"Sent in my father's 1960 era Baylor watch for service. Quote for a complete service and crystal replacement was $493.00. I have only worn the watch for approximately 60 hours and it stopped working. Local watch repair shop opened it up.
Screw holding down the manual wind gear came off and gear plus screw free floating in the case. In addition, the watch is missing the two case screws which hold the movement down to the case and the crown stem is rusted. The didn't even replace the spring bars, they left the old rusted ones in place.
I complained and the company replied "watch is out of warranty, not our problem". They should have made sure the screw was tightened. They should have put new case screws in. They should have replaced the crown stem and crown. They should have put new spring bars in.
Do not send your watch to these crooks. Go local, find someone honest who you can trust."
"Making the mistake of believing a well-made website and, worst, a nice FB page, I made the error of sending my Zenith El Primero to have it adjusted as it was losing time dramatically. I knew that both arms (minutes/hours) were loose on their shaft and that the repairs had to be concentrated on this.
After receiving an estimate for $1394.50 I tried to discuss the items in details as, as said, only the parallelism of the hands had to be adjusted, watch having been gone thru service less than a year ago… no need to work on the self-winding mechanism or “cleaning the old oil”. Tired of the back and forth emails discussion with people just wanting to be right I gave up and paid the requested sum. The “we know everything” attitude was hard to deal with but I guess it is the millennial arrogance these days.
100 days after I received the watch and immediately notice that the date name was misaligned in its window and one day later had not changed.
Watch Repairs USA offered a warranty return which I will not do: testing the watch for 24h would have shown the problem (not existing prior!) and professional people should not have sent it back in this non-functioning mode; my, little, trust in this company is now gone.
I requested a 50% reimbursement which, of course, was denied so I will have now to take this matter to the Small Claims Court for the full amount + legal expenses.

"i got my estimate through email this morning and it is for a complete overhaul of my watch. i never requested a complete overhaul of the watch, i only requested that the crystal be replaced, and a new battery be installed. i indicated all of what i wanted repaired on the form i sent with the watch when i mailed it. i call your customer service number today to talk to a rather rude lady and i tried to explain to her that i only wanted the crystal replaced and a new battery installed. she told me that the company does not do partial repairs. i then told her that is very misleading because if the company does full overhauls of watches only, then what was the purpose of me filling out a form showing the specific services i wanted completed ? she then repeated that the company will only do full repairs on watches and that " its just how it is!!". she also mentioned that to many customers have complained in the past about how they requested specific services from the company, the customer gets their watch back in the mail and it still does not work because the customer did not pay for the right service to get the watch working.
she then told me that my watch was not currently in working condition even though i know for a fact it was working when i put it in the mail despite the crystal being cracked. i then became very angry and told the customer care rep that i wanted my watch shipped back to me. this is not what i want. what i truly want to happen is i only want the watch shipped back to me if the company is unable to only replace the crystal and install a new battery. i am only willing to pay for the services i requested on the form when i shipped the watch to the company. please contact me to let me know if the company will be able to replace the crystal and battery only. "My watch repair took months. All that was required was the replace of a small screw head that held the band in place. When I called about it they said it had not passed Q/C and it was returned to Repairs for another month. Impossible! All that was required was the missing screw head to be inserted into the exterior of the watch in order to secure the mouthing of the band. That was it. What cold Q/C possibly found out that needed to go back to Repairs. Either the screw was in place or it watched. It sounded like a stock response to someone called because of an extended delay."
"I’ve had five watches repaired by Watch Repair USA and I’ve always had perfect results. From my Breitling to my Baume et Mercier the repairs are outstanding. I definitely recommend their services."
"Watch was sent in for a complete service. The customer service was excellent, and the watch looks great.
Unfortunately, the watch is losing 4 -5 minutes a day. I do not take the watch off while sleeping. I have tried a rewind, but still having the same problem. With the high cost, I expected this automatic watch to run perfectly. Disappointed! Now what?"
"WRUSA customer service is a service that goes ''Beyond the call of duty'' I enjoy how once a week they are keeping you update of what are they're doing to your watch. Its just a great service, period.323560"
"I’ve had two watches repaired by Watch Repair USA. Both were handled perfectly. In fact, my Patek Philippe came back from its service work looking like new and at a lower price than the one jeweler I found who would even touch it. They gave me regular updates on my progress and in general showed they really care. Highly recommended."
