sent damaged shoes, charged for return shipping

"I was sent damaged shoes, and I was charged for the return label. I absolutely despise companies that are like this. THEY made a mistake and made ME pay for it. I emailed multiple times and never got a single response. I would not recommend it at all, plenty of other companies actually have good customer service, so go elsewhere. The only email I ever got, I wasn't told I would be the one paying for the return, despite the return reason being damaged shoes."

Very bad online shopping experience

"Ordered some slippers ($100) as a Christmas gift. When they were a bit too small, I sent back for an exchange. 3 weeks later I wait 1.5 hours on hold to speak with someone. They tell me they had received the return but exchange still in process. They say the exchange should take another 5-10 business days to ship. Another 3 weeks goes by. I call again (45 minutes) . This time they say nothing has happened and will need to authorize the exchange. At this point I've had enough and ask for a refund. They say OK. Another 5-10 business days to process the refund. 3 more weeks go by. I call again (30 minutes). I start to explain that I tried to return something I bought in December but the rude lady cut me off and says no exchanges or refunds after 30 days and hangs up.
I still have not received a refund. Don't shop here. There are so many more better places to choose from.

I love Dillard's

"I have been shopping at Dillard's for years and I've never had a problem with them. Customer service has always been great. They have what I'm looking for that appeals to today's style, selection, and choice. No matter what or who you're shopping for Dillard's always comes through for me. I hope for my entire family at Dillard's, so from 2 years old up to 50 years old They always have what I need. #sweepstakes"

Cancellation

"I ordered to pairs of shoes from Dillard’s for my sister’s party next week.... A pair of Michael Kors for $124 and Lucky Brand for $90, I received a confirmation and was anxiously awaiting their arrival only to receive an email stating that it was canceled with no definite reason after calling Dillards, I called my bank and they are no error messages to why this happened. I called Dillards back and they couldn’t tell me, now I have a $230 pending charge on my account that I have to wait several days to fall off. I will never order from this site again, customer service ****. Extremely disappointed "

Charged $30 from refund after they sent the wrong item

"They sent wrong item. Withheld $20 ($10 for return shipping and $10 for a restocking fee) from my refund plus made me pay the original shipping fee of $10. Told me there was nothing they could do about it. (They could have. They chose not to.)
Buyer beware.
Do not order from Dillards online.

"I was in need of some undergarments... Specifically a Bra. Diann Angelino went ABOVE & BEYOND to help me get a perfect & comfortable fit!! She was very kind, informative, understanding & helpful. I am a **** woman & have never been "fitted" before. What an amazing experience!! "

Horrible customer service!

"Evan, Nora, and Chritina. At the Wellington Green Mall in West Palm Beach, FL. My husband a 31 year Naval officer and I have never experienced such lack of customer service. To treat people at any price range, but at these prices like garbage is no wonder these store are closing. A manager with a ridiculous little pony tail telling us that they would not sell or correct an item is unheard of. To talk to us like garbage was so disrespectful. That fact that my husband fort for this kid to live and have the rights to his freedom and for the lack of respect should not be tolerated!!"

Oversold online then cancelled my order!

"I ordered from Dillards online during the Black Friday sales. Five days later, they cancelled my order because they could not fulfill it. Now I am without my order and I have lost out on the sales at the other department stores. I will never shop Dillards online again! They should not be allowed to sale what they do not have in stock."

Jill Nicholson, Rachel Van Huff, and Monica Bayer are the three most horrific human beings you can imagine.

"Jill Nicholson, Rachel Van Huff, and Monica Bayer are the three most horrific human beings you can imagine. With their lack of decent personality, they roam the store on a not very impressive high horse in which treating employees and customers with respect, courtesy, civility, and reverence is beneath them. Rather, they focus their attention more on belittling, degrading, and bullying their employees and completely disregarding the customers.

