"My experiences with this retailer suggest that there's definitely dysfunction in their order processing procedures:
1. The rep I initially spoke with said he would call me back in an hour to check the availability of the item I was interested (a fireplace heater).
2. After no call back several hours later, I called back and spoke with a different rep. He could find NO RECORD of my initial conversation (!), but said the item was in stock and would ship the next day, with arrival in ~4 days.
3. After 4 days when the item did NOT arrive, I called back to find out that it in fact had not shipped as promised. It was back ordered and would not ship for another 7-10 days (!). I decided to cancel (found a more responsive retailer). They promised a prompt refund.
4. Three days later, no refund showed on my credit card account. I called CS, and the rep said the cancellation showed but refund had not been processed (!). Finally, I receive an email indicating the refund is being processed.
SUMMARY: Reps were generally friendly but order fulfillment process is flawed.

"I bought a flush mount glass fireplace door in 2008. I was very nervous about making such a major purchase of a custom, non-returnable product over the web. I found the site and sales personnel to be extremely informative. When the doors arrived they fit perfectly. I'm back to order one for the upstairs fireplace today. This is the best "upgrade" to our country cabin we have made to date... we are extremely pleased."

"I would not do any business with Woodland. I ordered a cab enclouser for my Kawasaki 3010 for 269.00, which was a good price. I had to call customer service to see where my order was and they checked the warehouse and said they were out of stock and the vendor would not sell to them any longer. Well if you check the Woodland Web site, they now have plenty and Oh!!! the price went up to 312.00 for that item number 2040193. I would have paid the difference if only they had told me the truth. DON'T TRUST this vendor !!!!!!!! Go to Ebay and buy the same item with shipping for 239.00. They were quick on refunding my 269.00."

"I think that your Sales people know your product well, they were very courteous and kind. Your telephone system connects to your Technical Sales people quickly and did not always heve to leave a message. Yuor staff did return calls promptly where applicable. Prices were reasonable compared to other companies and quality of your products is certainly top notch! Nice web site and easy to navigate. Excellent photos on your web site displaying your products.
Very impressive staff and company-Keep up the good work and the customers will keep coming. I will recommend your company to all my friends and contacts.

"I have owned and installed a Lyemance damper in the past and have been very satisfied with it. I recently bought and installed 2 more dampers and they were easy to install and work very well. This is a quality product and Woodland is a 1st class company. Their customer service is the best!

"Woodland Direct has the most competitive prices in the market. The company's website was very easy to navigate through and find the custom fireplace products we needed to finish outfiting our new living room. Lastly, Steve at customer service was extremely professional and enjoyable to work with in making sure we ordered the appropriate type and size of firescreen for our new fireplace."

"The customer service was very helpful. I was interested in a Lyenmance chimney damper and wanted to confirm the proper size. The service rep, Ryan, measured a unit to confirm which unit would fit my chimney tile. We also confirmed the cable length which would work for the lower level. All the support provide, enabled me to make sure that I got what I needed."

"It has been two weeks since I placed my order with Woodland Direct (via internet and paid with Pay Pal). To date, I have received a partial shipment. I called today and spoke with "Andrea" regarding my pending order and to cancel the order if it had not been shipped. She replied that she was unable to contact the warehouse and that she was leaving in 45 minutes and that it would be Monday before she could let me know if the product had in fact already shipped. If it had shipped then I would have to pay a 20% restock fee and return shipping costs. I stated to her that was unfair since her inability to contact the warehouse was her problem and the delay may result in the product shipping out this weekend which would mean I would incur the charges for an immediate return. She was rude and cut me off. I told her I did not do business with companies that had such an attitude. She said have a nice weekend and hung up. This is poor business practice and this company makes it extremely difficult for customers to return or cancel orders. Keep this in mind when ordering from these people!"

"I ordered a set of arched doors and a Cozygrate for my fireplace. The Cozygrate came quick, but the doors took seven and a half weeks after the salesman said they would take about 4 weeks. They said they were going to use 2nd day shipping at no charge to help make up some time but that took four days. Also the doors came significantly smaller than the drawing I had provided, it took four tubes of high temperature caulk to fill the gap between the door frame and my fireplace. In the end it looks OK, but smaller than it should be. I would not use them again."

"I want to thank you for all your help. I ordered a chimney cap last November. I actually had no idea what I was doing. Your support staff spent much time and multiple phone calls with me on how to install this thing and even told how to safely climb with my ladder on to the roof. The price was about half of what I found at the local hardware store and it now works great. Thanks so much. You are all my guardian angels"

"Great Service. Good Product. Decent Price. My only complaint was that the chimney cover did not provide me with outside dimensions (maximum outside footprint,) so it ended up a little larger than my chimney. It was going to be a tight fit anyway, but with the actual dimensions being larger than stated, it kind of hung off my chimney on two sides. "
