I opened my phone from the bottom to top, the absolute wrong way, and it cut the ribbon that connects the power to the screen. So even though I was able to replace the battery, now my phone is no longer working because I wasn't warned that I needed to open the phone left to right. At this point I just ordered a new phone online."

"It was a little hard at first figuring out the screen since the pick was stuck at the bottom of the box and I didn’t know but after that I was able to easily remove the the screen and get to the battery. The hardest thing was after I got the battery off the glue holding the battery was stuck to the chassie of the phone. I was able to get most of it off with some heat and some more scrapping. I did a test to make sure that the screen and battery worked by plugging both in and doing a check and everything worked. I put it all back together but got some adhesive on the outside of the phone."

The instructions for the Pixel 7a were very clear, like I said, but when I got to the end, it basically said "reverse the instructions."
