"Pathetic!
Opened the front glass and repair was over. The internal cable got cut.
Trashed my phone.
Thank you for product."
"The new part didn’t have a part number on it. Therefore must have been mixed up and was the wrong length. It was too short for the application I needed."
"Got it done but took longer than expected. The video guide should be the entire guide so that customers don’t have to go fishing for the video that they need. If a customer is given a set of tools, the video should match that not showing the extra tools that you would have to purchase separately. The adhesive display could use something more user friendly such as a more rigid surface or something like a case that overlaps the phone and the customer just needs to apply pressure to apply the adhesive.(like installing screen protectors) the kit should also contain alcohol strips."
"I did the full repair without shortcut and it went well. I did three of the 4 adhesives snap under the battery but other than that it went well. Definitely drain your battery before repairing in case something goes wrong at that step.
Writing on my phone right now with the new battery. "
"Purchased a brand new screen and received it damaged. Was told it was my fault and it wouldn't be replaced. I should have read all the other negative reviews about their quality control. Now I've wasted 220$ with this joke of a company. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY AND MOST DEFINITELY DO NOT BUY PIXEL/GOOGLE PHONES. "
"I got all the tools and materials that were listed. The suction tool, tweezers and plastic pics were sturdy and made the repair easy. The screws heads were the right sizes and shapes. And the replacement battery works extremely well."
"Quality products, would recommend
"
"Easy order and with good communication for a quality product."
"I ordered the gold color and received a beige one."
"What a great product! My kit came a day early, and I was able to easily replace my Steam Deck screen with an iFixit guide. Thank you!"
"I ordered a wifi card for my 2012 MacBook Pro,9,1., a cable from the card to the logic board, and an aluminum carrier,
There were three things about this order and the on-line installation video that bear commenting:
1. The aluminum carrier was not for my computer.
2. The flat cable from the card to the logic board was about .75 CM too long and could not be used.
3. This installation really requires some thin black tape to wrap around the card to secure that end of the cable.
I reused the old tape. At tirst wifi worked; now it is intermittent again."
"I just want to say thank you ifixit for providing all the right tools and battery that I needed for this battery replacement! This was my first time replacing a battery in a phone, and I’m glad those guides were there. They were a really big help, and I got the job done. I will definitely purchase from here in the future if I have other projects. Thanks! "
"I have a 2013 MacBook Air which works fine. Most of the stuff I do is just email and web browsing. My factory battery was end of life and wouldn’t last more than five minutes not on a power source. The new battery has given more flexibility, moving around the house and office. How to guide to swap out the batteries was perfect and took 10-15 minutes. I should’ve done this year ago and the battery started failing. "
"Every single thing that I needed to replace my phone battery in my Pixel 5. Had all the requisite parts and it was a breeze. Shipping was fast and the battery arrived quickly. Was a genuine OEM part from Google. Tremendously satisfied and will gladly order from iFixit again."
"The kit arrived quickly and in good condition. The step-by-step instructions were easy to follow and included plenty of pictures and notices to ensure the repair went successfully. However, the battery installation step could use more detail. I watched a YouTube video to see how someone else installed the battery. The two tips I'd add for this step are:
1) Pre-reinstall the left and right speakers to ensure there will be enough room for them after the battery is installed.
2) Remove the blue liner, then carefully tuck the battery under the speakers. "
