"I've been playing a Martin Dreadnought for about 23 years. As it ages, it has BIG sound, but is getting harder and harder to play. I've had the neck and string height adjusted by a pro. I've gone to light strings. Still, my 60 year old fingers feel like they're on a cheese grater when I play it for long, which means I don't play it as often as I'd like. My wife offered to get me a new guitar and I started researching. I came across Zager. "In the Year 2525," is among my favorite songs, so I was intrigued right away. Reviews were great, and with a money back guarantee, it was hard to lose. I ordered a ZAD80CE. My wife and I opened the package together. We were both stunned at how beautiful it is. As I began to play, I loved the way it felt in my hands. The action is amazingly good. I probably said, "It's so easy to play," 10 times in the first hour. Tone is nice and I know it will get deeper with age. This may be the last guitar I ever buy. I love the thought of it mellowing along with me. Customer service is outstanding. Having listened to "2525" about 200 times on a road trip with my parents in 1968, the slight connection to Mr. Zager is pretty special for me. He definitely builds a beautiful instrument and has made playing enjoyable for me, once again."
"I received a Zager-modified student guitar (Greg Bennett D2) today. If I would have had a guitar like this when I started out, I would never have picked up an electric guitar. I can’t believe this is a $199 dollar guitar. The strings are Zager, signed by Zager, Zager case, Zager pick, Zager action modifications...very impressive. As easy to play and sounds as nice as my old Guild. This one is for my 23 year old son. I can’t wait to get my 50th Anniversary acoustic I ordered recently.
ADVICE: Buy guitars from this amazing luthier while you can. He’s got to retire sometime. :)

"My experience was excellent. I browsed the website, compared the models I was interested in and when I had a question I emailed Dennis Zager and he got back to me within the day. I made my decision, took advantage of the Paypal finance option and bought the guitar of my dreams. The whole process was painless!"
"The experience of shopping for a Zagir and actually purchasing one was exceptional in and of itself. I was able to compare and research what I wanted with no pressure to make a decision. When I got my guitar I was shocked at it's beauty as well as the craftsmanship. As with many others looking at this guitar, I have collected and previously played Martin's, PRS's, Gibsons, and Taylors; I actually still own several of them. This guitar has set the bar for me to a different level. The playability and overall feel is absolutely exceptional. This weekend I went to several guitar stores in the area and played some high end guitars which I thought may be comparable and what I learned was that none of these guitars could stand against my new Zagir. Great guitar and great value. "
"The whole process of selecting an instrument and purchase with Zager Guitars was straight forward, easy, and seamless. The worst thing about the entire transaction was the time it took from the moment I ordered until I was actually able to put my hands on this beautiful instrument... and that was only a few days due to transit time between Central Florida and Nebraska! This ZAD80CE plays better than I do. The construction and wood in the instrument are flawless. The Grover tuners are accurate and precise to use. The electronics are rock solid. The tone of this guitar is "grace to the ears",, and blends beautifully with the other guitarist, bass, and piano on our Worship Team. Pleased is an understatement. This guitar is a beauty in every aspect!"
"I have once custom Gibson, a Special Edition Martin acoustic with electronic package, and a Mahogany Martin, as well as a Taylor and a Gretch. I've been playing since I'm 16 and I'm 54. I don't play as well as I should or as bad as I think. LOL. This 900 that arrived today is the most beautiful looking and sounding guitar I have ever played and I haven't even tried the electronics yet. I'm an attorney on Long Island. I'm ready to pack up and hit the road. Seriously, the guitar case is even amazing with a humidity control reading. I had a few questions and the service is great. Blown away. And the guitar comes with a t-shirt and it's signed. I couldn't be happier."
"I am conscience of not exaggerating or throwing around superlatives so that when I want emphasize something it has meaning. So when I say I love my new Zager guitar, it means something!!! I am even hoping to get a similar Zager guitar in different woods. I am grateful to have an instrument that begs to be played!!!"
"I found this guitar in this small guitar shop and had never heard of the brand. It seemed a bit out of my price range.
The owner told me to pick it up and play it, and I am so glad he did. Seeing this guitar and playing it are two different things. Once I played it I knew I had to have it.
