"To reiterate what dchanin said, I have had the same problem as him, they have my battery, since oct 4th. I have a confirmation email to prove it. I though have received NO replys to my many emails and phone calls. Their automated answering service is a joke. I am not Happy with these folks. A paypal dispute has been opened. I am escalating the dispute if my dispute isn't addressed by them. They still have my battery though, and its for a Amrel Rocky RT 686 EX Laptop, and those are rare batteries to find. I wouldn't recommend them. "
"It has been two months and "Battery Refill" aka eBattery has not returned my battery. They lie to me and tell me the work is done. They have stopped answering their phone. I have repeatedly asked for a refund and for a return of my battery and I get no response. They have done the same to my mother who ordered at the same time."
"This company is the absolute worst I have ever tried to buy PC hardware from. Their website said they had a refurbished Panasonic CF50 battery available and they would ship it out and I could return the old one in a supplied return package. I paid them by PayPal but they never sent me any order acknowldgement! I made up the invoice number because they never sent me one! Also, they never answer the phone, call back after voicemails or reply to emails. Two weeks after they had been ignoring my emails and phone calls they called to tell me that they had obtained a battery to send me. I told them it was too late and they should have replied to me earlier. I told them I mno longer needed this battery and wanted a refund. The man kept pestering me asking where I had found one and "how much it cost." I refused to answer the irreleavant questions and reiterated that since they had sent me nothing and not replied to my inquires, I wanted to cancel the order and wanted a full refund. That was 3 weeks ago. When I looged in to my PayPal account, I was flabbergasted to find that they had not issued me the refund. SO i initiated a PayPal dispute and PayPlal is giving them until December 8 to reply to my dispute claiming non-receipt. Don't SEND THEM YOUR MONEY! They are not honest. They should have refunded my money three wekes ago and because they failed to do so I have to wait and see if PayPal will refund my money."
"I sent my old power tool battery to be recharged. It took about 2 weeks to get it back and it works excellent. I saved at least $80 by this service. Battery Refill is a good idea. I don’t have to worry about not fitting onto my tool."
"I needed a replacement battery for my Gateway tablet. First, I contacted Gateway. They sell battery for my tablet at $145 and it is not even Gateway brand. They only sell batteries from some other company’s website. I don’t understand why Gateway doesn’t sell or manufacture batteries for their own laptop models. I tried search and I found Batteryrefill from Google. Batteryrefill.com price is $89 but I need to return my old core. It was the lowest price I was able to find. So, I ordered a battery. I received a package about a week later. Battery works great. It is better than I expected. If you have Gateway tablet, I highly recommend this company."
"Let me start off by saying I didn't really want to do a refill to begin with, but my laptop is both old and rare, so I was unable to find a new battery that FOR SURE fit it. Many came close, but no one I talked to could 100% guarantee that a new $130 battery would work for me, and I was in a hurry. So when I saw that batteryrefill.com would overhaul my battery in 7-10 business days, I decided that was a risk worth taking. At least the battery electronics would work with the laptop.
Ordering went easily enough, and shipping my battery to them was easy. They confirmed they received it on September 25th. After that, things went downhill.
After 9 business days, I called them to find out the status. I had a trip I needed the battery for coming up in 3 days. I was told that unfortunately, they did not have the replacement batteries in stock, and were expecting a shipment "any day now." Needless to say I was somewhat upset by this, but you know, crap happens, so I let it slide and had to slink around a foreign country trying to find plugs to plug my laptop in to.
I got back from my trip on October 15th, fully expecting to find a battery in my mailbox, and did not find one. I called again, and after several attempts where no one answered, I finally got through. They STILL didn't have batteries, but "we're expecting them on Friday (Oct 17)." Okay, my next trip isn't until November 6th, I can wait.
The beginning of November rolls around, and I STILL have nothing. At this point, reaching them has become impossible. I sent them email. I left voice mail. Nothing. I then looked them up here and was like... Oh CRAP, there goes my battery and my money. I keep calling, and eventually get the same guy I got the last two times I was able to talk to someone. Seems competent, but after he reports that my battery was "in process" and should have been done already, he wanders off to talk to a tech and the phone disconnects. That's the last time I ever was able to reach anyone.
