"While I really like the detail involved in the iFixit guides, the products they sell have been less than optimal. A screen I purchased for my iPhone SE has a milky white tint to it, and the touch screen doesn't respond well. The "glass" doesn't seem to have any resistance to scratches either... but that's conjecture. I also received a home button for the iPhone SE and they don't mention at all that it doesn't come with the TouchID. I expected a working TouchID since they were selling it for the iPhone SE, but was disappointed again.
Bottom line, great guides and tools. Substandard components."

"Received a cracked screen and when customer service was contacted they rejected my request for a replacement. They claimed that the item was damaged during installation. However, the hairline crack was not noticed until the device was powered on. It is very unlikely that the screen was cracked during installation. There are several other options that are less expensive. "
"The original battery exploded and went really hot on my face. Drained the battery to 5% and followed the instructions to the teeth but still happened. Anyways i still went ahead and put the ifixit battery and phone still worked great no problems whatsoever except for the burnt marks in the case. I suggest wearing mask and gloves when replacing battery. "
"I purchased a screen replacement from iFixit, because where else do you buy something like that that isn't eBay or Amazon Marketplace?
After replacing the screen the Touch ID no longer works. I have a suspicion that it's the cable on the new screen since it was out of place when I received it. I contacted ****@**** and also the ifixit twitter. Two full days have gone by with no response. Yes, I got the confirmation email as receipt that my request had been received. That's not a response.
I guess next time I'll try iCracked.com, even though it's probably all the same company behind the URL."

"I was able to replace my iPhone 6S screen with ease with this new replacement screen and everything seems to be working well so far! The screen did not come with the adhesive to put around edge like the iPhone 6S plus screen replacement that I bought for another phone but it fits snug. This screen also seems to include the sensor that allows auto dimming. The iPhone 6S plus screen replacement that I bought earlier this year apparently did not have that sensor so the auto dimming feature is not available in the settings. All in all, it seems like a great product for a great price."
"Great number of Apple spare parts, excellent quality. The only problem was delivery service: I choose FEDEX, it shoud be 5 days delivery including weekend. When I was asked by Fedex to send invoice and etc to process custom clearance (on Sunday), I sent all docs imidiately, but delivery was stopped for several days and no info, why (I had to make a call to Fedex myself). Then Fedex delivered goods without any notification, asked for paying taxes (25 USD taxes, when goods value was 40 USD - even if VAT in our country is 21%) and what was very strange, I had to pay other 14 USD as clearance surchrage. OK, I can live with it, but: courier was not able to accept credit or debit cards and when I want to pay by equivalent of 100 USD banknote, he had not money change back?!?!"
"Needed to replace my Apple MacBook Pro battery. After some extensive online research & video tutorials I found iFixit. They provided step by step instructions, with photos and tools to use. Previewing the instructions gave me the confidence that I could complete the battery replacement on my own. I was able to directly buy the battery and tools as a kit from iFixit. Delivery was approximately 4 days, less than the shipping notice expectation of a week. The instructions stated 10-45 minutes required, I was toward the slow side, as my laptop had a lot of pet hair inside the cooling fan that required cleaning. The only problem I encountered was the 3 plastic screw lugs from the old battery broke off on removal, which prevented the new battery from seating properly. Once I realized what happened, and cleared the broken lugs out everything fit back perfectly. I am super excited that I was able to do this work on my own, and am very appreciative of the instructions. I will have to change my wife's computer battery soon, and will be back to order it.
