"i purchased 5 external HDs from cooler express, for friends & family. the 1st 2 were great, the 3rd was DOA. right away it had to be me doing something wrong, cooler express says they check each one before they send them out, there for its me or my computer. i told them i have an AMD & my wife has a Dell it dose'nt work on either, so finelly they send me anouther one. it worked fine but they charged me shipping. then i got really stupied and ordered anouther one from them. this one came with the face plate upside down which i could have lived with except after i started to download my music files it kept on freezeing up. so i called them and once again it was something i was doing wrong. so paid the shipping sent it back for a refund, they charged me shipping again i just got off the phone for the last time with this company, i'm out $70.00 for them sending me 2 bad hard drives"

"This was a terrible experience. Ordered a DVD burner from them that didn’t work, tried to request a refund through their website and their website didn’t work. I then emailed them but got no reply. Finally, after sending multiply letters I finally did get a answer. They said they would email me the information I needed to mail back the item, I never heard from them. Now there is a time limit involved here. According to their pathetic refund policy, you only have ten days after getting your package to claim a refund. Therefore, I just called them, which was not easy since they are only open a few hours a day. The guy emailed me the information I needed and I finally was able to mail back the item. A couple months later, I got my refund minus a 15% restocking fee and shipping charges.
I, needless to say will never do business with these guy again. "

"Called in to ask for technical specs of an external hard drive casing I was interested in. Got the specs on the phone by sales person - who was very friendly -. I then ordered the item online. Unfortunately the item didn't fullfill the promised specs (2 firewire outlets). When trying to return the item I was told that tax and shipping cost would not be reimbursed, also I would have to pay return shipping out of my own pocket. The cost of the item was $ 41, which means that after return I would have still $ 19 open, which would not be reimbursed.
I can't recommend to buy at this store. If you call in you need to get info the info has to be correct or things should be reimbursed fully.