All that said, however, I DID receive a surprise. On November 12th, I got an email saying my battery had shipped, and the next day it was in my mailbox. Color me surprised, after having read all these reviews. Naturally, I was still skeptical, and fully expected it to not work (or maybe not even have been worked ON).
However, it does work, so I am barely satisfied with the company. They REALLY REALLY REALLY need to work on their communication. BBB has listed them as an F, and despite the fact that I did eventually get my product, I have to agree. It took nearly 2 months, when they claimed 2 weeks. If I'd gotten bi-weekly (or even weekly) status updates by email, I don't think I'd have been as frustrated.
So, in summary, they ARE capable of doing what they advertise. However, it may well take a LOT longer than they say. Quality of their work is what one would expect--battery cases were not meant to be opened, so you can see where they used a Dremel and screwdriver. But once the battery is in the laptop, you cannot see it in normal use, so that doesn't really bother me."
"I ordered a battery for my laptop on June 26,2008.
Canceled the order the first week of July because they couldn't deliver until the end of August. The person I spoke to said "no problem we will credit your card for $79.00. I have since had conversations with several of their people promising my money back and four emails promising the same. Paypal resolution center closed my case in October and Discover Card rescinded my temporary refund today. I found this web site today and want to warn everyone that this company, if it even exists should be charged with theft."
"I have been calling this company for a month to get my battery shiped. every time they say is being shiped in aa couple of days but I still dont have my battery. its been more than two months. AVOID THIS COMPANY they take your money but wont send you the battery."
"Here's the story. I ordered a new laptop battery. It didn't come for two months. I got no
unsolicited notification of any delay. After about two weeks, I sent an email and got a reply that
it had been back ordered. After about two months I called and found out that the original shipment
came in and was defective, so they were waiting for another. At that point they said the shipment was
due in a few weeks. I decided to cancel and get a refund. This is where the real "fun" starts :-(.
I placed the orginal order April 28th. It is now early November, and I still haven't gotten my refund.
I call every 2-4 weeks since the cancellation. The first time they were baffled why I hadn't
gotten a refund, but they would get right on it and I'd have it in 4 work days or so. The next time they said
they were having trouble with credit card refunds (although they had no trouble charging me the
very day I placed the order). They said the best way to get the refund was to use paypal. I don't have
a paypal account, so I requested a check. I said if I decided to get a paypal account, I would call them
before the check would be sent. After no check, I called and was told they were waiting for my paypal acoount.
I noted that wasn't the agreement. They said paypal still would be best. Checks have to be approved
by the accounting supervisor and signed by the CEO. The next time I got the same story about paypal, with the added
information that the CEO was so rich, he doesn't come around much. The following call I was lucky, I got
the customer service supervisor (Luis, x12). He would get this taken care of. The accounting supervisor wasn't there,
but he found him at another office, and the CEO was with him. So a fax would be sent
with the pertinent information, allowing a check to be written, signed and mailed. Still, here I sit
writing this in Novemeber, wondering where my check is.
Too bad I didn't check this site or the BBB site (which gives them an F rating) before I decided to buy.

Disclaimer - The data above is basically correct, although I may not have the exact number of calls right.
However all the events happened (and more), in more or less the order stated.
PS - If anyone from BatteryRefill reads this, it would be nice if you would send my refund. If you are
more competent than those responsible for not sending my refund, you should be able to figure out who I am
from the information provided above."
"DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
I have a Flybook that I want to put on ebay. It has a shot battery so I decided to get it refilled.
A quick timeline:
March 28th - placed and despatched order
May 8th - email apologising for delay
June 5th - battery arrived. It looks good. But it only charges to 49%. I charge/discharge over 20 times - only half the cells are working.
Late June - I send back the battery for refill
Nov 3rd (today) - my battery arrives back. It is badly glued around the edges and the contents so ill-fitting that I cannot even put it on my laptop to test it. The battery case is scratched and chipped (and not during transit, it was packed well).
