"My wife got me a gift card for me to get air intake system for my new truck and I placed an order Jan. 3 when I got an email saying it was back in stock and was expecting to receive my order Jan. 7-9, when the 10th hit I got another email saying the item was back in stock, I tried using their online chat which was no help at all just told it was out of stock and would ship the 14th but they couldn’t answer my question as to why I got an email saying that it was in stock. I called and got the same answer and was told that it wouldn’t ship until the first part of March, 2 months after I placed the order plus the lady I talked with just kept interrupting me and then hung up on me. Called back and asked to talk with a supervisor and was finally told they had switched some computer stuff and that could be the reason for the emails. I canceled my order and was told I would be refunded my money and my gift card. Come to find out they only refunded me the amount I had to use on my credit card since the gift card didn’t cover the whole amount and I called once again and now they are telling they won’t refund me the gift card since it is store credit even though they said they were going to. If I would’ve known that I wouldn’t have canceled my order so I could get what I wanted. Out of all of this I had to do all the contacting to figure out what was going on, I never once received an email other than the one’s saying the item was back in stock or never received a call from them and they have all my info. They should’ve reached out in some way to explain the situation. This has been the worst experience I’ve ever had with any company. I seriously don’t know how they have such a high rating. Really wish I didn’t have to use them. All I can say is just TERRIBLE costumer service. Won’t be referring anyone to this company and won’t be using them again"

"I ordered tail lights for my Jeep at approximately 6:30 - 7:00am. I then checked Amazon and found a pair that were the exact same tail lights for about $60.00 less. I immediately called Extreme Terrain to cancel my order and got a recording stating that Customer Service doesn't take calls until 8:00 am. I called back at 8:03am and was told that they could not cancel my order because they had already been placed for shipment. I highly doubt that they would be in the ready to ship department within a hour and a half on a Sunday morning! The customer service person did not ask why I wanted to cancel or what they could do to solve my issue or to make me happy with my order. She just said there are no managers on duty on weekends to authorize a cancellation. I told her then I will callback on Monday morning and was told they won't be able to do anything then either, but I can callback when I get the order and ask for a return label. That way I will have the hassle of having to try and get my refund back. I then got on the Extreme Terrain and asked about a price match and was told I'm not sure, send me the link to where I found them cheaper and I got the link but the person on chat was gone a minute later when I posted the link. I started another chat and they said same thing, that the order was already in the ready to ship department and they couldn't do anything about a cancellation, but said I would get a $15 voucher for my next purchase. I told him to keep the voucher because I will never order ANYTHING from Extreme Terrain again. I learned my lesson and will ONLY shop Amazon from now on. No wonder Amazon has such a successful business, no BS from their Customer Service!"
"Probably one of the best sites from the US or possibly even Canada to buy parts from for the Tacoma. It’s hard to find anything in Canada or at least the good stuff for Tacoma off-roading. Most US sites charge ridiculous fees for shipping and then once item arrives you pay taxes and duty on top of that which also is a ridiculous price. Extreme terrain price for shipping is amazing and on top of that there is no extra tax or duty when the item is delivered. They include everything in the shipping price and it is very reasonable.
My only negative with extreme terrain is that they don’t offer to ship every part they have available in the US to Canadian customers. If they could make everything available to Canadians just like for US customers they would be my only go to website for parts"
"The company sent me an email describing their "Black Friday" deals. When I went to the website, they advertised 20% off of the purchase of tires listed. When I added them to my cart, it would not provide the advertised discount. I had online chat with Dan Leeman who spoke with his supervisor Nikki Gaudette. The informed me that they would not honor the advertised price because the discount applied to open box returns, which is not what was being advertised to start with. The were telling me I would have to pay the full price, but offered a discount up to $150 total, which was $60.80 lower than the advertised discount. I feel like this was a bait and switch activity. They did not remove the false advertising once they found out about the possible illegal activity. "

OnAug. 15 (From the webpage on Extreme Terrain.com) I ordered the Power Stop Z36 brake parts, two Rotors two Calibers and Pads. On the webpage it stated 3 inch Rotors, I TOOK A SCREEN SHOT OF THIS PAGE. I assumed the Rotors were the right size being that was what it said so I painted the hub part of the Rotor because they usually rust, and assembled the brakes. After finishing the job I realized both front wheels were seized. That is when I realized the Rotors were too big 3 1/4 inch. 8:30 AM I called Extreme Terrane and explained the situation. They won’t take back the Rotors because of the paint, I asked to speak with a Supervisor (not available) OK so I removed the paint and cleaned them to brand new. 4:30PM I Called Extreme Terrain again, Still they won’t take the Rotors and replace, ( supervisor not available) they said he will call me, supervisor never returned call. Called again Sat 9/20 8:35 spoke with a women Skylyn. .?? Agin asked for supervisor she put it in a report and said someone will call.. I didn’t hold my breath. The cause of the problem is they had the wrong information on the website which I ordered it from… this is not my fault. Now the information on the webpage has been changed to the right measurement, I have a snap shot of that page of what it was when I ordered the Rotors."
