Complete Nightmare- PLEASE READ PRIOR TO BOOKING

"I had booked a weekly walk for my two fur babies with the same walker for about a month and a half. After nearly every walk I received a message from her stating how much she enjoyed keeping my dogs company. I live alone and she was the only one with access to my home. I came home to find my girl not using her back leg at all. I received no message this day from my walker which I found suspicious when normally the first thing a walker would do when a dog is severely injured is contact the owner and let them know what happened. On top of that according to the route I tracked on the app that day she never stepped foot off of my property with my pets. After I got her an appointment with our vet he informed me that she needed a $2,500-$4,000 ACL surgery and she will have problems with her back knee for the rest of her life, she will be 5 in April and is far too young to be dealing with such an issue. Dealing with customer service the first week was fabulous, everyone was helpful, understanding, and professional. However as I was moved up to different departments it became impossible to get ahold of anyone. At one point I was asked if I had a camera to back up what I was insinuating. Is Wag planning on sending out a camera along with their lock boxes? I shouldn’t need a camera to have my dogs safely walked, what ever happened to my girl happened while she was in Wags care. I understand that experiences are based on the individual walker but It has now been well over a month since they last contacted me and in that time I have reached out multiple times. I haven’t even heard if they spoke to my walker about the incident, and for all I know she is still in their employment. I am completely appalled by their overall lack of professionalism moving forward with my case. Ignoring customers who have spent hundreds of dollars with their company and are experiencing major issues should be their top priority. Just one experience, but I suggest better safe than sorry with this company and to keep your babies safe."

Beware

"I've used wag on and off for almost 2 years. I loved the services at first, but after unexpected cancellations 2-3 times I've decided to never use them again. They are unreliable. All communication is via email or text. Once a Walker cancels it takes 3-5 hours to find a replacement if one is even available. There have been times no one could fill in last minute. Please find another reliable service for your fur babies ."

DO NOT HIRE IF You love your dogs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"If I could give zero I would. Hired them for 2 night sitting in our home overnight. They claim they will not leave your pets unattended for more than 2-3 hours! Sitter showed up and left after 20 minutes. Never returned and my poor dogs were left without food,water, or the ability to defecate in their crate for 16hours because of their negligence and incompetence. Had to call police to my home at 4am after giving them 4 hours to locate our sitter or get someone over to our home to care for our dogs. I have filed a report against them and the sitter for animal cruelty and neglect. This company is absolutely disgusting and should be not only out of business but held accountable for their flawed policies and procedures putting innocent animals and families in danger!!!!!! Disgusting DO NOT EVER BOOK THEM if you care for your pets at all. "

don't do this to your pets

"I used to be reliant on Wag! because my dog suffers from epilepsy and needs to be administered medication in the middle of my work day. After several times, they started proving to be unreliable. Walkers would cancel last minute, and customer service was not helpful by replacing them. This obviously caused an issue for me because our dog's health relies on this service.
We had this particular issue of walkers cancelling last minute.. a total of SIX times.. in THREE weeks. Our dog is crated while we are away, so if a seizure was to occur, it is extremely dangerous - however, we couldnt keep him un-crated (ever since he was diagnosed, he began to eat random things and jump on top of tables).
Aside from this huge problem, I tried to give them more chances due to a lack of options.
Now.. we have been having the issue of the walker not even administering his medication though it is clearly stated in the instructions. I have even called customer service to have them place a note on our account and to inform potential walkers that our dog requires special care.
If you care about your animals enough to get a walker, look elsewhere. This service is unreliable, and clearly disorganized. I have given them multiple chances to redeem themselves; however, I can no longer deal with the inconsistencies.. please read all of the negative reviews associated with Wag! .. they are there for a reason, and there has to be better options out there.

Horrendous

"The customer service has no idea what they are doing and their supervisors are even worse. After a week and not being assigned a walker I got a text message saying that the walker will come the following day for a meet and greet to meet myself and my dog. I never got a response to my questions about the walkers name and what time they would arrive at my house. 18 hours later I got a random text asking how they could help me. I told them I want to know the name of the walker and what time they will come to my house to meet my dog and I. I was told I don't have a walker and there is not a meet and greet scheduled, but somebody would walk my dog on Monday (tomorrow). I asked how they would find a walker in 24 hours if they haven't been able to find one within the last week. they just said they would text me when they are assigned. I asked what they do when they can't find anyone to walk my dog and I'm at work depending on her to be walked and they said I would need to figure it out but my dog would be fine missing one walk. My dog is 7 months old and needs a walk during the day, which I am paying for. Customer service lies to customers and potential customers and nobody at the company actually does the work they are hired to do, at least from what I can tell. I would not trust one of their dog walkers to walk my dog after my experience with the company, I would not be trusting of them or confident they would actually show up and walk my dog. Worst company ever! Hire anyone but wag for your dogs!!!"

