"I brought my KTM 690 Enduro R rear wheel in for a tire change without realizing that the sprocket and spacers weren't actually attached to the wheel. (Yeah, I like riding, not wrenching. I'll regret this fact someday when I get a flat 100 miles from civilization, but it hasn't happened yet.) Anyway, I caught the friendly staff in a moment that they weren't terribly busy and found myself engaged in a very enjoyable conversation with them. As we were chatting away, I was fondling my sprocket, and inadvertently removed it. One of the spacers jumped out while I wasn't looking and decided to stay behind when I left. The attentive staff found it later, somehow figured out who the owner of this random part was, and called me to let me know where it was. Quite impressive.
