"The hardest part about buying a Zager guitar over the internet is waiting for it to arrive! I gathered the goal of everybody I talked to at the organization was to make sure their customer was taken care of. I settled on a ZAD900E and let me just say that baby can sing. The guitar I was using prior was a Guild D30 and I thought that was a nice guitar. A new Guild D30 was about $1200, 20 years ago. This Zager is a whole different thing. Easier to play with a sweeter sound when finger picking and much bigger sound when hitting it with the pick and then add the Aura electronics and now I have my life long project ahead of me! Oh, did I say this guitar was beautiful? I had never seen a guitar with maple binding. Nice! Anyway if you are skeptical about purchasing a Zager guitar over the internet, no need to fear. Their goal is to make sure their customers are happy and their guitars are quality instruments. On top of that you can access their help section to learn everything you need to know about taking care of your guitar and you also get access to Denny's video guitar lessons. He doesn't even know but has already taught me a thing or two! I will say it again, you can't go wrong with a Zager!"

"I’m 67-years old and recently retired. Although I’ve had a goal to learn how to the play guitar for many ears (I’ve owned a Fender 40th Year Anniversary Strat since 1994), it seems like there were always higher priorities so I never really pursued it and the Strat spent many years in its case. Now I finally have the time and have aligned my priorities, placing guitar near the top. As a beginner I’ve just been working on open chords and basic strumming patterns over the past few months using the Strat and a couple of acoustic guitars that my son made in a community college guitar making course. Mostly I’ve been using one of the acoustics, but I found it really difficult to get clean chords because string spacing was too narrow. I’ve also developed some arthritis in my fretting hand thumb that limited my practice time. After hearing about Zager Easy-play, reading reviews and watching Zager videos over the last six-months, a Zager just seemed like a good choice for me to pursue my goal. I communicated via email with Dennis Jr on questions about string spacing and nut width on Zager guitars. Dennis got back to me within 24 hours and professionally answered all my questions, which is exactly what I had read about Zager customer service in hundreds of reviews. I ordered a ZAD-50CE on 31 May and it was due to arrive in July. To my surprise, it actually arrived ahead of schedule on 11 June. I could tell right out of the case, it is a beautifully crafted instrument with very full and rich tone. The built-in tuner makes tuning a snap. I noticed right off that my chords were much cleaner and I could use a lot less pressure with my fretting hand, which is allowing me to practice longer. Since I don’t have an amp, I plugged the ZAD-50CE into my iMac computer with Garage Band using an iRig HD2 interface to test out the ZAD-50CE’s electronics. All I can say is it sounds really great. So after just five days, I can honestly say I am a happy Zager customer and this is a purchase I will not be returning."

"Just received my new Zager Guitar and it’s everything they say it is. I am by no means what I would call an accomplished guitarist. "Love the sound and tone of the guitar. This is my 3rd Zager, and I also have a Taylor 814, and this 900OM is the closest in specs to the 814 I have. This plays and sounds as good as the 814 I have and is significantly cheaper than the 814-914 models. Plenty of pop with the sound, and you don’t notice that it’s not a full sized dreadnaught. "

"I recently purchased a Zager guitar. I want to let people know, who are interested in a very high quality instrument with excellent playability, that this company is a great way to go. I ordered one of their mid-level offerings, a solid spruce and mahogany OM (smaller sized) guitars, but through my own mistake in ordering, received a full size dreadnaught. Well, what a fantastic guitar! I own a 43-44 year old Martin D-35 since my teen years. This guitar I received, of solid mahogany and spruce construction, compared very favorably to my Martin. Now, I am just a guitar hobbyist, and no expert by any means. But even though the Zager’s tone is different than a well-aged Martin’s, it sounded beautiful in comparison. The tone, volume, sustain, clarity totally blew me away. Also, the guitar’s fit and finish, and overall aesthetics really impressed me as well. The photos on their website, although excellent, don’t do it justice. Beautiful looking guitar! Didn’t expect quite this level of quality. But....this was not the guitar I intended to order. No problem....Dennis Zager Jr. got back to me personally almost immediately via email and said hold onto it, and we will get you the one you want. Long story a little bit shorter, the Zagers treated me like gold, and between that and the beautiful ZAD50 I sampled, I was incentivized to order a higher model - the ZAD80OMce with solid Indian rosewood back and sides, western red cedar top, mahogany neck- in the OM size (which I wanted for comfort’s sake). This one, on top of the premium woods, has the cut-out in the body and Fishman electronics, so it is also an electric guitar. This guitar has more aesthetic appointments than the ZAD50 as well. What a beauty! Not as big a sound as a dreadnaught but still very full, great volume and sustain. Beautiful, warm tone and I have to emphasize.....incredible playability! It’s far easier to press the stings and hold chords, etc. than any guitar I’ve ever tried. This was the main reason I looked at this company. I never expected the greatness of the guitars and the customer service/relations. Just a very pleasurable experience. "

"I have been playing guitar since 1962 and have played a fair amount of different guitars over the years. The Zager guitar (ZAD900CE) stands out as an excellent instrument built with care and precision. I have owned this for over one month now and every day when I play it is just "opens up" a bit more and the sound improves. This is a fantastic guitar. No I am not a professional musician just someone who enjoys many styles of music. At one time I was a music instrument dealer and this stands above all of famous brands.
The customer service is amazing and they are always there to help with email, videos and I am sure if needed, an occasional phone call.

"This Zager ZAD50CEOM is a magnificent instrument; beautiful in every detail of workmanship, finish, and inlays. I marvel at the quality and beauty - a passion for their craft is both visually and sonically apparent. The rich, resonate sound of this Zager is fabulous, even when lightly strumming. It is indeed comfortable and easier to play. I think the slightly greater curvature of the fretboard with a low string height must be major contributors to playability.

I chose the concert orchestra model with cutaway, as I already have a dreadnought (of another maker). I’m glad to now have this smaller size, as it is most comfortable for playing while sitting anywhere.

"How can all these reviews be so positive? Can a family-owned place really compete with the big brands? How on earth would I buy a guitar that costs more than my first car sight unseen? I began my purchase process with a lot of questions and looking for the “catch.” But there really isn’t one. My guitar, as promised, was beautiful. Chords I couldn’t sound cleanly before came much more easily. And when I had a small problem with an errant thread in my new guitar the younger Mr. Zager responses more quickly and responsively than my realtor did when earning a huge commission on my home sale.
