"I needed some outdoor furniture covers and found Woodland Direct via Google. They have a very good online catelouge and easy ordering system. I was ready to place an Internet order and needed claification so I called the 800 number and spoke with a very helpful rep (Steve McG). Not only did he answer my questions but he then completed my order for me. When I asked if there were any coupons or promotions available he saved me an additional 5%. That's what I call great customer service."

UPDATE: A Woodland Direct reached out to me personally to rectify the situation and apologized for how my case was handled. The are accepting my return now.

My complaint with Woodland Direct is twofold.
First, I received a product with missing parts (screws packaged without corresponding nuts), but since I did not realize it was incomplete within seven days of my purchase, I was not able to receive replacement nuts. By the time I had a chance to hunt down the nuts myself and install the fireplace screen, I only then realized that the screen was a 1/4 inch too long. At that point, I was no longer eligible for the 30 day return policy.
However, the process of dealing with their customer service department was what really made this whole thing unpleasant. The first person I emailed with was completely inflexible, impersonal and uninterested in me being a satisfied customer. Thankfully, a follow-up representative rectified the situation.

"I placed an order on Dec 14th to ship directly to my parents as a Christmas Gift. Website promised before Christmas delivery. It did not arrive before Christmas and that was disappointing. However, imagine my surprise when my mother tells me on Jan 7th that she STILL does not have it!
I emailed their customer service that day and rec'd a response that a "ticket had been created" on Jan 14th! A full week later.
In the meantime, I called their customer service number and learned that the item had shipped on Jan 6th and did arrive on Jan 8th.
If there was going to be a THREE week delay in shipping at holiday time, why was a never notified?
And, why does it take a WEEK to get an email response to a customer service issue?"
"The Hearth Premium Ash Vac by Woodland Direct is faulty and blew ash throughout my living room furniture. What's worse, your disclaimer not allowing a faulty product like this to be returned or exchanged for another product leaves consumers like me stuck with a lemon that we are unable to use without causing further damage to our homes. I'm disappointed and you should be ashamed."
