"Earlier this week, I purchased a Parlor Size Solid African Mahogany Acoustic Electric made by Zager Guitars. This is an amazing guitar. It looks, sounds, and feels fantastic. I am still a beginner, and I've had a lot of frustration with my past guitar. I am 5' 2", and I have short fingers, so it's hard for me to make a lot of chords that are better-suited to long fingers. I did many hours of research, and briefly considered buying the baby Martin. But I am so glad I came upon Zager Guitar's website! I first discovered them through a YouTube video, then after doing more research and interviews about how much easier it is to play Zager guitars due to their ingenious adjustments, I was sold.
It took only a couple of days to arrive, which was impressively fast. The guitar was both beautiful looking, and plays beautifully. It holds up to all the reviews I watched and read--it is significantly easier and more enjoyable to play than any other guitar I've tried. Granted, I am a new player, but even my husband, a seasoned player of over 15 years, was very impressed by the guitar, and he commented on how it's easier to play than any guitar he has played over the years. He was so pleased that he plans to buy a Zager guitar soon as well.
I also reached out to Zager Guitars to thank them for their product, and was surprised to get a very fast, kind response from Dennis Zager Jr. We emailed back and forth a bit, and he was even kind enough to pass my appreciation to his father, Denny Zager. You can tell by their service how much they truly care about their craftsmanship, and their customers.

I just purchased a ZAD20 series in black, what a beautiful guitar! I have played a Gibson J45 at our local music store. I knew I could never afford one, short of winning a lottery. I can't explain in words the satisfaction of paying a fraction of the cost of a J45 and getting in my opinion a guitar of equal or perhaps better guitar in terms of playability and tone.

"I bought this parlor guitar more than a half year ago and came to the conclusion that it is my favorite guitar of the other two I own, a Fender and a Taylor guitar, both small guitars. The sound is just amazing for such a small size guitar and I like the warm tone very much. Also it's playability is excellent. I want to mention the exelent quality of the guitar, and the beautiful polishing look. I'm glad I bought this guitar. I have wrist problems. When, playing a while I get wrist fatigue, and it's not getting better so I was searching for a guitar that was easy playable. I live in the netherlands, so it was a big risk to buy this guitar. After reading a lot of reviews and looking at some you tube videos I decided to take my chances. Unfortunately I had to pay not only shipping costs but also import costs that makes the Zager guitars expensive after all for customers like me outside their region. I understand their policy ofcourse. But if I lived nearby I would buy a second Zager guitar for sure. But who knows maybe in a few years....."

My Taylor 910CE can't hold a light against this baby! I don't know why I haven't heard about Zager guitars before now! High end guitar at half the high end price, and well worth it!

Today I received my "Johnny Cash" Black Lacquer ZAD50CE - it was like Christmas Morning...I am a 60yr. old beginner - eager to learn - taking lessons and I am blown away by the way it looks, feels, and the ease in which my hand immediately fit on this Guitar...It is gorgeous and I just cringe at the thought of producing my first scratch!!!
This is my first product review for anything outside of my professional life...Numerous members of my family are quite gifted as they play guitars, basses, and banjos...Of course they have the well known name brands: Martin, Taylor, Gibson and the rest...
I did a great deal of research as my hands and fingers are larger (fatter) than the average bear so my abilities were limited on their respective instruments ...After considerable research and conversation/collaboration with the Zager Clan - their desire to make my experience 100% joyous is indeed a testament to their overall philosophy that everyone should enjoy the ease of playing the guitar as well as sharing that joy with others...To note, I also appreciated and was influenced by their commitment to provide this experience at no cost to children's programs throughout their numerous philanthropical endeavors...

"I personally hate the idea of purchasing an instrument online without having the chance to play it. I watched, pondered, and waited for almost 2 years and still hadn’t given in with making this purchase. My wife finally made the decision for me as a Christmas present. This has to be the nicest present I’ve ever received. I regularly play my guitar at church where I lead praise and worship. There are some heavy hitters listed on Zager’s website that have given these guitars stellar reviews. One of them is David Huff - he is an incredible christian musician whom I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and spending time with through our church.
My ZAD80CE guitar is superior in every way. When I think about bang for buck - I honestly don’t see how Dennis and his family don’t charge more - their guitars are worth 3-4 times what they are selling for. The ZAD80CE I purchased came with a Fishman setup - very solid and reliable. I was apprehensive about the “easy play” claims about the neck/fret build, but all of it is true. I can play this guitar for hours and not experience fatigue. The cedar top gives the guitar a smooth yet bright tone - it sounds rich and beautiful. I named my guitar “Baby” and my 8 year old daughter tells me that she hates “Baby” because I spend too much time with it.
With all sincerity and honesty - my zager guitar is my favorite. Every time I go into Guitar Center and sample the Gibsons, Martins, and Taylors - I chuckle and think to myself - my guitar is so much better than these! It plays like butter, there’s no fret buzz, the tuners are great. The inlays and craftsmanship are phenomenal. I know my guitar was built by hand in the USA - not in some factory by a machine. I don’t know what else to say - this ZAD80CE is a masterpiece. I can’t wait until I can convince my wife that I need a ZAD900CE Aura. Buy this guitar! You won’t regret it."
"My experience from pre-order, to order, to receipt of my guitar was absolutely excellent. I can't say enough about the quality of the people and the product at Zager Guitars. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone. The instrument has met and beat my expectations. As a guitar player for over 55 years, this is the first guitar I've ever played that I could play without finger pain day after day, even today with arthritis. There's just something about the small diameter neck, the wider fret board and the pillow soft strings, that when put together makes this guitar exactly as they state - Easy Play. And the tone (and volume) up and down the neck is bang on. It has a finish that's honestly 2nd to none. Thank you so much Dennis Zager & company for creating such an exquisite instrument.