Horrible place

"I posted a review on this place (Wag) a few months back. Horrible experience with them! If I could give them 0 stars I would. A few months back one of the so call "professional walkers" lost my puppy. I was lucky enough a very nice couple found my pup. The walker stayed with all my puppy stuff. I talked to Reyna (manager) and other staff about getting my stuff back. They offered me free walks and my money back in return I had to delete all the negative reviews I posted about them. They wanted me to sign a contract and then get my money back. obviously I decided not to sign the contract. I feel like people deserve to know how unprofessional and irresponsible these people are. It's been months and never heard from them. I wouldn't recommend Wag to anyone."

Service not performed and snooped around my house

"First of all, the walk was supposed to be for 20 minutes but was only 11. The dog walker then came into my home, went through my kitchen cabinets, walked around my house looking into drawers/closets, etc., used my master bathroom (I know because she left evidence) and otherwise violated my home for the remainder of the walk time. She then left without locking the door. I know all of this because I have a pet cam that videoed the whole thing. When I contacted Wag to report it, they told me that someone would be calling me back at 6:00 PM. Well the call never came and I had to call again this morning. I realize that the company can’t constantly monitor what their contractors are doing, but they certainly didn’t treat a very upset customer well by not immediately escalating the call (which they were suddenly able to do on the second call) and calling back when they said they would. I am still not sure whether this person stole anything. I know that you take a chance when any stranger comes into your home but this company doesn't seem to take enough action. I have to wonder if others may have reported this woman but then didn't bother to follow up so the company allows her to continue violating people's homes."

DO NOT USE-NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

"It is almost impossible to reach a real live customer service person to talk to on this app. My walker cancelled at the last minute, said she called Wag to let them know. Long story short, they never booked anyone to go to my house after she cancelled. When I called them I kept getting "all our operators are busy..." When I finally talked to someone a couple hours later (I left a message they called back) the peson kept repeating the same script to me, "your walk is scheduled for 2:30..." IT WAS 4:00pm! They outsource their customer service to the Philippines and while I'm sure there are competent services over there, this is not one of them. I talked to 6 people over two days, not one of them followed through with what they said they were going to do. They ended up sending someone to my house 3 hours after the scheduled walk, telling me that she was just running late--A LIE-because the new dog walker said they contacted her 5 min. ago to do an emergency walk. She ended up just letting him in the backyard and LEFT THE DOOR UNLOCKED and a bag of **** in my hallway. When I called them again and asked to speak to a supervisor, they were conveniently all in a meeting (something I'm sure was in their script because I asked twice for a supervisor on two different calls 4 hours apart and they were in a meeting then too) I had a walk scheduled for the next day, instead of crediting me for the walk and choosing a new dog walker, THEY CANCELLED the walk altogether. When I called customer service for the 6 time in 2 days, the guy booked two walks on the same day!! Beyond incompetent. No credit was given to my account after promises to compensate me for the issues. DO NOT TRUST THIS SERVICE! You will never get good customer service from them. And reading these reviews, it seems I'm not the only one who thinks so."

They use a non-secure 'lock box', meaning everyone has access to my front door if they have a screwdriver.

"I asked them to remove the box, but they told me that it wasn't their job to remove it (or take any action after vandalized). If my place is broken into, I know exactly who to point the finger at : I have the time, picture, and place : please remove this box & avoid all these issues."

How do I leave a 0 review?

"How do I leave a 0 review? This service has without a doubt gotten worse and worse over the years, AND they're stealing money from you. That's right- becoming a higher priced service than just hiring a dog walker to work for you WHO ACTUALLY HAS EXPERIENCE, and replacing them with someone who doesn't have the experience. I actually applied to be a walker (and got it, easily because I have experience), but they ask you multiple questions that you can google online to complete the assessment. When you go to the open house they have (in a park), they make you sit on the ground with 30 other people who also got approved to walk... These do these orientations multiple times a month which means they are consistently bringing on walkers without actually learning more about the walker. The walker does have to pass a background test, however doesn't have a real interview or place to express their experience. I was not really interviewed but answered a few questions on the phone prior. When I met in person, they added me to the app and I was ready to go.

