"I went to the Fort Worth Location to shop for a helmet. I picked out a helmet of my liking and was told that the size I needed was not in stock. The staff member told me that he could order the helmet for me in my size and have it shipped to my house. I paid the staff member in cash and he gave me a receipt for 2 gift cards and a jacket that I also purchased. The staff member explained that he had to complete the purchase with gift cards and that was the reason why the gift cards were on the receipt. I asked him how I would know that I purchased the helmet if it was not on the receipt. He stated he did not have a way to print a special order receipt and that I could take pictures of his computer screen to show proof of purchase. I spent $770 on my purchases and it was very concerning leaving the store without a receipt. I also think that the stores should be more transparent about discounts for military. My wife had called before I went and asked about military discounts and spoke to an employee on the phone that stated he would give me a 10% discount if I came to the store. After picking the items I asked the employee about the 10% discount and he then explained that none of the items I had picked were eligible for the 10% discount. I wish the employee had explained that the 10% discount was subject to particular eligible items that may or may not be eligible when my wife talk to the employee on the phone. It made me feel that the employees were being deceptive with me and made me question them being deceptive. This is a terrible sales tactic if that is what was intended. Promise me something to get me in the store and then when I arrive tell me you can’t do that. Seemed kind of shady to me."
