"THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED. YOU PAY FOR RETURN SHIPPING FOR DEFECTIVE/DoA ITEMS! I've purchased tens of thousands of dollars worth of computer equipment and electronics over the past few years, from a lot of different retailers. I recently purchased several items from ZipZoomFly and received an order confirmation via e-mail. Three days later, I still hadn't received the items (they advertise free 2-day shipping). So I went online, checked the status, and it said "CANCELLED". I tried to call them several times to ask if the order was really cancelled, since I received an order confirmation, and to ask why it was cancelled. I called three times over two days, and each time I called their "customer service department", a recording said to leave a message and they would return my call as soon as possible. Guess what? NO CALLS WERE RETURNED. I finally called the receptionist, who directed me to someone live. They said that they didn't know why the order was cancelled, and to try placing the order again. So I did. I received a defective hard drive, crashing with errors right out of the box. I called again for an RMA, but received the same recorded message to "leave a message" and that they would return my call. NO CALL RETURNED AGAIN. So I called, and dialed the receptionist again. She was new, and put me on hold after every question I asked. Long story still long, they WILL NOT PAY THE SHIPPING COSTS for returning DEFECTIVE ITEMS. Either you pay the shipping costs back to them and get a replacement, or they charge you a 15% restocking fee. I said "so if you send me another defective drive, and maybe another one after that, I have to keep paying shipping back to you?" Their answer was "yes". No other company I deal with makes YOU pay for shipping BACK to them if they send a defective item. For this reason, and for the HORRIBLE customer service, I give them the lowest rating possible, and will never shop with them again."

"I ordered a motherboard from ZipZoomFly, had to return it because it was defective, paid $10 to ship it back, received another motherboard (?) packed in the same box that was defective as well, called MSI who CONFIRMED it was defective, got ZipZoomFly to pay return shipping the 2nd time. 2nd time I asked for refund because I was tired of fooling with it, ZipZoomFly issued a credit MINUS A 15% RESTOCKING FEE!!! On a DEFECTIVE PRODUCT!!! Just so you know, I put an Asus motherboard in that computer and it's working just fine, so I DO know what I'm talking about. I've been fighting with ZipZoomFly over the 15% restocking fee on a defective motherboard ever since. 2 months later it is still unresolved. I'll never deal with ZipZoomFly ever again. -kd5-"

"This is the first time I have ordered from ZipZoom. Their prices were great, website pretty darn good (Newegg's filter searching is vastly superior, but I can't complain), but they took a little longer than I would have liked to get my order processed and out the door. I ordered on Sunday evening, and they didn't ship until Tuesday night."

"I have been doing business with GoogleGear/Zipzoomfly for over 7 years. However, after my last order, I will never do business with them again.

My last order has been a huge letdown. FedEx supposedly shipped my order to my old address (ZZF has my correct address on file) where it was subsequently lost. I can't blame this issue on ZZF as they gave FedEx the correct address and it was FedEx's fault the package got lost. I called ZZF and they filed a claim against FedEx. They won the case against FedEx. FedEx paid them the money, and over 10 days later, ZZF has not re-shipped my order. I had to call their Customer Service phone number 17 times during different times of the day to get ahold of someone. While their CS people are great to work with, it is frustratingly difficult to actually get somebody on the line.

Bottom line: ZZF had a chance to change a bad situation into a pleasant experience. However, they subsequently dropped the ball and turned a bad situation into a worse situation.

"The website is nice, although not as easy and fun to navigate through (such as newegg.com, sonystyle.com, etc...). The item shipped super fast, was greatly packed, and checkout was extremely easy. "This the second time I have purchased items from Zip Zoom Fly in a couple of years. Their pricing on computer hardware and free shipping offers made them very competitive against many other web based compaines. The hardware I received was as specified and arrived right on time. Only complaint is their system would not take my visa credit card for some reason or another. Had to use another card. I would use themn again."

"Ordered two CPU coolers on 1 Aug w/free shipping. Package arrived today, much quicker than I expected. I've ordered from this company a couple of times previously with no problems. Each time my package arrived in less than 5 days which I think is pretty good for any company, and their prices are very competitive."