The invoice number is the model and serial number, since I bought this at a local music shop I do not have an actual invoice number"
"Over my sixty-eight years, like many guitar players, I have purchased many six and twelve string guitars, (both high-end and lower-end) seeking “the one” that met my high standards of:
Quality Build- using the best tone woods and materials available,
Looks- no paint to hide blemishes and finished to enhance the natural wood beauty without detracting from the sound,
Sound- full spectrum of sound with excellent projection,
Playability- able to play for long periods of time without pain and fatigue.
I finally found “the one six string” when I purchased my Zager 900CE, which met all of my high standards and more. Unfortunately, Zager did not make a twelve string (which is my primary instrument) so my search for “the one twelve string” continued. I was ecstatic when I saw Zager had made six limited-edition twelve strings. I immediately sent Dennis an email to see if I could purchase one. It must have been my lucky day because he emailed back (very quick response) that he did indeed still have one available. I sent him back an email that I wanted it, and I am now the very proud owner of a Zager twelve string, I should have also bought a lottery ticket, (oh well, I still have something to dream about).
When I received the guitar it quickly became apparent that I had indeed found “the one twelve string guitar” that not only met my high standards, but exceeded them! When you get to my age, physically playing for hours at a time becomes more difficult. Now that I have the matching set of the Zager 900 series six and twelve string guitars, I can continue to play the rest of my life away, happy and content as can be.
Now I can sell all the other guitars and make my wife happy as well. LOL

"ZAD80CE so easy to play, craftsman ship superb, sound without amplified full and bright. Amplified clear highs and lows. Won’t be playing any other brand of Acoustic guitar, and would love another. Fast shipping with a beautiful case. So glad I found Zager guitars."
"I was having problems with my new ZAD900CE with the little E and B strings hitting on the last fret when I played too hard. Damp wash cloths solved the problem. Denny advised me to do this and all issues were resolved. Five damp wash cloths inside the guitar for three days in the case and my guitar played better and sounded better than the day I received it. I was able to lower the action to where is was when I received it and I am all smiles. I can't wait to show my "Better Than Ever" Zager to my friends. Thanks again Denny."
"
Zager Guitars produces one of the absolute best series of acoustic guitars available. As a recent new owner of a ZAD900F model I can assure everyone it will exceed expectations. I have played Fender, Yamaha, Breedlove, Alvarez, Takamine, Gibson, Martin, and Taylor to name a few well known guitar brands and none are better just maybe more expensive. Once you hold one in your hands and take time to look at every detail from various angles the high degree of quality of wood materials, hardware, bracing, assembly, and exterior finishing will manifest as it does with all high calibre products. Superb rich sound, clarity, and resonance."
"First let me say that that this is an honest and totally unsolicited review. I had made my mind up and was saving to purchase a Martin D41 when I accidentally came across the Zager website. I had never heard of Zager guitars. I watched all the videos, read all the reviews, and because I was still a little short of purchasing the D41, I said what have I got to lose? The guarantee of my money back plus shipping both ways! I purchased the Zad900d and let me tell you, I could not be happier! I had been playing the Martins at a local shop and let me tell you, This guitar out performs them all across the board! Looks and Tone to playability! If you are thinking about purchasing a quality guitar I highly recommend that you give Zager a try first! You WILL NOT be sorry! Best guitar I have ever played!"
"For the first time I ordered the Zager strings. I put them on my Martin D-15M and am very pleased after playing for a couple of hours.
I live in Hawaii and play a lot of slack key, so I’m usually tuned down and fingerstyle, and the strings work great. The style uses a lot of harmonics, pulloffs, slides, and barres; I didn’t have to fight and the string tension seemed about rightfor me. At the end of a couple of hours the strings were holding tune.
The strings came in a velveteen case with a pick and fretboard cleaner. I’m embarrassed to say that the cleaning towel was quite dirty when I was finished with it. I also used the pick a bit and I really like it also, it took a few minutes to adjust to the larger size; at first it seemed unwieldy compared to the Dunlops that I usually use, but it seemed very comfortable.
I’ve strung a lot of guitars, but as I was changing strings and watched Denny’s video and learned a fewthings! From now on I’m going to restring Denny’s way, it’s very logical, efficient, and makes sense.
I live in a warm salt air environment and don’t keep my guitar in the case, so string life is short. I’ll see how long these strings last, but I’m sure they won’t be any worse than the others."
