"We discovered the machine we ordered (listed as a Juki DDL-9000C-FMS-PBM on the site and on the invoice) was not what we received (-FMS-NB). Then, it seemed as though the software was set to run a PBM and would not execute a key function of the NB in our house. I called customer service, about the function but thought I'd start by mentioning that the model listed and the model we received were different. David (the CEO) called me back right away and as soon as I mentioned the model disparity, he immediately let me have it with a caustic stream of condescending diatribe that I can only think was employed to get me to turn tail and just go away. I figured I'd better drop the point about the item being the wrong one, and I moved on to the software issue. He said he didn't have time to look at machine manuals and didn't know software either. Well, the machine's made in China and the software guys are Chinese but living in LA and speak perfectly good English but it's the Chinese New Year and most of them would likely be on vacation so it might be hard to get an answer right away. Okay, that call took place on January 31. The holiday was already over. The call ended with David (the CEO) saying he'd call me back. I said I might be hard to reach that day; I was about to go to work. He'd leave a message. It's February 11 as I write this. David never called back. I've sent emails with descriptions of the problems and photos to help visualize them. No response. My wife has called and spoken to the customer service personnel who said David would call in about an hour. Nope. My wife sent an email to three separate addresses in the GoldStar organization, David, sales, and Nancy (pleasant woman) from customer service. Crickets. For the price of a Juki 9000C series machine, even the wrong model, we'd hoped for better than this. The machine is packed with potential and is worth pursuing, but NOT from this guy. No thanks, no GoldStar Tools for us."
