"Placed order on 4/30/07 and received confirmation email. On 5/3/07 I received an email saying I need to call and verify my order. I was told it was in stock and I then received the obligatory up-sell, to which I answered NO to all options/accessories. The guy went from very friendly to somewhat rude when I didn't get any add-ons. Shortly after the conversation concluded, I received an email stating that the item was out of stock and it will be 5-6 weeks on backorder. The email said that if I wanted to cancel, simply reply to the email with "Please Cancel Order #[xxxxx]". I have done this three times and not received confirmation of a cancelled order. In addition, the order status on the website still lists as "pending." Despite assurances in the email that they will "take care of the rest and destroy any sensitive information included your order" they still have my credit card info on file in this pending order.

I do not trust this company and recommend everyone stay away.

"Ordered Nikon d80 body, 18-55 lens. filters, warranty. Steve told me camera would be in in a week. Had them ship lens, etc. Received lens, etc, 3 days later. Read return policy (which they do not tell you about). Called before 7 days were up, talked to Mike said wait till Thurs because it takes 10-12 days to get camera. Told him that I needed a RMA and he said "not to worry because the camera would be in".Called back on Thurs- on hold for 15 mins, Steve answers told him that I haven't received camera. He says he can't access his computer because it's after 8pm and they've shut down the computers. Told to call Customer service- given wrong hours.Called next day Fri and they were closed. FINALLY, got through to Jennifer (after being on hold for 20 mins on Mon) and she stated that it was past the 7 day return policy and I can't return the lenses, etc that I ordered. I told her that I have NO CAMERA BODY to use the lens with...then she said that my camera will be at the end of May & they will contact me by email. Asked to speak to Mgr - James, ended up leaving message with both James and Jennifer to call me back. Haven't heard a word since. Filed compliant with Better Business Bureau and FTC...This was suppose to be my birthday and Mother's Day presents that I have been saving up for over a year. Now it's been ruined...

I sent them an email letting them know that I have filed these complaints. Update 05/18/07 received email from company stating that they VALUE me and that I need to call customer service to rectify my problem.This after I sent them an email with my BBB and FTC complaint numbers. GO figure!!

06/05/07 -Update. After trying for 3 days(on hold min. of 30 mins),I finally got to speak to James (who I had left 4 messages on his voicemail). He told me that they had fired Jennifer because she was lying to customers and that he couldn't honor the RMA that she said she'd give me. He could only give me a $50 credit for my inconvienence.He also said that they still son't have the camera in stock. Needless to say, I now have to spend more money for a camera body, because I have a lens and filters that I cannot use. The BBB in New York knows what is going on. FILE A CLAIM TO THE BBB AND FTC. The more united we are as the buying public, it will make a difference.

"It is the worst experience i got!
When I ordered, the website announce the item is in stock, "Usually Ships in 1 to 2 Business Days"
after placing my order, they ask me to "Confirm" the order, and hold me for 29 minuet, trying to sell me additional accessories, then told me the order will be shipped within 5 day. next day they send me an e-mail to tell me:
"We regret to inform you that the products you have ordered included in order# ------ are sold out temporarily.
However, these products shall be available again within about 5-6 weeks from the date of this email."
then I canceled the order.

"My mistake was that I did not check out this website before placing my order. Ordered a Sony Handycam DCR-SR42. Got an email asking me to confirm my order. Spent 2 hours on hold, and got a call back later from "Eric" - who tried to convince me to buy "filters" (otherwise the lens would be ruined). Then tried to convince me to buy an "extended-life" battery. After I declined all those offers, he said the order has been placed and I should get it in a week and a half. Surprise - today I get an email saying the camera has been back-ordered. I have sent an email asking to cancel. Am going to call later as well, so let's see.

"I wish I had searched for reviews about this company before I bought - it was a scam, everything happened as everyone said. I'll add that the return policy is also a ploy (you have to return the overpriced items, as well as the camera you actually do want to keep, then pay a 15-20% restocking fee). I called about returning it, and the girl I spoke to was very rude, with a big chip on her shoulder, and she tried to placate me with a camera accessory kit that was all of $15 on Amazon. I admit, I just kept the camera and the overpriced stuff, but at that point it was worth it not to have to deal with this company. Save your money, avoid stress - buy from a reputable merchant!"