Just one of many disgruntled customers it seems. I don't know of any other alternatives, but I still can only recommend:
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY"
"My temper is running medium-high with Batteryrefill.com. This is the fourth battery that I have had them refill. The first three were OK, I only had to call a couple of times for status, but the batteries were returned within a month. It is now two and a half months since I have sent in the last one. I called two weeks after I got an email stating they had received it, and that they were waiting for parts that would be in at the end of the week… Since then, I have been calling once or twice a week about the status and get the response (pick one at random): 1) we are waiting for parts, 2) it’s being assembled or 3) it’s being tested and will be shipped by Friday. This morning I talked to Luis, the production manager(?) and he told me it was complete and being packed to be shipped today and that I would receive an email “shortly” with the tracking number. I called late in the day and got the usual answering machine, which I suggested that I was calling the Better Business Bureau and Merrill Lynch about credit card action against them. Within an hour I received a call from Batteryrefill wanting to know what my problem was and was told that the battery was still in “stage three” --- whatever that is (pick #1,2,or 3 from above). After I told him that I had called Eddie’s Cell phone and talked to Luis, he agreed that maybe they could ship it today so that I could have it on Friday --- we’ll see what happens!!! Phone numbers that work sometimes but are usually busy: 1-***-***-****, 1-***-***-****, 1-***-***-**** or 1-***-***-**** --- tech support is extension 2 and Luis the production manager is extension 12. Eddie’s (sales mgr?) cell phone is ***-***-**** and he usually answers. You’d better use number blocking so they don’t totally ignore your call!!! Good luck!"
"I purchased a battery for my computer in November 2007. The battery broke apart in August and the cells fell out. I called them. Since then they have been difficult to deal with. They never sent the paperwork to send the battery back. My computer has a problem that won't allow me to be without a battery. They told me that that was my problem so I bought a new battery else where. I have spent 3 months trying to reach them to find out where my paper work is to see if they will honor the warranty. I get answering machines or stuck in a loop. There has been no response to my e-mails. The battery is now dead from sitting around. I did reach someone today and they sent me the paper work. The attitude of the individual I spoke with was very unprofessional. They were so professional and ease to reach when I first bought the battery."
"DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. It is either the worst business in the world or a complete fraud. Calling the support line does nothing. In dozens of calls I have never gotten a human. I've left messages but never gotten a return call. The emails (four) I've received indicate that the company is waiting for batteries to arrive or to clear customs. These messages are not be be believed. It has been nine weeks and the batteries have not yet arrived. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY."
"I’ve been looking for replacement batteries for my Segway quite some time. The Segway company discontinued Nimh battery packs in 2006 and started selling Li-ion battery packs only. A brand new NiMh battery pack was only about $400 in 2005, and I was able to get a pair of battery packs at $800. $800 still very expensive but they are now only selling Li-ion battery packs and the price for pair is $1700. They are unbelievably unreasonably expensive. I don’t think my Segway itself is not even worth more than $1700. It’s simply crazy. Anyhow, I found battery refill service from Ebay and I spoke to a sales person from the phone number posted on their ebay item (it’s not very common to find phone number from ebay listing as you might already know). I decided to try out their exchange service.
They shipped me a pair of refilled battery packs and I received the package in about 2 weeks. I charged them over night and I tried on the next day. I probably rode about 30 minutes in full speed. I guess I have had been gliding 6-7 miles and I still had three bars remaining (third bar was not even blinking). I am very satisfied with the battery performance. In my opinion, battery refill service is an excellent idea in many ways. I saved over $1000 and the refilled batteries work much better than when they were new, exactly they advertised. They will also refurbish my dead batteries and send them to someone else for good use instead of me trashing them.
I am thinking about doing refill service for my laptop battery and power tool batteries. I will probably have better idea when I try them out for laptop and power tool batteries. My experience was good one but it was for the Segway. I will keep update how the service goes with laptop and power tools.

"I ordered a battery for my Gateway laptop. I received a battery with return shipping label in about a week. I can tell the battery I received is recelled by looking at the seam on the side. It locks into my laptop no problems. Most importantly, it lasts very very long time. I am happy with their recelled battery. I am surprised that they have so many bad feedbacks here. I guess my laptop battery model is not part of their problem battery list, but I am not sure. If you have a Gateway M series tablet, I highly recommend this company. Other batteries? I guess you should call them first."
