"ebay and paypal are not covering what they promised for their fraud protection!
I won a bid on a camcorder from a "power seller"
oleg_media_electronics , with a $2000 fraud protection from paypal. It turned out that oleg_media_electronics is a fraud and ebay suspended his auctions without letting any bidders know that they have been dealing with a fraudulant seller. ebay delist all infomation regarding oleg_media_electronics and his listing so that no one can have access to the infomation they need for file for a complaint/claim.
I've filed a claim for $715.00 with paypal, but
getting only $200.00 back because oleg_media_electronics has insuficient fund in his account!!! WHAT HAPPEN TO THE $2000.00 FRAUD PROTECTION? SO BEWARE! I WILL FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION ON EBAY AND PAYPAL REGARDING THEIR BAD TRADE PRACTICE."
"1. eBay is a great place to find some obscure things, and maybe even find a good deal on something, but for the most part, it's just a bunch of overpriced stores.
2. Basically everything on eBay is paid with PayPal, which seems all well and good, but looking more deeply, I find it a bit annoying. First off, eBay charges you a fee to sell online, then they charge you a percentage of the winning bid. Fine, that's good. But PayPal, which is owned by eBay, then charges you another percentage on the incoming payment from the person that just bought your item. So, you're basically paying the same company twice to sell your goods, which, in my humble opinion, is crap.
3. The feedback concept is a good idea, but not put into practice very well. Having somewhat low feedback, I find it difficult to gain any. Some people just simply don't leave it, even after you give them good feedback, and I believe others, such as new people, just don't know how to do it or something. It would be much easier if eBay made it mandatory to leave feedback within a certain amount of time after the payment is received or the item is shipped, it would solve a lot of problems.
Edit: I placed another order and accidentally bid $2000+ dollars on a video, obviously an error. So I got on LiveChat and they were no help whatsoever in retracting the bid, so I ended up paying $7 more than what it went for in several other auctions. eBay is just pathetic....

"I like shopping on eBay and find it a great time saver.
For the less technical savvy, eBay's mailing address is as follows (found very easily on Mapquest.com)
Ebay Inc

"It's a good place to sell things for the most part. My complaint with them is they don't show your listing until hours later but they don't credit you for the time lost."
"Ebay and Paypal have the lousiest customer service, they reply to your mails without reading or understanding them. You would get no answers at all.
Their buyer protection is a big farce as they dont verify anything in their verification process only make you wait for months without actually doing anything.
They asked me to return the pack to the seller by registered post and then ruled it against me saying they dont accept Italian registered post (only USPS & Royal mail;maybe they expected me to go to UK or US to post the pack) as Italian post doesnt provide addresses in their online tracking; this I found after 4 months of countless emails(time wastage)
Loss of time, energy and money

"Um... Just read my email to ebay. I think it speaks for itself.
Message: I am SO irritated with ebay. Not only do you make it
complicated for me to contend with such simple matters as this, you also spend
a phenomenal amount of effort answering emails that explain the details
of resolving such issues. I'm sure that ebay would be a decent way of
making some extra money if you made it into a fulltime job. However,
spammers and wholesale salespeople have come into play recently, and
ebay is becoming the great e-flea market of electronic auctioning. There
was a time that ebay drew interest from people trying to make a little
money and looking for good deals. Now it's next to impossible to find
the site worth using unless you're equipped with a deal-searching and
hungry roaming bot.
I've sold the same item twice within the last 2 weeks and I have been
dealing with 2 different crooks. I can smell it from a mile away now
because I've been ripped off on ebay in the past. Still, ebay allows
these accounts to expire or be cancelled, yet you still hold me
accountable for the auction fees. In fact, I have a bill for both of these
transactions right now. Several times, I've been forced to pay fees with
the threat of account cancellation even though the transaction amounted
to nothing but technical errors where nothing ended up being bought nor
sold. If ebay even included something as common a convenient customer
service number, I would have surely been appeased.
Furthermore, I would like ebay's mailing address to someone that will
actually read my complaints. I'm tired of getting canned responses.
You guys have real issues here and you'd better be concerned because your
customers are going to start walking away. If you can't resolve my
problem and get my balance back to zero with a simple email, I'm going to
have to seriousy consider the value of dealing with ebay again. It's
time for ebay to either grow up or fall on its face with the rest of the
dot-com bubble burst. Thank you.
