"DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! Bait and switch company. Beware of shady up-selling. They promise to call you back to address concerns, they do not. They are in a big hurry to get you off the phone in the first place. Very pushy and rude. Charged me more than $225 more than my original order total for dubious upgrades that they still have not explained properly. As can be seen from numerous other online reviews about bestpricephoto.com, they must make most of their money on upsells by making incorrect assertions (which were false, I checked directly with the manufacturer) about factory included batteries in camera packages, etc. and then try to upsell you to more expensive items you don't need. It all starts with a bogus call about checking your mailing address. When I tried to cancel my order they put me on hold again and again and never picked back up. Their phone system eventually cuts you off. (I was cut off five times!) THIS APPEARS TO BE THEIR M.O., THEY MONITOR INCOMING PHONE NUMBERS AND IGNORE OR CUT OFF THOSE THEY DO NOT WANT TO TALK TO.
I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANY MERCHANDISE AND THEY HAVE YET TO REFUND ANY OF THE ALMOST $680 THEY CHARGED ME FOR MY $453.97 ORDER! THEIR 15 DAY GRACE PERIOD TO MAKE A REFUND HAS PAST. I NOW HAVE TO DISPUTE THIS CHARGE WITH MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY!
I don't know how they stay in business there in Brooklyn.
Watch for this pattern, this is how their scam works (you'll find this elsewhere on other rating services from other customers too):
!. You don't get an immediate confirmation for your online order.
2. You get a phone call with the caller ID blocked from them in a day or two.
3. They claim they are just checking on your mailing address.
4. They then try to bait and switch you into buying items you don't need like supposedly better batteries for your camera (while taking away the perfectly fine factory battery that comes with the camera), 6-year warranties, etc.
5. The price you are given never seems to add up.
6. They claim to quickly ship the merchandise so they can claim the order can't be cancelled.
7. If at any point after that you try to cancel your order, you get put on hold again and again and eventually you are cut off.

My Story:
I had to file a claim to my bank account for 1,008.98 in UNSHIPPED items.
My total order (placed on Sept 04) was for:
1 Canon EOS 5D Mark II
1 Canon Speedlite 580EX II, shoe mount flash
1 Canon BG-E6 Vertical Battery Holder Grip f/EOS 5D Mark II
1 5 year Ditigal Camera Warranty Up to $3000 PLATINUM
1 Extended Life LPE6 Lithium Ion Battery w/3 year replacement warranty 5hr
1 Deluxe Hard Diffuser for Canon 580 EX
TOTAL: $3,399.99
This company took forever to ship out items. Made excuses one after another.
They left this out of the FedEX box (BOX HAD NO EVIDENCE OF BEING TAMPERED WITH):
1 Canon Speedlite 580EX II, shoe mount flash
1 Deluxe Hard Diffuser for Canon 580 EX
1 5 year Ditigal Camera Warranty Up to $3000 PLATINUM
A total value of: $1,008.98
After placing a claim with my Bank account, they only refunded the Canon Speedlight + Deluxe Hard Diffuse totalling $508.99
They rebutted the Warranty, and the bank said they made this claim: "The merchant provided policy that was agreed to by you in terms of this charge." Which no such thing has been provided to Best Price Photo. My bank is currently sending this "policy" so that I may have it on file as now my claims just doesn't end at the bank.
Hopefully Best Price Photo, in their very best interest, will contact me IMMEDIATELY via the email they have on file for me after this has been posted, and refund the rest of my order that they never sent out. I will retract this statement, and destroy all documents regarding this matter.
I will not post on any other reviews site, and BestPricePhoto and I can part ways.

The customer service is responsive to reviews and does respond if there are any issues. I do recommend BestPricePhoto.com. They do bend over backwards to satisfy customers.
When I did express some dissatisfaction with them, they were quick to respond and solve any issues that I may have had. I will update this review further once I receive my camera."

I ordered camera on Saturday 4/13/13, Tue. 4/16 site showed still "In Process", I called, they tried to upsell me a better battery, before I could ask when camera would ship, they hung up on me. Today, 4/17, my credit card still not charged and still status still In Process, so I check reviews here. Not good, so felt I should nip this in the bud. I canceled my credit card (getting new card, BestPricePhoto won't be able to charge my card), and called to cancel my order. After a very brief call, the CSR confirmed my order canceled and hung up on me. I HOPE that is the end of it. I will pay more for my camera, but with a "known" reputable company."
"Iniitally, I went to order online, which was easy, but I had a technical question, so I called them instead. Other than being on hold for a few minutes, the person I spoke with handled my question very well. He was extremely knowledgeable about the camera and accessories I was ordering. I completed the order on the phone. I had a follow-up issue right after the order was placed and they were very accommodating in handling it.The package arrved when expected."
"I ordered a camera March 24 and received a confirmation email stating that my order will be processed in 24 - 72 hours. Long story short, an unanswered email, and 2 phone calls later I get my camera brandnew and in excellent condition on April 9th. I was a little nervous at first because of the delay, the reaction by the csr during the second phone call, and also the fedex site said the label was damaged and had to be replaced making me wonder about the condition of the package, but it did arrive well packed and perfect condition. The shipment was only a few days, the processing took the longest but overall I'm happy. Just wishing I had it the Friday before for my photoshoot. Neither I or the csr were ever rude to each other. He was a pretty nice guy. They just need to set better expectations for their customers. Even when I received the email about the tracking information the top of the email stated their emails have a 48 hour delay. Not true."