Replace these three individuals with the company and find employees to have less resentment and more sales as they will feel respected and worth what they are being compensated for, for their time.
Monica Bayer is busy but not so busy that she has to be condescending and rude to employees who encounter her. She is unpleasant and there are many other people more qualified who would be more efficient, respectful, and cost effective. Replace her and have a more efficient running business. Replace Jill Nicholson and Rachel Van Huff with actual leaders who have the traits and qualities that make up good leadership. This entails integrity, sociability, and respectfulness towards the employees. Employees will not grant leadership to those individuals who treat them poorly and have their own agendas at heart.
Hire a district manager who can bring passion and authenticity to the table and you will see the store sales rocket through the sky.
These individuals are replaceable so replace them.

Needs extreme updating!!

"First of all, Dillards is the only department store I know of that charges shipping! Most stores will waive shipping if you order over a certain amount. Secondly, don't ever loose your receipt because you will not be able to return anything. They don't have the capabilities of locating your purchase using your credit card like every other store I know of in the country! Thirdly, I made a purchase and two days later the item was half price and they would not give me a price adjustment. Again, every store out there will give a price adjustment within 2 weeks. Absolutely horrible customer service and I understand the employees are miserable working there. Shop Nordstroms, Macy's, anywhere else if you want a pleasant up-to-date shopping experience!"

Your order will be cancelled after it has been placed !

"After taking my time and placed an order online and completed the payment, I received two order confirmation emails, which i was happy ! I've been waiting for the item to be delivered for a week, when i finally found out that the second email contains a tiny line, stating "your order has been canceled"!
I had to read the email twice to really see that fine print!
I thing it was done all on purpose, and just wasted my time.
Never will check this website again.

"I went into the Dillard's at my local mall to look for a prom dress. The customer service was wonderful the first time I went in. A young girl (Christine maybe?) was working and was incredibly helpful and sweet, and actually recommended that I try on the dress I ended up falling in love with. But I wanted to go in a second time to try it on again before I purchased it. At first there was no one in the department to help, but then another woman who was actually supposed to be taking a break came and helped me. I think it was very nice of her to help, but she seemed very distracted and tried to make me try on other dresses than the one i loved even after I told her I wasnt interested. But finally I ended up buying the dress, and because they didn't have my size in stock it was shipped to my home.
The shipping was super quick, only about 3 days, but when I received my package I was incredibly disappointed. Not only was the wrapping filthy and covered in dirt, the box that my dress was in was crushed and ripped. Usually that wouldn't have bothered me as long as my purchase wasn't damaged, but when I opened the box I really got angry. Not only was the dress missing beading (most likely caused by the mishandling) it was the wrong size! I paid over $400 dollars for a dress, and they failed to give me the correct one, and then damage the one I did received. I called in and they said I could just bring in the incorrect dress, and have the right size ordered (although it says the right size on the receipt), hopefully my dress will come in time for me to get it hemmed. If there is any damage to the new dress I will return that one and just find another, different dress, mostly likely not from Dillard's!

"I ordered a nice glass whiskey decanter from Dillard's online store. The experience was certainly not worth the effort. I placed the order on January 4th, 2015. The item was labeled as 'in stock' and I checked the Dillard's website to determine how long it would take for an 'in stock' item to ship. It said two days and one disclaimer said it could take three days. On January 9th, the order was still registering as 'in stock' and 'processing.' I contacted their customer service to inquire why it was still processing after 5 days. Their customer service automatic response said they tried to get back to inquiries within 24 hours but sometimes it took as long as 48 hours. I never heard back, ever. The item finally shipped out on January 12th. I have still not heard back from their customer service. It is now January 14, 2015. They're not worth doing business with, I would not recommend them. "

"I went in store to pick up some different appliances for our kitchen and was quickly greeted by an employee who went out of their way to see that I was satisfied. I asked a lot of questions about different blenders and coffee machines and had every one answered thoroughly. The employee also informed me of a discount that I qualified for which ended up saving me around $40.

I usually don't write reviews but found this site and wanted to start after having such a great experience. I will definitely be shopping at my local dullards more often!
