Now that's the way to do customer service! Thanks to WAM I saved $150 over purchasing the exact same fan elsewhere! Thank you WAM Home Center!"
"I do NOT recommend this company and will never order from them again. It's now over a month since I placed my order and I still have not received all products. On two separate occasions customer service representatives told me that all the products ordered had already been shipped when they had not been. They also promise on their website that products ship same day and this is not true. "
"When I ordered items for a Nutone intercom system, there was no indication any of them were on back order. After I have paid, then I got an email saying that the 3 speakers wouldn't be available until April 23, two month later. I called the company and was told that I can have my other items shipped first, but have to pay $15 for shipping the speakers when they become available. I found it unfair, since I didn't do anything to cause this back order, why do I have to wait for the items and pay extra for shipping? So I asked them to cancel the entire order. They did, but charged me a cancellation fee. How does this logic work - I run out the goods, but I won't tell you until you hand me the money, then I charge you if you decide you can not wait and want to buy from someone else?! Be very wary ordering from them!
Update - cancellation fee is refunded. Rating has been changed as a result."
"this was my second order from WAMHOMECENTER.com, they had the lowest price and shipped 3 days after placing the order, I am very happy with them. The first order actually arrived damaged due to poor packing and after sending them pictures, they sent replacements without delay. Problem resolution like that are what set apart good vendors from wannabes."
"I ordered two items and one of them was never processed in the system. The one item that was processed wasn't shipped for 6 days even though it was in stock and another 6 for shipping time. I cancelled the item that wasn't processed since I couldn't wait that long for delivery. "
"WAM Homecenter lied over and over again about the product I ordered, nothing about it being B/O'ed then after purchased I get my credit card charged, and a email saying it would be ready for shipment in 7 days, replied back to Steve saying why wasn't I told this at ordering stage? Then the bad news, over and over again between phone conversations and emails getting conflicting stories about when product would ship. Over the phone, told they(product) are coming in this week, after already waited 2 1/2 weeks, then Steve emails me it will be in next week, then another phone converation, "No, they will be in by end of this week", Then another email saying it will be 3 more weeks on back order, a total of 6 weeks?? Come on, the product is available elsewhere, at several locations, had to cancel, and waiting for my credit card to be credited, which should have never been charged in the first place until my item was ready for shipment...BEWARE, I WILL NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN. SHOP ELSEWHERE ! They take your money $230+ and fill you with lies!
If my credit card doesn't end up being credited with 48 hours, I will report them. "