"I ordered a camera online and they called me wednesday and said i had left the security code off of my order and I thought that was funny because it wouldnt have taken the order without it and they tried to sell me something else i didnt need with the camera.but i gave them the number and 10 days later i receive and email that it was on back order for 5-6 weeks. what a fraud..do not buy from this company"

"I hope I got the invoice number right. It was from Wisetronics.

I thought I was ordering from a legit company but I wasn't. The digital camera I was ordering seemed like a really good deal. I get an email from them telling me to call them. They're open from 9:30 AM to 8 PM. Its 1130AM when I call. They're closed. I wait an hour, call back.

I'm waiting for about five minutes on the phone in front of my computer. I decided to search for the site and see what others say about it. I read all the criminal BS they give people. I was prepared to tear them a new one.

So it says I have 9 minutes till someone picks up. 12 minutes... 9.. minutes.. 2 minutes... pick up from some rude lady. I give her my invoice number. "hold". Then some fast talking jerk picks up and asks what my number is, give it to him, confirms different billing/shipping address and credit card info. Rudely he asks "why didn't you use the coupon". I tell him its for a friend and I just want the camera as soon as possible. OK, it will be shipped as soon as possible. I get an email yesterday, its been back ordered for 5-6 weeks. They should have their current stock on their website or he could of at least tell me they didn't have it. I'm sure they do because I didn't buy their extra BS.

The camera was $160 and a ridiculous $17 shipping USPS ground. 7-12 day arrival. From NY.

Cancel. I'll order from a different site that doesn't shaft me for every penny that I've got. From now on I will google the site before buying.

This is criminal and should be illegal.

"Google searched for the best price for a Canon S3. Wisetrinics beat the rest by a lot. I called them and they assured me they were in stock and everything they sold was brand new. I ordered on line and it should have been shipped on Tuesday. Tuesday I recieved an email to call them and CONFIRM the order. I called and they said they needed the three digit code off the back of my credit card. They had not asked for it in the order process it was just a lie to get me to talk to the sales man that praised my choice in the camera. He did assure me they were in stock and it would be sent out in about 2 days. That was another lie. He tried to sell me way over priced additional accesories that I refused. Two days later on Thurdsay they sent me an email saying they were out of stock. Another lie as I had called early in the day and the salesman said they had the camera in stock. So I asked about my order and he put me in a cue with an endless wait time never to get an answer. THIS COMPANY REALLY NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN!!!"

"It was a big rip off. I got the shell of a digital camera and had to pay a whole lot more to get the rest. What should have cost $300 ended up costing me $700. Don't shop with them. I paid for a warranty and never got it. "

"This company is deceptive. After placing an internet order they require you to call them so they can push other products on you. When you refuse to purchase they tell you the product isn't in stock, although the website states differently. I do not recommend using them for anything."

"I have found that Wisetronics is a bait and switch outfit. If you buy the camera and don't add the bells and whistles they are suddenly out of stock! The prices seem great till you get to the extras and they are overpriced. So wouldn't recommend doing business with them, pay a little more get what you want ."

"I ordered a Canon SD1000 from Wisetronics.com at an excellent price, about $190. They sent me an email asking me to call them because of some question about my billing/shipping address. After getting that cleared up they said that I had ordered the "overseas model" of the camera, that comes with no battery or charger. If I wanted the US model I would have to pay $289 which is only $10 less than the list price! Obviously there was no problem with my billing/shipping address, all they wanted to do was get me on the phone to pull their "bait-and-switch" scam. I told them to cancel the order. Hopefully they don't charge my credit card. I'll be watching my statement very closely!"

"Beware - This company provided unsatisfactory product delivery. I ordered a camera from this company on 15 Mar 07, called them to confirm that the item was in stock, and was told it was and would be shipped within two days. I then got e-mail from them asking me to call customer service. I called and they confirmed the order & tried to sell me accessories which I declined. Ten days after that conversation they sent an e-mail saying the the camera was back ordered and would not be delivered for 4-6 weeks. They then gave me the option to cancel. I replied that I considered this a violation of our agreement and said if they could not deliver immediately to cancel the order & they did.

My Son-In-law called that same day and asked about the exact same camera and they told him it was a great choice and it was in stock.

I plan to report this to the Better Business Bureau
