"I have been a customer for 3 years now. I have an E2, E3, and S3 Arctic. The quality of the lasers are awesome. I had a malfunction with my S3, but Jim in Customer Service promptly issued an RMA and I had my new S3 a few weeks later. In this day of overnight shipping and instant communications, one tends to get angry or lose confidence if their communications and orders are not instantly attended to. Wicked Lasers does everything else so well, that with them, the slogan "good things come to those who wait" is very true. Have patience and you will be a Wicked Lasers product enthusiast! Remember to always excercise safety and common sense when operating your lasers, especially wicked ones like the S3 and E3 300 models! A fan for life... Robert"

"Ordered my torch and even though it took a little bit to get here, I did get it. Smooth transaction and great customer service. They even had to send it 2 times since my mail carrier messed up one of the times it was shipped. Great communication from their team and I am super happy with my product. Will definately buy again."

"Placed my order in november 2010.
Money was immediately collected, but I received no track and trace number.
From that moment a looooooooong email communication took place.
Although it all went very laborious, I still got answers. Every time from another ‘person’ so it all went nowhere.
I hoped to receive the lasers I ordered (an S3 and E3) before the end of year, but that passed…
After 3 months went by and no lasers were received I concluded I was ripped and told them I would notify the officials.
I guess it was no coincidence that I received my lasers shortly after in march 2011.
The lasers were VERY IMPRESSIVE! I hope my eyes will last the rest of my life because I couldn’t stop looking at the amazing beam.
Unfortunately my E3 laser broke down after a few weeks (just used a few times).
The status light was lit, bus no beam exited the laser
So again my disappointment was big.
I contacted Wicked Laser trough by creating a support ticked.

That’s when I came in contact with Jim.
And I have to be honest, but he is the only one who has actually really helped.
From that moment I only corresponded with him. Not every time someone else who didn’t know what’s going on, just Jim. And it was a real conversation, in which I mean that he actually answered my questions.

Shortly after I received an RMA request form, I sent my broken laser back and a few weeks later ( I almost started to think I never see my laser again) I received the new laser.
It looks like an upgrade, but I can’t really tell. It say’s

"I have to say after reading negative reviews, our company felt it quite risky to purchase from Wicked Lasers, but we proceeded. Yes, there is always a risk when shipping these type of items through customs, but Wicked Lasers seems to know what they are doing now because we received our very large order of lasers within 3 weeks. Jim K in customer service has been continually responsive and helpful. It certainly seems that Wicked Lasers is making a huge effort to overcome their growing pains and deliver quality customer service. We are purchasing more lasers and look forward to continuing our relationship with the company. "ordered the torch a month ago and still haven't received any shipping information. no reply to emails, toll-free number forwarded to voice mail. will report fraud to bank if I do not received my product for another week.
do not buy from wicked laser.

"Same problem as everyone else. Ordered on Dec. 16th, was promised that the lasers would start shipping after Feb 8th due to Chinese New Year.

Since that time I have gotten no responses. It's now early April, and I'm going through my CC company for a refund.

Extremely dissatisfied. I read that the actual lasers are of a high quality, but I would never buy directly from them. Only through a local reseller who ships from within the country.

UPDATE 7/23/11: They offered me a free laser to take down this review.

"bought a "Torch" in Nov of 2010, now March, no product delivered yet charged in full for such. Getting a hold of a human at Wicked Lasers is difficult but of recent they have been very prompt in getting back to me. Product delivered soon after this writing, product works GREAT! they sent me a couple of extra batteries also free, this product is AS ADVERTISED and IS SEVERELY BRIGHT, battery life is short, as stated about 15 minutes and flashlight does get hot if used continously, but overall a great product! By far the brightest handheld flashlight on the planet and GREAT area coverage also, not just a focused beam."

"I ordered a laser on August 2nd, here it is Jan 20, still nothing. No order number, no shipping confirmation, no answers, no nothing. My card was immediately charged, their website is full of lies when it tells you they won't charge until shipped. Can't get through to Customer Service, a misnomer if there ever was one. I have Live Chatted and emailed dozens of times with no response. This company is THE WORST, EVER!


UPDATE!! After a short delay of 193 DAYS, I finally received my laser. Still the worst company I have ever dealt with. How many companies charge your card immediately, then wait over six months to ship?


Still yet another update!!
My laser worked fine for about three seconds. When I put it in it's case, the on/off button fell off. Apparently it was supposed to be glued or attached to something inside but wasn't. So far, it's been two weeks since I contacted them, but as usual, no response other than to say they got my message. I WILL NOT send them my laser until a replacement arrives!!!
I seriously doubt that they will ever get in touch with me, and if they do, I'm sure they'll weasel out of replacing it. After all my order date was in August, so I'll bet my warranty ran out before I ever even got the product.
AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!!
Honest to God, I've never heard of customer service so absolutely horrendous!!!


