"I have an older (Mid 2012) MBP, and was curious to discover how involved replacing the battery in it would be. It's got reasonable specs even now in 2018, but a 3-hour battery life just wasn't gonna cut it as a daily-driver. iFixit's video was reassuring - the swap was simple, and I could safely ignore the sticker on the old battery warning me to "Do not remove the battery". Sourcing a new battery (and the tools to replace it) couldn't have been easier - right there on the page was an option to buy the things I needed! In a few days, I had everything in-hand, and was able to confidently swap in the new battery in about 30 minutes.

I couldn't be happier - with a fresh battery (and upgrades to memory, HDD), this old girl has been granted a new lease on life, and will serve me well for some years to come!

"Took me about a half hour because the screws were a bit challenging with the magnetic tool but otherwise it was very easy to do. My IPhone 5S battery had been pushing my screen out, it was quite bulged out and I wasn't sure if anything else was damaged, happy to say all is good. I took it into the ATT store to have the sims card set back to my phone seeing I had to downgrade while waiting on the battery shipment, they were very impressed that I did it myself and for under $35.00"

"Replacement went ok. The kit has everything you need except for a couple of screws. In my case I found that on the disassembly of the phone a couple of those micro screws rounded getting them out. I found the instruction were very good. I wish there were a little more on putting the front camera cable in place. I didn't notice that in the disassembly it folded over. First time with a phone and some of it could of been just me. Kit came on time. "
