On top of that I had to return my item because it was defective. Still awaiting refund from this fiasco. Two thumbs down. "

On 06/18/2013 I placed an important 2 day order - I did a live chat with eCost.com to verify stock and then later called to place the order and verified again. After placing the order, the next day I got an email saying my order is being backordered because they have no stock. I have seen other reviews that said the same thing about eCost, but I had to take a risk as this was the only company who said they had stock for sure."

"I was somewhat disturbed by the fact that the day before I ordered my computer, it was offered as a platinum deal at $200.00 less than I ended up paying for it the next day. When I spoke on line with a customer service rep, I was told that if I joined as a platinum member I would be able to purchase the computer for the same price the next day. So I paid for the platinum membership. Low and behold when I went to order it the next day it was $200. higher. I again spoke on line with customer service, who told me that I needed to sign in, place the computer in my shopping cart, then at check out the lower $200. platinum membership cost would show up. This did not happen. Now I am left wondering why I spent the extra dollars for the platinum membership."
