No way to reach customer service to get money back

"I was pretty much taken for $181 for a boarding that I booked and my border did not show up or cannot pick up my dogs in time for my event. I was ready to take my dogs to her, but she insisted on picking them up, which should’ve been a red flag for me but she had previously walked my dogs so I trusted her. She could not pick them up that morning as she told me she would or I should say that afternoon and I tried to get away to take them to her but I was already late for my event. She told me to go ahead and cancel so that I could get my money back but then she started her app as if she started the walk or the service. I had no way to cancel and I lost $181 and she never watched my dogs. After trying everything to reach someone at Wag, I looked on my app and I saw $73 credit. I spent $181 and they only gave me $73 credit for no service at all. Do not use them use Rover. Their customer service is much better."

This is a scam for your money!

"The only reason people get on here is because they cannot afford to go to a vet but then when they ask a question they say we're sorry we cannot give any advice we are not a vet but yet when you sign up it says vet consultation I think they're just scamming people out of getting their money because I'm still sitting in the same position I was when I talked to somebody who I thought was a vet consultant this is just a joke cuz I paid the money and I'm still sitting here for the same question and only thing she told me is take him to the vet well duh if we had the money to go to bed we would have done that instead of decent here asking question charging $15 for nothing for them to tell me to go to bed it's a joke it's a scam don't do it"

Horrible experience

"I have been with wags for couple of months.. I was charged fur premium membership stating all the benefits I would get. Every time the walker is different. You can’t have a consistent tone for walk for your fur baby. Sitters pick the job. They may or may not respond to if they are on their way or canceling the appointment. Well the walker is there so that I don’t have move my schedule around, so what’s the point. Recently, today actually, I booked recurring service staring Dec 4. I had 3 matches, I didn’t like the referrals provided so I didn’t pick a walker, the app assigned the walker without my consent. Later I cancelled the appointments.. they charged me 27 $, though their cancellation policy is 24 hrs. I had mire than a week when I cancelled.
On recurring service as well, the charges very, than tip on top of it though I included the tip when set up the payment.
That were is no customer service available. It takes you to a bot who has no relevant answers.
Total scam.
Walking services are for fur babies so we dont have to worry abt everyday coordination. I would not recommend.

SCAM AND POSSIBLE ROBBERY

"Description of Complaint:
I hired a pet sitter through the Wag app. She was supposed to pet sit for three days while I was out of town. Despite the fact that she confirmed and we spoke about my expectations before I left, she failed to show and sent me a text message five hours after she was supposed to arrive cancelling her service. I contacted wag who was unable to find another sitter. As a result I had to race home to care for my fur children. I noticed that the house seemed in disarray and I later noticed that several expensive items were missing but I did not connect it to wag. However, not only did the company not reimburse me the $300 for the pre-paid cancelled service, they are now claiming that one of my three 10 lb dogs bit the no show sitter. The allegation is clearly in response and retaliation to my report against the wag walker. In addition, I now suspect the “sitter” for taking over $15,000 in personal belongings I using a camera, a watch and several LV bags. Of note, I am a long time wag customer. I have had numerous sitters and walkers, all of whom left great reviews for my fur children. Never has any of my dogs shown any aggression to any of the wag employees, or anyone else!

Dissatisfied Non-User

"Reservation was made but cancelled days ahead of appointment. No confirmation of appt nor cancellation was received. Walker arrived without calling first, did not know of cancellation, and left. Wag! charged my VISA acct anyway. Would not use nor recommend them."

"From seeing you have to pay prior to selecting a person.if you decide not to use the app, you have to get customer service to assist and its tricky deleting the app...enough pre-red flags for me that I don't need the extra trouble."

Horrendous customer service

"The most horrendous company of all time. They over charged me 3 times for 1 walk, 2 times for another walk 8 days later and 2 more times for another walk 5 days after that. I called and went over cc info and got no where with 3 different reps. So I informed visa and they refunded me for all those excess charges. Speed ahead 2 weeks later and my account is abruptly canceled. No call. No email. My dog is booked for daily walks and all my reservations were completely canceled.

Their app is awful. They do not punish walkers who no call no show.

Do not use this app!!!

Lost key. Terrible customer service

"My dog walker lost my only spare key. I was on vacation and luckily live in a good neighborhood but my house was left with the door open for two days. I contacted Wag and asked for my money back for those two days and to reimburse me for the lock I had to buy and they said they won’t do it because the dog walker was at fault, and to contact her instead. I didn’t pay her, I paid Wag! They don’t want to take responsibility for their contractors. I’ve never dealt with such an unprofessional company. I’m never using their services again. Look for local dog walkers around your neighborhood instead through Nextdoor app. "

Absolutely Disappointed

"I used wag to book a sitting to watch my dog and two cats while on vacation. When I booked there was no way to add the cats so I put it in the description for the services needed. The booking was confirmed 2 weeks ahead of time. I confirmed of the cats would be an issue, No issue. The last day when I was charged for the four nights of sitting, they charged an extra $192 to feed the cats. They said they called and left a message. They did not. They said they emailed. They did not. They also said that the caregiver reached out to them and complained, I confirmed and have proof that that was also a lie, they reached out to her. If I knew four nights of sitting would have cost me $418.99 I would have immediately reverted back to my other plan. (My next door neighbor who offered) But this was a blindsight at the end when there was nothing I could do. I wish I could steal people’s hard earned money and go to bed with not a care in the world. I’m disgusted."

Do not order the lockbox

"I ordered a lockbox 7 days ago via the app. The purchase was simple. I was taken to a screen saying purchase the box for $29.99. Literally nothing else. I used the Apple Pay option. I didn’t get any type of confirmation of purchase, mention of when to expect the box etc. It just went back to the screen I was on previously. I clicked the lockbox feature again and still. Nothing saying my lockbox has been ordered but now I have the option to purchase a lockbox for $19.99??? I checked my bank and $30 had been deducted by Wag. Still no emails, nothing.

Today (7 days later) I called to see where the box is because I need to use the box next week to return to work. The lady was very rude and snappy. She said that the box has been ordered and it will ship within 7-14 days of ordering. Shipping will be an additional 3-5 days. I said the site did not mention such a long time. I need the box sooner so just cancel. I will go buy a lockbox elsewhere. She says I can’t cancel the box once it’s been ordered and that the link where I purchased said no refunds. No…it only said purchase the box. No other details!

Also, how tf is it a considered a refund if I’ve never received the item and the item is not even being shipped yet? I feel that the lockbox is a scam. I’m hesitant to even trust this company. I will be disputing with my bank and using Rover.

TERRIBLE Terrible customer service

"Terrible terrible customer service. I signed up for Wag thinking this would help us out so much. I signed up for the premium service too. Had a walker come while I was home and she was AMAZING! Finally got the lockbox and it wouldn't open. After spending a hour watching YouTubes and reading how to open tricks, I called customer service and they told me I'd have to order a new one and pay for it. After going back and forth with them they said they would send me another box free of charge. Got it about a week later and still I cannot get it to open with the next codes. Its a simple lock box and I use these often, its not rocket science. I will just go elsewhere since I've already spent about fifty bucks and nothing works. "
