"Ordered helmet. Staff was helpful"

"I went to Cycle Gear to shop for a replacement full-face helmet. The one I had, an expensive one I had bought that store about a year before, was the modular kind of full-face helmet where the chin rotates up. That chin began unlocking while riding and not only was it unsafe but it soured me on having a modular full-face helmet. I wanted a non-modular full-face helmet. One where there was no chance of the chin unlocking while riding. I didn't bring my modular helmet to the store because I didn't think I would be able to return it after almost a year. The store clerk kept asking me about my modular helmet and said that if it was defective I could return it. I was stunned that I could do that after nearly a year. I live just a few blocks from the store and, on the urging of the clerk, I went home to get the helmet. The clerk tested the latching of the chin on the modular helmet and quickly saw that it was not safe. He offered a replacement. Not only did I get a replacement, non-modular full-face helmet, but the clerk also swapped over the Sena 20s communicator (which I also had bought at that store) for me. I was over the top happy that I could feel safe while riding again. Cycle Gear solved my problem by making good a defective helmet and not a penny out of my pocket. Thank you."
