"I sent in two Anton Bauer batteries to be re-celled April of 2009 I got them back a few weeks later but one of them was not holding a charge so I sent one anton bauer battery back December of 2009 and as of this date nothing I have called numerous times and I get the same song and dance"we are waiting for our overseas distributor" well I have been waiting a long time and have realized I will never get my battery back, batteryrefill is nothing but a joke and all they do is rip people off.

"Awful experience.
Fist sent my near dead battery to them in march of 2009. After almost 4 weeks and several inquiries they inform me that my circuit board is dead and they must order me a new one. After a couple more weeks go buy I am told the technician is having difficulties with the battery. I have my battery shipped back to me 2 MONTHS after i submitted it. When I receive it it only holds a 50% charge. Since I was leaving the country the DAY it arrived I held on to it for the next 7 months. Upon my return I sent it back for warranty service. After a couple of weeks of waiting I am told that the circuit board is bad and they must order a new one. After not so politely pointing out to them we already went through this process a year ago, my battery magically is shipped back a couple of days later. It held a 25% charge. Not only that but they shipped it to my old address which they confirmed as having been change once i notified them. After much arguing they refused to give me a refund. I send the battery back to them AGAIN for warranty work. Another month of waiting and again they ship my battery to my old address. This time i think its lost as the manager of the apartment cant locate it and batteryrefill haven't received it back. They failed to repair my battery at LEAST twice, most likely all 3 times. They wasted $90 of my money and several months of my time. I have never written an online review before but this was such a horrible experience I had to share. "
"I originally had my batt recycled in Jan 2008. After several weeks, I got it back again, and it worked only so-so--I didn't pursue it because I stopped using the computer as a portable--then in April 2009, I wanted to use the battery, and now it was totally dead, so Battery Refill offered to repair the battery under warranty, which was nice since I believe it was over the one year limit. Batt comes back several wks later, and again, didn't hold a charge that well, so I bought another laptop. Now I am going to either sell or give away my old laptop, so I just replaced this bad battery with a new one, what I should have done in the first place."
"It took a very long time, but Battery refill diagnosed a problem with the battery beyond just low cells, waited for the appropriate replacement part, did not charge for the repair, and returned the battery in excellent condition working well. There were various problems trying to pay them because, apparently, they were under review, but they did not charge my credit card until they shipped the battery. I had considerable correspondence with them over this by e-mail. Their replies were always prompt and courteous. I think this is an honest conscientious company but maybe a bit scatterbrained. I have used them before with no incident, good results, and I will use them again. "
"I have recently placed two orders with battery refill - the first for a laptop battery for my Winbook, the second for Hilti power tool battery.
I received an email with US Post shipping label attachment on the next day. Then, I shipped out two batteries together on the following day.
I must admit I'm a bit concerned by the reviews I've read here. Unfortunately, the manufacturer Winbook is no longer in business and I couldn’t find a brand new replacement battery for my laptop. I found one from Ebay and I tried to check if it was really a brand new. It was brand new but seller said it was old over stock items and was selling as-is. If I was able to find a brand new battery pack from someone, I might have ordered from them (depending on the price).
Before placing the order (about 4:40 PM) I called to ask some questions about the reviews here, phone answered promptly by an actual person which was not very common from online stores. Anyway, they said they have been in business since 2003 and completed over 70000 orders so far. I must agree that people are much more likely to complain (legitimately or not) than they are to take their time to compliment a person or a company. That's just human nature -- people expect things to go well and work as advertised so when they do they generally don't report it.
It took about three weeks to receive the batteries back. The battery running time is excellent. I really didn’t want to give up my laptop and I am very happy that I can keep using my Winbook laptop and Hilti power drill.
In any case, I plan to test this battery thoroughly to confirm that it has it's full rated capacity of 4,400 mAH (I'm an electronics tech). So far, so good -- it came with a partial charge, the computer recognizes it, and it seems to have accepted a full charge. I'll report back after I have a chance to check it out more.
Bottom line: I'm very impressed with the results, responsive customer support, and reasonable prices. If the battery holds up I will order from them again.