YET ANOTHER UPDATE!
After my laser arrived with a defective switch, I was in email communication with Jim at WL. We discussed my suggestions to fix the switch problem. And since I think I can repair the switch (the laser works beautifully other than that) they have chosen to give me a full refund. So, after a long delay from order date, I do have a working laser that is better than the one I originally ordered, as well as the extra they sent me, which included a tripod and ring holder.
I really think they just got in over their heads with the sudden success of their products, and the delays were not intentional or evil, just long and unwanted by both parties. Therefore I am upgrading my rating.

"As everyone has noted. I cannot confirm this is a scam. The do have a fair customer service that gets back to you. But placed order for G3 laser 3 months ago. Was told there was a delay with customs multiple times. Wanted to give this as a gift for Christmas so held out until Dec. 15. Was told would ship on Dec. 20th as was stuck in customs. Of course holidays came and went. Called toll free number today 12/27/2010 ... guess what the voice mail is full!!..... full of unhappy customers no doubt. Did speak with my son who ordered but cancelled when I told him I would order it... and the company did credit his credit card though it took a week to see the charge. My suggestion... would be not to shop here and if you already ordered... cancel your order and either post a dispute with your credit card company or wait at least a week for Wicked Lasers to credit your account. Turns out I probably really did not need a laser.... so its all good! "

"The Spyder Arctic laser is everything the company claims it to be. It is of high quality design and is an impressive tool. I use the laser in the surveying of abandoned mines and it has proven to be extremely useful for long dark voids.

Wicked Lasers is a good company with good intentions. It seems they unknowingly advertised the laser in a way that the world requested more than they could ever manufacture in a decent time, leading to VERY long wait times. The wait was worth it in every way. I was becoming a bit disgruntled at the wait, and the CEO and others at Wicked Lasers took time to make sure I was happy and taken care of.

I'll be purchasing from Wicked Laser again in the future.

"Original Review:
Sometimes a professionally crafted web site, the presence of a toll free customer service number, online-chat and email options for communication, and valid participation in various "online trust" programs just doesn't count for anything.

Original Review:
I placed an order a month ago for an item that was prominently displayed on the web site as "In Stock." My credit card was charged immediately upon placing the order. After 2 weeks of no shipment and no further communication, I began trying to find out why.

UPDATE - January 2011:
The folks at Wicked Lasers appear to be managing their reputation a little better by adjusting the "In Stock" status of their products more accurately.

Original Review:
I was able to connect to online chat once and asked how much longer it would be before shipment, but couldn't get any useful answers. A few days later I sent an email via the web site message system, and the answer I got was a list of excuses about a new switch technology, manufacturing delays, unexpected order volume, etc. Got the same basic answer, rephrased, a few days after that, also by email. Finally tried calling the toll free (877) number, repeatedly, but it always dropped to a voice mail box and I never got any response to messages I left.

UPDATE - January 2011:
Communication remains an area where WickedLasers has plenty of room for improvement. They seem to be trying to fix this, but they still appear to be struggling to recover from past mistakes. Just manage your own frustration level and be aware that they're covered up and you should expect some sketchy responses along the way if you order.

Original Review:
My order still shows "Backorder" when I view it by logging into their web site. I finally gave up on the order ever being filled and decided that my time was running out to get help from my credit card company's dispute process so I tried twice to cancel the order via the web site email system, and twice by phone, giving Wicked Lasers a few days to respond. For all I can tell, they are counting on people to forget they've ordered something and never intend to refund anything.

UPDATE - January 2011:
After a VERY long wait, I finally received the Arctic III I ordered last August. Turns out they really did get overwhelmed with orders and just couldn't keep up. While that wasn't a particularly good way to gain customer trust, even Macy's has trouble keeping up when Oprah mentions something they sell. slashdot.org probably put WickedLasers in the fix they were in.

My bad experience with Wicked Lasers ended with a balance adjustment from my credit card company from a dispute of the charges. Apparently they were not able to make contact with the company either.

Wicked Lasers is at best irresponsible and unreliable. At worst, it is just a big, cleverly executed scam.

WickedLasers is still having troubles with long shipping times from Asia to the U.S., and customs delays seem to be better or worse depending upon the destination address. However, as it turns out, they don't seem to be intentionally mistreating their customers. They just got pummeled by a level of demand they couldn't meet with supply and misjudged their customers' tolerance level.

Update: 2011/08/11
Now I'm getting spam with phishing scams, etc. at the email address I provided to WickedLasers for the transaction. I have a domain wildcard/bucket email account that allows me to make up an email address per vendor and allows me to tell which one of the idiots shared the email address with criminals. So I have confirmed that WickedLasers WILL NOT PROTECT YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS from criminals. Perhaps it wouldn't be wise to give them credit card info either, which probably means you shouldn't purchase anything from them. I'm changing my rating back down to "Wicked Lasers SUCKS!!"