"Overall I am very satisfied with company. They gave me a reasonable quote and told me an accurate time frame to get it back. My watch looks and operates like new."
"I sent my Movado watch in for repairs & it’s working very well. The only thing I wasn’t happy about, is the post office leaving it on my front porch, & not getting a signature as I was led to believe."
"Overall exceptional service! The website is customer friendly to navigate. Providing a shipping label was great. Customer Service calling to thank the customer sending in a watch is a nice touch. The email image of the watch sent in. Timely troubleshooting with a quote. Ease of prepayment for work to be done. The only element of disappointment was the return shipping costs were a bit on the pricey side. Outside of that, Watch Repair USA is an excellent company with superb service and professionalism. "
"I sent my watch to get a repair estimate on April 20, 2021. It received a voicemail response confirming my watched had been received and I would get a repair estimate in 1 to 2 weeks. I received the repair estimate and paid for the repair in advance on April 30, 2021. The repair exceeded the original cost of the watch, but due to sentimental value, I agreed with the repair cost. I was given a 4 to 8 week time frame to repair my watch. My watch was repaired on June 8, 2021 and shipped to me on June 10, 2021.
While I am pleased with the repair, Watch Repairs USA, is my only repair option for my Bulova- Caravelle. I could not get it repaired locally, due to the parts only being available through Bulova through Watch Repairs USA. I followed up twice requesting updates on the repair time / progress for my watch. I did receive responses, so the communication is acceptable, other than I had to initiate the inquiry.
All in all, I was disappointed in the length of time it took to get my watch repaired and back to me. It was over two months, so therefore I am giving Watch Repairs a Three (3). I am only somewhat satisfied. Because they are the only source, I could use, I did not have another option. In the future, I'd recommend they have a quicker turnaround, 3 to 4 weeks for repairs.

"I used this company because it was the direct link on the watch manufacture website for repairs.
No questions asked, I sent them the watch got a estimate for the broken cristal repair and made the payment, all contact was by emails.
From beginning to end took about 3 weeks and I got my watch back 1st week of January. At first the watch seemed perfect, however a couple of days later under sunlight I noticed 3 little flakes of the cristal bouncing around inside the watch! Very disappointing, the repair cost about 3/4 of a brand new one and the only reason I fixed it was a gift from my wife. And they did not clean all the broken "
"I sent my deceased father's wrist watch (a Wittnauer) into Watch Repairs USA. They confirm receipt of the watch with a photo of my Dad's watch in their possession. They evaluated the repairs and sent an estimate of repair cost in June 2020 and I accepted their repair cost and ordered the watch to be repaired. Initially, they were very responsive up until they received my ok to fix it and my money. I paid using PayPal/Synchrony Bank. Once they had the money the updates stopped and the tracking system they have no longer updated the repair process. I began emailing them repeatedly until I finally got a response that stated the watch was still being repaired and repairs should be completed in 3 weeks. Guess what?! No they weren't. Now is January 9, 2021 and no watch. At this point a rather unpleasant man named Paul has interjected himself into the equation and says the watch repair technician ordered the wrong part and the watch is not ready. I asked for a time frame and he would not provide a time frame and said basically it's ready when we say it's ready. I feel they farm out the repairs to contractors that are idiots and they bungle the repairs or lose the watches. Since the money was paid in full up front and the company is unresponsive you have no choice but to dispute the charges with your credit card company and file a police report. I noticed many many many of their customers in this review section have had the exact same problem as the problem I am describing here. This is not a reputable company. Proceed with caution or avoid them like toxic waste. Now that I filed a dispute Paul and the company have stopped all communication with me. PayPal gives you 180 days to file a dispute. I was at the 167 day mark. The credit issuer Synchrony Bank allows an unlimited time frame for disputes especially since the watch I sent them is in their possession. It's a mess. It will be interesting to see how they respond. Previous responses I noticed here are retaliatory claiming they never received the watch. I however have proof because they sent me pictures of my Dad's watch in their possession, a list of repair items needed to fix and a strong of emails confirming the delays. It boils down to getting the watch back and getting a refund at this point as my objective."
"$700 and over 4 months, they sent my watch back completely inoperable after a "complete mechanical restoration". I say they did nothing. Then I researched the company and found out (sadly after the fact) they have a HORRIBLE online review record with hundreds of angry victims. BBB F grade too. All victims should take the time to file official complaints with FTC and Illinois Attorney General, which have online forms. This company is stealing, not watch repairing. "