"I had an IBM T43 OEM laptop battery refilled by these guys. The original battery was at 60% capacity and I wanted better capacity. The guarantee of 20-40% more than the OEM battery sounded great.
The refill arrived and wouldn't hold any more than a 50% charge. After multiple phone calls trying to get this resolved, they finally called me back and I asked for a refund. They convinced me to send the battery back and they would refill it again. I sent it back.
After not hearing anything from them for several weeks, I called repeatedly and sent email to them. I also got the "out of stock" excuses you can read in the other posts. A month and a half later they sent me the battery with a second refill. It degraded in about about a week. Performance was even worse than the first.
I then asked for my original cells to be returned to the battery, as they say they will do on their web site. Hey, at least 60% is better than nothing. I had to pay shipping for the return, AND they deducted $10 for the original shipping costs when they put through the refund. So now I'm out $20 and I still don't have working battery.
They said they would ship me my original battery but it won't work like it used to. Quote: "Your battery was dead upon arrival from the begginning or else you would not have sent in the battery to us for a refill." Obviously they didn't even test it. 60% wasn't great, but it wasn't dead either.
They also said they would send my battery back in 2 business days. That was almost a month ago. So not only am I out $20, I don't even have a 60% battery. "We will send back your battery tomorrow" is their latest promise. Right. This has been going on for more than 5 months now.
Don't buy from these guys. It feels like a garage operation, no one ever answers the phone, the 20-40% guarantee is electrically impossible for some types of high-capacity batteries (like mine), and you're lucky if they answer your email.
A great idea - but it's a scam. Don't get suckered. I wish I had done more research on them first. Save yourself some grief and just buy a new third party battery.
UPDATE 3/8/2010 - It's been 2 weeks now since they promised "We will send back your battery tomorrow". I've received nothing. This is further demonstration that they will tell you anything and this is not a legitimate business."
"Prompt shipping, excellent warranty response. Problem is the Dell replacement batteries don't last. Ordered 1-24-09, replaced on 4-17-09, replaced again on 11-18-09. Failed again on 02-14-10. They refused replacement as it is beyond 1 year warranty. Had a similar problem a year and a half earlier. That warranty replacement lasted a year. Time for real Dell battery, twice the price but they are good for 2 1/2 years or so."
"This is a very bad company. To avoid other bad reviews they are now listed as batteryrebuild.com but have the same website layout! Stupid. The owner is Kay Choi. There address is 739 E. Cedar St. Ontario. The owner won't take any phone calls regardless if they charge your card immediately or if they don't ship your batter.
They were arrested with printing fake express mail stamps to ship customers orders. If you request more information on this fraudulent company, please send an email to ****@****"
"They returned my laptop battery with NO change in performance after their "repair." Their subsequent "warranty repair" returned the battery unable to even take a charge. They NEVER answer the phone for Customer Service calls -- and NEVER return CS messages. Their CS web page instructs you to e-mail them; then the return e-mail instructs you to go the CS web page -- and endless circle! Have ignored my request for a refund. Worst company I've dealt with next to my health insurance company. Hopefully, they will go out of business soon."
"I sent in two BRAND NEW batteries that had been sitting on the shelf for 6 years and are no longer available to be rebuilt. After a month of not having my phone calls returned I received the "rebuilt batteries." I am still trying to figure out if this was a joke. The batteries came back in pieces and the casings are destroyed. Considering these must slide into the handhelds they are now useless. They are so bad that no one else will be able to rebuild them either. Now the handhelds are useless since I cannot find new batteries anywhere.
These people NEVER answer the phone and NEVER call you back. I am filing a complaint with the local BBB. DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES!!!!!!!!!"
"I ordered my dead Macbook battery to be refilled by Battery Refill.com in October of 2008. I received a recelled battery in December, but the battery did not charge or operate the computer. I got a Return Merchandise Authorization and returned the battery.
It is now mid- September 2009, and I have not received my battery, my money back, or an explanation of why not.
Do not buy from this vendor, they are very flaky!"
"NEVER BUY FROM EBATTERY!
I ordered a battery from eBattery in November 2008. eBattery sent me a battery repacked in February 2009. Since it did not work I returned the battery. EBattery sent me another. It was still not working. EBattery offered me a refund (June 2009). I'm still waiting for (August 2009) and EBattery doesn't answer to my emails. What think about a so cheap dealer?
This is the last email I received from eBattery on June 18:
"We're so terribly sorry that you did not receive your refund yet. This has been a long process and we apologize. We'll go ahead and send your order to our cpa accountants department to take care of this matter asap. It'll take up to two weeks to get it reviewed, signed by our ceo, and mailed out to you. We're terribly sorry that our service did not work out for you. Thank you for your time and have a great day!

"This company is a scam it took my payment and promised at 14 day turn around after 6 weeks the informed me my battery cells were out of stock and awaiting further supplies from the supplier after 5 montha recieved an email statingitem was being dispatched. item never arrived and they never respond to emails if you are lucky to through on the phone soneone promises to ring back but never does. WARNING AVOID IS POSSIBBLE"
"My overall experience with this company was good. The company did exactly what they said they would do. They didn't charge my credit card until the battery was ready to ship, sent return labels, ect. My only bad comment was that it took so long, but they emailed me and informed me of the delay. The battery is working good and I would definitely use this company again. Thank you Baattery Rebuild. My daughter is very happy."
"This was my second dealing with Battery Refill. The first went so well I had no concerns about my second, a re-celling of the secondary battery for my Compaq Evo N610c. Unfortunately, in this case Battery Refill had a supply problem with the cells required, and it took many months (4) for them to accomplish the process. I only received status updates when I sent e-mail querries, though these were always courteous and detailed. When the re-celled battery did arrive it has proved hard to 'initialize' to deliver its full expected capacity; I have followed the instructions to fully charge/discharge the battery many times, but the battery still is not delivering its full (theoretical) performance. I am still in the warrantee period on the refill, but will probably just stick with what I have, rather than go through another prolonged return/repair or refund cycle. The re-celled battery is working much better than it was when I sent it, in terms of charge life, so I have received value from the re-celling. A strong plus for Battery Refill is that my credit card was not charged for the re-celling until it was actually shipped back to me."