Back in February, a dog walker was improperly walking my dogs. A leash cannot extend more than few ft. by Los Angeles rules and maybe other areas. My dog walker allowed the dogs to extend as far as they wanted without a lock, to which my Jack Russell jumped on an older woman. BEFORE the walk even happened I reached out to my walker to note that Jack Russells can sometimes be aggressive towards strangers and that my dog was one of them. I strictly told him to walk her on a tight leash right by his side BEFORE this walk even happened.

Later my dog was accused of biting this woman which started a lawsuit, attempt to get me kicked out of my apartment and phone call to animal services, of which costed me a hefty penny to fix.

This was back in FEBRUARY!

I immediately deleted the app, and must say I had been a committed customer for over 4 years when the app first started, and talked directly to Jason who assured me the walk would be taken care of. I submitted all of the legal documents presented to me and ultimately got charged $9 for the walk even when he said it was free. NOW in July am getting charged $25 for the walk that ultimately destroyed my dogs lives. After the app being deleted for such a long time I never expected them to still be ABLE to process my information for something I was informed would be FREE due to the stress and complications I went through. So not only did I get charged $9 for a walk that should have been free, but $25 IN ADDITION!!!!

When I presented this to Wag Finance, they refused to communicate via phone and persisted to communicate through text which all of their staff receive. Originally I was told the charges were from that walk, now I am being told the charges are unrelated, BUT they don't know what for.

STEALING MONEY!!!!! DO NOT LINK YOUR CARD!!!!! BAD COMPANY!!!!

THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE REVIEWED BY THE BBB.

75lb. dog attacks dog walker, WAG! ignores communication efforts...

"I am the mother of a WAG? dog walker. My child was attacked by the dog she had just walked. Subsequent WAG! communication was condescending, and unprofessional. I called to ask about protocol, being concerned for the next walker to enter the home and encounter the same fate. WAG! will not respond to any of my questions or concerns for the next unsuspecting victim.

I have 0% interest in any legal fights, I, as her mother, simply have a few questions that I would like answered. I have been reaching out but have been ignored for 6 days now. I am very upset with how this incident has been dismissed, very disappointing.

I certainly hope this does not happen to any of the dog walkers that work for WAG! My child was happy to get home with her life.

Wag- horrible and Inresponsible

"If I could put zero stars I would. I am extremely disappointed, mad at this place. I left my puppy with one of the so call professional pet sitters and lost my pup. She didn't even know it was missing for hours. She found out when I called her. My puppy was **** with 2 different leashes. She's not use to being **** unless I'm taking her for a walk. An amazing couple found her and called me and we picked her up. The wag team doesn't seem to care much about the incident. I just hope this incident happens to anyone "

Damage Crate and full price for a very short walk

"The first couple of walkers where great! Then I get a crap bomb! In the walker's report, he stated that he CUT THE WALK SHORT (???), that my puppy pooped (do they take the **** with them???) Where the hell did she ****, oh the neighbor just loved that! And oh by the way, he reported that he BROKE THE DOG CRATE but it looked to the walker that it was, " totally fixable," . He also reported that he didn't have the time to attempt to fix it so he just didn't do anything!!! If I had the time would to fix what he broke, would I need WAG, ...no...
So, on to the crap "trust team". They told me that they wouldn't charge me for the short walk (PS I love my ARLO camera system), they did! They gave me a credit, well that means they charged me. I sent them a receipt for a new crate, after a month of no returned phone calls or email, and a call which I requested a manager, and was told no you can only deal with the person that is at present not responding to your calls or emails. They send me a contract to sign with a section that says I will not talk or write about the amount of crap they have put me through. So no refund for damaged property or a cut short walk!!

Worse dog service ever! IF YOU LOVE YOUR PET DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!

"Like the other comments - the first few walks were fine. Someone was always home thou. I have NO idea wtf happened but last week was a nightmare. I signed up for 2 walks for the week - they sent me 2 walkers the same day. Charged me $29 which I am disputing with the bank. The stupid walker left the dog gate open and did not close it (this blocks the dogs from roaming the house). Worthless! Good luck trying to contact them. I have tried for 3 days now - they just send their stupid emails back saying "do not reply blah blah" then give a number to text or call and they bounce back as well.

PEOPLE DO YOUR HOMEWORK. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!
